  1. Hey John! How is yours coming along? Nope no products only water and some shaving foam to neaten the edges around the temples and ears, I am trying to keep it as clean/natural as possible whilst the hairs are still maturing.
  2. Thanks HG1! You're coming along swimmingly for 7 months! You must be extremely excited too!
  3. HG!! Looking great man! Can't wait to see the next few months for you!
  4. Hi Wjc, The doctor did mine. I'm not sure how much difference it makes, there are a lot of variables to be considered such as - how many has the tech done in the past? How often does the doctor do it? Is it a new tech? etc.... The Doctor did mine channels and extraction, I didn't know until recently when someone else mentioned it that the techs do it on some people as that option wasn't presented to me at the time of booking nor during my appointment. Also I've attached some photos from today (excuse the tired eyes...it was the birthday weekend, and def playing catch up from all the activities!) I am now about 5 months + 3 weeks since the op and decided to go get my first cut from my barber since Nov! He was amazed how it looked, especially from his past experience with my hair. We decided to fade it from a 1 at the bottom into a 2 and then leave the top to grow. I think it looks great and unless you're at the perfect angle you can not notice the extraction site! Hair is getting thicker in the hairline too, just noticed a few single hairs sprouting through last night! There is still a lot to be filled in just behind the hairline and in the temples, but I am beyond excited about my progress so far, fingers crossed that I have even more growth coming soon! But the comparison from pre-transplant to now is insanely different! Keep you all posted for 6 month mark June 13th!!
  5. Hi Nazim, I had PRP but perhaps your best bet would be to consult with at least 3 doctors (recommended ones here first) and get their input. Are you just in the start of your hair transplant research or have you been looking for a while? This website has tons of forums and threads with ALOT of incredible information to browse through.
  6. Hi Nazim, Welcome to the forum it looks like! What stage are you regarding your hair loss? 1. That is up to debate, some people (Myself included) don't want to add additional chemicals into the body, so we take a more holistic approach with Saw Palmetto instead of Fin. The transplanted hair itself will grow naturally. 2. Sometimes yes, what you're referring to is know as shock loss. Some people have it, others dont. 3. Swelling yes, the majority of my swelling went down after about 10 days. I still had some leading up to 30. 4. Yes and no. The most painful part was the anesthetic, 30-50 shots in the head was painful to numb the nerves, during the procedure felt like a head massage. I had pain in the recipient area for about 30 days maybe a little more. Nothing crazy but irritating. 5. I went back to work about 3 days after the op, but didnt look amazing. Just I have great coworkers who are not judgemental. Depends on how you feel.
  7. Sean- long time man! Thank you for the kind words! Hope all is well buddy!! HG1- thanks! Yes very pleased with the results so far, and looking forward to even more density over the next few months! Your results are looking incredible too! From where I started to now, I'm blown away by the difference!
  8. Hitherehair- I see what you mean its because some of the hair is starting to flop down on the right side (left from pic) and makes the other side look off, trust me in person it's not noticeable and looks natural yeah super pumped about the density!!
  9. From where you were defiantly an improvement, but I would be concerned about the lack of density I know it's still early days, hoping it fills in pretty soon for you bud. That left side seems interesting that it's so sparse, there didn't seem to be a noticeable differenec between May 1 to May 2,9. Hoping it pops out shortly ?
  10. 168 days! Just over 5 1/2 months! Decided to do a slightly different take of the photos and show what the hair looks like immediately after the shower! Even when my hair is wet it's looking crazy thick at this stage! I am blessed with a lot of multiple hairs that help with density, just a shame the originals didn't stay haha!! Again it's getting thicker and thicker each week! The hairline is coming in strong, a few areas that look a little sparse but I am confident that they are filling in. I am currently growing out the hair, I may just trim the sides to keep it looking better. I'll update on June 13th (or around then) when it's the official 6 month mark! Can't wait to see what the next 2 weeks brings!
  11. Thanks whereto, it's certainly becoming alot less noticeable, even colleagues at work are amazed (the ones who I see quarterly) Johnp- I think that's the plan now, I'm comfortable with growing it out as it's thickening even more. Shuriken- thanks man! Huge improvement from my past loss! It's crazy how different it looks!
  12. Day 160- Not much has changed really except for thickening of the follicles. Each week it's looking better and better, still a few areas that seem to be lagging behind, but hopefully they start catching up soon. Also attached some photos in natural light outside in comparison. Looking forward to it thickening up even more over the next few months as it still looks kinda sparatic and thin in some areas.
