  1. I posted this on another thread, but Dr. Rassman posts updates on Acell: ACell - Hair Loss Information
  2. According to Dr. Rassman, using neck hair might not be a good idea: Transplanting from My Hairy Neck - Balding Blog
  3. I tried the foam too but it still irritated my scalp. Boo!
  4. I had to stop taking minoxidil (Rogaine and generic) because I got a pretty bad cause of dandruff. I was getting huge clumps of dry scalp, and they turned green! Anyone else have a similar reaction?
  5. Are you only trying to do online consultations? Are you too far away from the prospective surgeons? I don't see why virtual consultations cant be all right as long as they are done with a very reputable surgeon.
  6. On a related note, Dr. Rassman has a categorized his posts related to Acell: ACell - Hair Loss Information
  7. If you're not experiencing any side effects by now you should be all right. The Wal-Mart generic should be fine; the ingredients should be more or less the same as in Rogaine (you can compare them side-to-side).
  8. Since the transplanted hair comes from the DHT resistant part of your scalp, you shouldn't get shockloss from those guys. Most people get shockloss in their vulnerable areas, especially if they are not on finasteride. Are you planning to use one of the Coalition members?
  9. Have you already put a deposit down? Have you tried to thoroughly research him?
  10. Why did you put money down without doing thorough research first? Even if Pistone is great (I don't know anything about him) it is wise to see what experiences people have had with him.
  11. Rogaine can regrow hair but for most people it may just slow down the process. Unfortunately hair is not going to grow where it had not been previously.
  12. Jeez, sorry to hear that. What was wrong with the first procedure? Did some of the grafts not grow? They should have replaced them for free. Yeah, Bernstein is expensive. I never went to him for a consultation so I can't say if he is negotiable. I went with True and Dorin and they were willing to work with me because I wasn't sure if I could the entire surgery.
  13. NY has True and Dorin, Bernstein, and Feller. They are all great and the former aren't that expensive either.
  14. Wow, you just seem like a very good healer. I don't see any cause for alarm. Hopefully your hair will go sooner than expected as well!
  15. If you search this forum (and the rest of the web) you can find a lot of disgruntled people that came from those big chains like Nuhart and Bosley. Your procedure is going to be permanent, don't risk it by going to someone that hasn't been properly vetted.
  16. According to Hasson and Wong they seem to be a good thing to do: Hair Transplant Prep > Scalp Laxity Exercises - Hasson & Wong
  17. Yeah, you should wait to see what finasteride and minoxidil do for you before anything else. Then you could make a better informed decision about surgery.
