  1. When the lady made the followup appointment with me on the phone, I specifically asked her if the doctor will be there and she said no, only the consultant will be present. That is pretty dodgy because it's like having surgery done at the hospital and to be followed up by somebody like the social worker or dietician, instead of the surgeon. Surely the doctor's assistance would know more than the consultant!! It just doesnt seem right!
  2. :confused:Hey guys. I was wondering when you reached 6 months post op, did you have a follow up appointment with the doctor? I just got called up for the follow up appointment but it's with the consultant(as in the PR guy) rather than the doctor, which I find it a bit dodgy seeing it was the doctor who did the transplant and would know better. The only time I had contact with the consultant was prior to the transplant when he gave me the quote for the procedure. Is this normal?
  3. I am three months post my 1500 grafts hair transplant and I have noticed the donar site area at the back of my head feels lumpy. Is this common during the healing processl ????
  4. Can anyone shed some light on when can I start using my regular shampoo again? I am at week three post hair transplant of 1500 grafts. Cheers
  5. Is it ok to shave the grafts (hair) after the scabs have come off? or better let the hair shed on its own? I am day ten post hair transplant (1500).
  6. Thanks for the suggesstions Tsakalos but I am not able to wear a hat or any sort of covering at work. I have one more week to go before I return to work so the only thing that I am hoping for is that all the hair on the recipient site will be shed off by then which I know is not gonna happen. Any other suggestions?
  7. Thanks heaps for the responses guys! Fortunately the scabs have now all gone but leaving behind a two days growth stubble look on the recipient site. Still have a week left to go before work so Im hoping the hair would have all shed off by then, which I know is highly unlikely to happen. No hats allowed with my job so the only option I have is to hide it with my fringe which is not long enough! What did you guys do with the stubble looking area when you went back to work?
  8. Day nine post hair transplant and the scabs on the recipient area (front) is pretty much all gone except the odd scab here and there. I am now left with this stubble look on the used to be receeding frontal area. What did you guys do to hide it? I can use the fringe for the middle bit but that wont be enough to hide the side. Back to work in six days. I am gonna get some weird looks on peoples faces..arghhh!
  9. hairy,

  10. I just had 1500 grafts hair transplant yesterrday and will be going back to work in 14 days. I work in the public sector and I am embarrassed that people will ask what happened to my hairline. Can anyone here who's in the same boat as me share some excuses that I could use at work? My work does not allow me to wear a hat and I wear a uniform!!! Cheers