  13. Whereto - that's what I am thinking Fortune- thanks man, might be a consideration, just depends on how much more fills in
  14. 5 months! 151 days! Wow, time really has flown by! The operation is all but a distant memory (kind of lol). Just comparing between 10 days ago and now there's even more growth! Not sure if everyone else experienced the same feelings of well I guess not much more is going to change and then boom you compare your photos and notice how much has changed! I know I'm only at 5 months but I think I'm at the stage where I wish there was more density already, hopefully, that will come down the road I know we should wait for 12-18 months to really judge the result but so far I am super happy! Just want more density now and not have to wait lol! But in comparison to what I had before, this is 1000x better! My temples have a few hairs that are flopping down, which seems strange to me but hopefully, this is a good sign and not a bad angle placement of the grafts. I can see even more little hairs sprouting through the hairline so that's exciting, and the left side is starting to catch up to the right-hand side I did cave and buzzed down to a 2 about 5 days ago and think I may just now try going out the top and maintaining the sides.
  15. Wow! That looks great! You must be extremely happy right about now knowing that you have so much more to grow!! Congratulations! I'm hoping I'll have the same at my 6 month 2 week mark, you set the standard high lol.
  16. Thank you Wheretogo...it's getting better every week! I just went through every photo on my forum page and wow! It's crazy how much has changed over the last 2 months!!
  17. We're about 11 days shy of the 5 month mark! I decided to let it grow out a little, I am getting so used to having hair and I keep thinking that it's as good as it's going to get, then when I look at photos from the past weeks I realize how much has grown. I still see new hairs sprouting through the hairline and in the gappy areas. I am excited so far, but now getting impatient haha! So far I would say my progress has been great! I just want to skip forward to the next 4 months and see where I will be at. The next update I will do will be 5/13 the 5 month mark!! WOO!! Time really is flying by and I'm still amazed about how different everything looks! When I mention to people about the transplant they say that they can't tell the difference (if they are being nice and just saying that I am not sure) but I can certainly tell at the moment lol! Hoping that my hairline starts to fill in more with density as well as just behind the hairline, but we have a lot of time to grow still
  18. HG1! Wow! That's such an improvement! I can see that the density is getting even thicker! You must be very excited right now! Looking great man!
  19. Thanks John! I do apply coconut oil probably 1-2 weekly at night when I head to bed. I do think there are a few doubles in the hairline, not too many and hopefully won't be too noticeable when it grows out to a longer length.
  20. 4 and 1/2 months! Woo! Time is flying and I'm certainly getting used to having more hair. I keep looking in the mirror thinking this is it and nothing more will grow but then I compare to photos from a week ago and can see so the thickness even more so! I think I am just getting used to seeing the same look each day and praying for more thickness quicker than it can come lol. I'm so happy to have these photos for documentation so I can reference them and tell myself that I am just being crazy and paranoid haha! I caved and buzzed down to a 2 again and trimmed the top with scissors a few days ago.
  21. Matty! How's everything conning along brother? Hope all is growing well. Any updates?
  22. Thanks John! Haha I know but it's not quite as thick as I want it just yet...so I may lol Wheretogo- yep between 20-30% already I'm ecstatic! Even just between last week so much has changed. Up the B-12 and any other b complexes to have, that'll help with the breakouts from Biotin. I'd say the right side is overtaking the left in thickness so far. Thanks Justin! Excited to see your 6 month update!
  23. Hi All! 4 months and 1 week! Wow the time is flying! I compared these pictures to Feb 1st and wow so much has changed! Each day everything is getting thicker and thicker. I spoke to Dr. Cinik after sending him my updates and everything is looking on par, right now he said about 20-30% of the hairs have grown and over the next few weeks/months we should see the following Month 3: 10% Month 4-5: 20-30% Month 6-7: 40-50% Month 8-9: 60-70% Month 10-12: 80-90+% I am very excited to see how things change over the next few weeks. I am considering cutting my hair one more time...it's almost like an addiction haha, but kind of want to grow it out and try styling soon...i'll give it 2 weeks and see if I should or not Hope everyone is well and growing too
  24. 4 months! Well, I'm at the 4 month mark and boy has it been fun! Every other day I feel that the hair is getting thicker and thicker! Loving the fact that I have a hairline and I'm thinking now I will probably start growing it out properly!
