  1. Hi Subbu, Thanks for keeping the forum updated regarding your HT results so far. Your density looks similiar to mine and I am 7 months post operation although my doctor went a little further back i.e. I had more grafts transplanted. Good luck. Regards Rod ps. have you been back to the surgery to update them?
  2. Hi, This is a question that you should ask your surgeon... Regards Rod
  3. Hi TomA, Bump! Any chance that you can update the community regarding your HT results with Doctor Madhu? Regards Rod
  4. Hi, Doctor Madhu should be on the top of your list for a HT in India. Apart from that Doctor Rhada Rani operates from Visakhapatnam. She trained with Doctor Pathomvanich who has a sterling reputation and may be one to consider. That said, however, Doctor Madhu is recommended on this website. Do some research and understand that not everyone obtains the results that they wish. Kind Regards Rod
  5. Hi, HT is very expensive in Australia but apart from that I don't think there are any surgeons who are recommended on this website. Do some research on this website there are a couple of horror stories regarding HT surgeons from Australia. Regards Rod ps don't believe all what is said on flash websites...
  6. Hi Wb, I'm crossing my fingers for you and I hope you get the result you deserve! Regards Rod
  7. Hi, Doctor Pathomvanich who operates DHT Clinic has the best reputation in Thailand and is recommended on this forum. Doctor Pong also appears to obtain good results but isn't a recommended surgeon on this website but a couple of his clients have posted positive comments. I hope this helps. Regards Rod
  8. Hi Guys, I don't know whether to laugh or... regarding this post. Sorry to be so blunt.
  9. Hi, What I like about some of the doctors on this forum is that they or a representative will post and provide support to the client who is experiencing poor results. Perhaps this can happen in this case. It reassures the community that the clinic will offer support in cases like this. Just my opinion of course. Regards Rod
  10. Hi Guys, 2 really good posts and your comments are so true. Whilst my confidence did take a bit of a dent in my early 20's I still had a social life. To be honest there are harder things that you will face in your lifetime. Regards Rod
  11. Hi, In the mid to late 1990's I used Mane Hair Thickening Spray and I thought it worked quite good. I also wondered whether it was entirely safe to use and doesn't affect hair growth? Regards Rod
  12. Hi, If it affects your life so badly that you aren't getting out and about you really need to consider a HT. Life is too short imo. If you live in the US you could probably have it done with a reputable clinic for about $8000US. Really FUT is more affordable and in most cases leaves a very small scar. However, with your hairloss situation if you do decide to have one you should consider finasteride to slow it down. Good luck with your decision. Regards Rod
  13. Hi, You probably need to show the forum some photographs and let us know the specific condition that you are suffering. Who was the doctor who diagnosed you with this condition? Life can be tough and losing hair at a young age can really affect your confidence BUT I have to say that your life is not over. I lost 50% of my hair at 21 years old and it did affect my confidence. I ended up marrying a really nice and attractive wife (married now for 23 years) and I have 3 kids. I wish you well and I hope you get thru this so that you can enjoy your life. Kind Regards Rod
  14. Hi, If you conduct research on this site you will know that typically 90% of hair shed after a few weeks. Do yourself a favour and read threw the myriad of threads to ease the concerns that will arise after your HT procedure. This is what I did and it helped with many of the issues that arose after my procedure. Check out some of Spex's threads. He provides some really good information. Btw who did your procedure for you. The clinic should have provided this information for you. Regards Rod
  15. Hi, I am 49 years old and I recently underwent a HT procedure. I had similiar hairloss to you and started to lose my hair at about 20 years of age. In my day hairloss medication didn't exist until 10 years ago and it was quite expensive. Prior to my HT I estimate that I was a norwood VI. I sure wish that I had the opportunity to slow down my hairloss by using proven medication. Btw I recently tried propecia and I had side effects and stopped the medication. The side effects went away after a week. Give the medication a go and see how it affects you. No point in having a HT if you have further hairloss. Good luck Regards Rod
  16. Hi, Doctor Rhada Rani completed her training with Doctor Pathomvanich, in Bangkok. If she performs her HT's at the level that would have been expected at DHT Clinic you should get a good result. Subbu, I heard that a couple of the hair technicians from Thailand work with her at the clinic. Is this true? Good luck. Regards Rod
  17. Hi, You haven't provided any photos which makes it difficult to provide you with information. You have ruled out finasteride and minoxidil which are the 2 main weapons in preventing further hairloss. Currently it appears that you are 27 years of age. You need to research this website and understand that you have LIMITED donor hair to use. You are still young and by not using medications to prevent further hairloss you are at risk of number HT surgeries, subject, of course to available donor hair to use. Good luck, Regards Rod
  18. Hi, Your HT result is really good. I think that when everything goes well with a HT that most people will get a good result. But we really need to do our homework on when researching the limitations of HT and also make sure that the clinic is top notch. I see a number of young men undergoing HT's (not directing this comment to you) when their hairloss is minimal. Regards Rod
  19. Hi Vincent, I will cross my fingers for you. Just a couple of things if you go out in the sunshine and wear a baseball cap make sure that the little pointy metal part on top doesn't touch your grafts. I ended up using an umbrella. Take it easy for a couple of days until you recover. Regards Rod

    Six months post HT

Hi Guys, I thought I'd let you know that I have been having some pretty good growth in the last 2 months. I have attached some new photographs which show my current growth. I will say the photo with non flash is pretty result with my result so far. Btw I underwent the surgery at DHT Clinic in Bangkok with Doctor Kulakarn who is the second doctor working with Doctor Pathomvanich. Regards Rod
  21. Hi, No offence but you probably need to do your research properly. The doctor offered you 50% of your deposit back if you undergo a HT procedure with the clinic. To be honest it took about 3 - 4 weeks for the scabs to come off. I am a norwood VI and I went back to work after 2 weeks. My understanding is it takes about 10 days for the grafts to be secure in your scalp and I think it wouldn't be advisable to start rubbing them until this time. I think my clinic told me that 14 days after the procedure I could gently rub the scabs off. Best of luck. Regards Rod
  22. Hi, It is still a little hard to tell from the photos but it is a little see thru but at 8 months there is still some way to go before you stop growing. Btw I think the HT looks very refined. Regards Rod
