  1. Hi, I had my HT procedure in August last year and prior to leaving on my holiday I told quite a few people in my office and friends. I'm about 6 months post operation and I get really positive comments from my work colleagues. Initially, I did get a bit of teasing from some friends but now they are amazed at how natural it looks. I wish you luck. Regards Rod
  2. Hi, I had a HT in Thailand last year and to be honest once I had undergone the surgery I really just wanted to go home. After about 4 days things did settle down somewhat but I was glad that I was home. Not sure if I would have wanted to party after a HT. Why don't you enjoy your holiday first and towards the end of it undergo the surgery and a few days later go home? Btw it took about 3 - 4 weeks before I had lost all my scabs. Regards Rod
  3. Hi Rasu, I hope your HT goes well. It is a bit hard to tell how your density will work out but you do have some native hair and with a bit of luck get a good result. Regards Rod
  4. Hi, I'm currently at 5.5 months post HT procedure. At 3 months I experienced almost no growth. Some transplanted hairs did not fall out but I would estimate this at about 10%. At 4-5 months the hair went pretty crazy and I have seen quite a bit of growth. Everyone is different but you should see some results prior to six months. I wish you well. Regards Rod
  5. Hi EJ, I'm really sorry for your situation and I recommend that you work with Doctor Cooley to resolve this issue. Is he a recommended Doctor on this forum? Regards Rod
  6. Hi, It is my understanding that at about 14 days after the operation you grafts are totally secure. Be very careful how vigorously you rub the grafts. I had my operation almost 6 months ago and it took about 4 weeks to look relatively normal. It is better to go to work looking a bit unusual than to ruin your HT and get below standard results. I'm quite proud to have undergone my procedure and I didn't care if I had funny looks at work during the first couple of weeks. Did your clinic worn what would happen after the HT? Kind Regards Rod
  7. Hi EJ, I was wondering how you feel about the results from your HT? The donor area appears to have been scarred quite a bit. What has Doctor Cooley been able to offer you to fix the problem? Is he a recommended HT surgeon on this forum? I hope you get the results you deserve and have this problem fixed. Kind Regards Rod
  8. Hi, This is totally one persons version of events compared with a completely different version from Doctor Umar. I don't want to be mean but it isn't the clinics problem regarding issues surrounding financing your HT. If it is their procedure to pay prior to the surgery there is nothing that can be done about it. If you don't like there practice of requiring pre payment chose another clinic for your HT surgery. I paid for my surgery 1 month prior to having it completed and I experienced no problems. Don't mean to be inflamatory but I am just stating my opinion. Regards Rod
  9. Hi, I had my surgery at DHT Clinic, Bangkok, last year. To be honest I was fairly out of it because of the medication and I wouldn't have a clue who did what during the procedure. Time seemed to really fly and I only started to feel a little impatient after about 8 hours in the chair. If you have any doubts why don't you ask the surgeon? I think it is best to have these concerns addressed before you start getting anxious about them. Good luck and I really hope that the procedure goes well for you? Are you from Australia? Btw do not go out into sunshine without having your head covered and I suggest using an umbrella if you have to and if you do use a baseball style cap make sure that the little metal part on the top doesn't rest on your scalp. I remember early in the process I kept worrying about everything that I did was going to affect my HT. Regards Rod
  10. Hi, Good luck with your procedure and keep us updated. Regards Rod
  11. Hi, I don't wish to be mean to be disrespectful to the previous post but I check out the doctor's website and I would be concerned about having a HT with this clinic. Where is the evidence that the clinic has proven results. It would be good to see before/after photos at 12 months to ascertain the results from this HT. Regards Rod
  12. Hi, Apart from being disappointed with the scheduling of your hair transplant procedure I presume that you have been refunded the payment that you made to Doctor Umar? I wish you well. Perhaps you should contact DHT clinic Bangkok who performed my transplant. It was smooth sailing as far as I am concerned. Regards Rod
  13. Hi, I think that your hair looks pretty normal. Don't be too worried about your hair unless you start to see some noticeable thinning. By all means keep an eye on your hair to ensure that you get on medication to prevent further loss but at this stage your hair looks great. My hair was Visibly thin at 21 years of age. Go off and have a good life and stop worrying it doesn't achieve anything. Regards Rod
  14. Hi, I have pictures of my grandfather and just before he died at 71 years of age he had a full head of hair whilst I had lost over 50% of mine by 21 years of age . Regards Rod
  15. Hi, Thank you for taking the time to document your HT with Doctor Madhu's clinic. I had a HT with DHT Clinic in Thailand in August 2010. I would dearly like to go back for a second run to add some hair to my crown but cost is a major consideration. The photographs that you have shown appear to show that the procedure went quite well. How do you feel about having to to wait for the results to grow? Regards Rod
  16. Hi Sammy, I am a little confused. Do you live in the U.S. but had a tranplant in Hyderabad, India? There is nothing that you can do but wait for the outcome of your transplant. Have you started finasteride and minoxidil? These treatments may prevent further hairloss for you. I hope it works out well for you. Regards Rod
