Circa 3 1/2 month update.

Growth is now looking incredible, I’m increasingly optimistic about the prospects here.

For what it’s worth, I have been washing my head everyday as normal once in the morning and once at night with a shampoo provided by the clinic. I then moisturise my head, apply Miele rosemary oil and take a generic biotin pill.

For those interested in how the chest is healing, I’m quite happy with it. I do get a couple of spots, which I pop but those are few and far between. I’ve had a few ingrown hairs too, which my girlfriend helped me pluck. IMG_1862.thumb.jpeg.4b361141bcb8599f94930f66ae82f910.jpeg

Your chest healed very well. Mine took 6 months to clear up.

Month 4 Update - I’m really happy with how the growth has started to come in already, though I’m somewhat scared I may have plateaued quite early. I’m not sure if ‘too much too soon’ is a thing, but I guess that’s the pessimist in me. Have a look for yourselves guys, I’ll be getting a haircut today so I’ll post some pictures when I get some more time.

The recovery of chest area has really gone to another level this month too, and as I’ve got a full beard now the beard is healed by proxy too.

This was as others have pointed out, a high risk,  reward situation! Seems like it is working out for you here! Will be following this one! ☝️

No real changes to report, I can see a few new hairs popping out so should be slightly better in two weeks. Still plenty of vallus hairs too which is promising.

QUESTIONS FOR THE COMMUNITY:

• Are those Golden/Clear wisps actually hair? IMG_1063.thumb.jpeg.da6ca51aa743ed095ff100f5adcf5498.jpeg

• in my hairline, there is a gap which feels completely smooth, I cannot see any hairs there either, does this mean the grafts in this section died / did not survive?

• Are there ingrown hairs? Or is this normal to have in the donor area one month post op? See pic belowIMG_1040.thumb.jpeg.39c00b2240e9e2fec5f4c236a1a2c1c1.jpeg

We all go thru this wondering if grafts survive. 4 months will show your initial results and gain you some confidence. It is an emotional roller coaster the first 4 months for sure.

@OleBaldy I’ve been pretty lucky to be honest, my expectations have already been met and more, my emotional rollercoaster starts now as I wonder if I’ll see anymore success
