  1. Hi, Just do a search of the forum. I think there are many complaints regarding AHS. I flew from Australia to Thailand to have my hair transplant and I suggest that you contact Doctor Madhu who is in India and is probably a short trip by plane. There is no point spending money of procedures that more than likely give you a poor results. Hey, I'd even consider travelling from Australia to India and having a procedure done with him. Good luck with your decision. Regards Rod
  2. Hi, Thank you for the update. Glad that the result so far is encouraging. It should thicken up in the next few months. Regards Rod
  3. Hi Aman, I've had a look at your photos before/after and you definitely had some growth at six months. You need to sit back and wait for the end result and try not to worry too much. It isn't helping you... From everything that I have read H & W stand behind their patients and will provide assistance if your HT has less than desirable results. Good luck. Regards Rod
  4. Hi, Are you taking finasteride or minoxidol? You need to do this if you intend to have a HT even though it is a small session. Regards Rod
  5. Hi, Some clients even though the clinic has a high standard simply do not grow and usually this is mentioned as poor physiology. Apparently this may happen in 1 or 2 cases out of a 100. Good luck Albion please give us an update when everything has been sorted. Regards Rod
  6. Hi, Transmed is a recommended HT clinic on this forum. I read so many posts from HT patients indicating how wonderful their experience was with a HT surgeon only to read many months later that the results were less than expected or they never follow up again and provide us with information. It provides us all with a lesson to realise the final result is all that matters. I have been reluctant to make posts until I am 12 months past my HT surgery. In a situation like this I think that it is very important for the HT clinic to provide feedback and to do their best to help a patient. After all it is a very expensive procedure to get done. Regards Rod
  7. Hi, It is my understanding that what we pay for is the procedure and many clinics have contracts that indicate that less than optimum results may occur. Whilst I haven't been a member on this forum for years I am yet to read of a clinic refunding a patient's money. It would be difficult to undergo a HT after such a poor a result but it may have been a one off by the clinic. Good luck and I hope it works out okay for you. Regards Rod
  8. Hi Doctor Madhu, Thank you for your response to this thread. I'll send Tom and email and get him to respond to this thread. Kind Regards Rod
  9. Hi, Both doctors are recommended on the site. I think I remember reading that Tom had experience shockloss with his first transplant. I hope this gets sorted for you and it would be great to ascertain what backup the clinic is willing to offer. Tom is the only veteran member that I know of to have undergone a HT with Doctor Madhu's clinic and I think that it is important that the issue is resolved for him. Looking at the photographs it is a bit difficult to see the result in the recipient area. Regards Rod
  10. Hi Tom, Thank you for the update regarding your HT with Doctor Madhu. Firstly I'm glad that you recipient area has improved for you but it is definitely an issue that the donor area is so thin. It looks like you have shock loss in this area. I'm wondering whether you have had feedback from the clinic? Kind Regards Rod
  11. Hi, Well it sounds like you have a plan and your taking your time before taking the plunge and having a HT procedure. I would be a little leary of having FUE if the clinic has only just commenced this type of procedure, despite good FUT results. Have you considered Doctor Kesser? He has just been recommended on this forum and only performs FUE procedures. Good luck. Regards Rod
  12. Hi, Yes 1200 grafts looks about right but what is the yield for an FUE procedure? You should take your time and read the numerous previous threads that will provide you with a large amount of information. I know that you have looked at 2 clinics which are recommended on this forum but do they have top notch experience with FUE procedure? Good luck with your decision. Regards Rod
  13. Hi, You can make contact with Doctor Madhu via email but I would suggest that you need to wait about 8 - 10 months before trying to correct the scars. I don't really know too much regarding scar reduction surgery but you probably need to have an assessment in person prior to organising any type of surgery. Regards Rod
  14. Hi, My understanding of HT procedure that in a case like you have presented a patient would have 1 surgery and not 3. I presume that the surgeon did not have the resources to pull off 1 surgery to avoid 3 donor scars. I would suggest that you consult with Doctor Madhu in India. He is the only surgeon in India who is recommended on this site. Your donor scar looks like it is pretty wide imo. Good luck. Regards Rod
  15. Hi Organix, I have personal experience with DHT clinic but Doctor Pathomvanich did not perform my HT. The second Doctor at the surgery performed my HT which I had in August 2010. I guess I'm a little over 8 months. I was a norwood VI and there is no way that I would get full coverage due to the limitations of the procedure i.e scalp laxicity and donar area. I found them to be professional. I read there faq and it does provide quite a bit of information. 1. I would ask what is the percentage of success outcomes and what they consider to be successful i.e. anything under 90% growth rate? 2. If patient has poor yield what backup will the clinic provide? 3. Find out how to pay on the day? 4. What happens if you have a wide scar due to FUT? You can do your own research on this website regarding the merits of FUE and FUT but if you need a large procedure FUT appears to be the way to go. I think the clinic charges 85 bht per graft for the procedure. You need to be aware that in most clinics you are paying for the procedure and there is no guarantee on a good outcome. If you do due diligence you will notice that there are some people who experience poor yield and who have had their HT at top quality clinics. From my understanding this can occur due to physiological issues with the patient. Considering I was norwood VI I'm quite happy with the outcome. A bit more thickness in my hairline would be great but I have to be realistic that I probably had about 100 hairs on my scalp before the procedure. I believe that Fargo provides good HT in England would it not be cheaper to have it done in the UK when you factor in travel? In my instance I go to Thailand for my holidays and it wasn't much of an effort to travel to Bangkok. I hope these comments help. Regards Rod
  16. Hi, Do some research regarding this doctor and use the search engine and this will provide you with feedback from unhappy clients about their HT results. I would suggest trying Doctor Madhu because at least Pat (owner of forum) has checked his HT results. No point getting a cheap HT if it doesn't work. Regards Rod
  17. Hi, I didn't bother trying to hide the fact that I had a HT at work. I told a number of people I was going to have the procedure done and I'm sure a number of people thought I was crazy. I was a bit scared to rub my recipient area and my scalp was quite scabby at 1 month. I would say if you are quite bald it would be difficult to conceal that you had a HT for about 2 months. Btw many of my office workmates give me positive comments about the procedure. Regards Rod
  18. Hi Subbu, Your HT is coming along nicely. With regard to your second HT what part did your doctor concentrate on? Regards Rod
  19. Hi, About 15 years ago I had groin surgery as a result of a sporting injury and the surgeon used dissovable stitches. Almost 2 weeks after the surgery I had a similiar situation and pulled on what appeared to be a knot and a piece of string about 1/2 inch came out of my leg. I personally wouldn't worry too much about it but do get it checked out. Damn HT's the anxiety level goes so high after the procedure . Regards Rod
  20. Hi Vanman, I totally understand your position and I faced a similiar position that you do and unfortunately I don't earn a six figure income either. If some members can afford to spend $50K on a hair transplant then good luck to them . I originally looked closely at having my procedure done with Doctor Pong but in the end I decided to have it done by DHT Clinic in Bangkok. My reasoning was that I only ever intended to have one procedure completed and I hoped that I would get the result that was predicted for me. I have researched this forum and like yourself whilst I could only find a few posts they were all positive regarding Doctor Pong. I would suggest that he provide you with references for you to check by email or telephone. Perhaps he has client who resides in Canada? I think that if you do decide to have the procedure with Doctor Pong then you need to accept that you are taking a higher risk than going with a doctor is who recommended on the forum. I personally suggest conducting a little more due diligence and check some references and go for it if you wish to. In regard to having a HT whilst on holidays I basically had my holiday first and then had my procedure. I'm glad I did this because I really just wanted to go home after the procedure. It was difficult sleeping at night time and the first couple of days after the procedure I tried to go out shopping but had to cut it short due to pain I experienced. Good luck with your decision and please keep the forum up to date with your progress if you do have the procedure completed by Doctor Pong. Regards Rod
  21. Hi, Well as I see it you have two choices. One is to have a HT now and realise in the future that you will need to have further procedures because of hairloss or wait it out and see how your hairloss progresses. Do yourself a favour and check out Doctor Madhu if you do decide to have a HT. Regards Rod
  22. Hi Vanman, I suggest asking doctor pong to provide you with references from his customers and contacting them directly. You need to contact someone who is 12 months post operatively for them to provide you with a proven outcome. Also, ask him what his success rate is for HT's and the backup that he can provide you should you experience a low yield result. I had my HT performed at DHT clinic in Bangkok by Doctor Kulakarn and I paid 68 bht per graft for the procedure. I am 7.5 months post operation and I have experienced significant growth, however, the yield at the front of my hairline is still a bit less than I desire but I have still some way to go before my final result is known. I have frequented Doctor Pong's website many times and the prices quote are very good. Also, I have not read any negative comments on this forum regarding is HT results from members. Good luck with your decision. Regards Rod
  23. Hi, If you do a search on the forum you will find that there are a couple of members who have recently undergone a HT. Why not send them a pm and ascertain their progress. I think they are from Australia. How many grafts do you require? Regards Rod
  24. Hi, They probably didn't complete due diligence and went to a hack and don't have enough money to get it repaired or alternatively have been scared off undergoing another procedure. At least they have decided shave down and accept their fate and not go around wearing baseball caps out in public. Poor buggers but at least they accepted their fate. Regards Rod
  25. Hi Sintraco, Your HT looks good to my eyes. Follow your doctor's instructions and sit back and wait for the results. Don't good impatient waiting for your results and look at yourself in the mirror every 10 minutes . Regards Rod
