My Background -"I will be 28 in 2 months. I have been losing hair since 2010. It was super aggressive, maybe till 2015 or 16, then it slowed down. I was still losing a bit of hair and also not to ignore the miniaturization. In fact, I have discussed with almost every doctor in India and a few others outside India. Normally, I started shaving my head once a week starting in 2014 onwards. I continued to do so till 2021. After that, I let it grow a bit to count the number of hairs I was losing. So, I slowed down the frequency of shaving my head, making it like once every 2-3 months. Also, I have to mention that I had a wide forehead from my childhood, but it was not very noticeable as I used to pull my hair back to the front since I had very thick and dense hair at that time. However, hair loss over the years made it worse.

Family history of Baldness-  No in my family or extended family is NW7. My father has full head of hair, but some of my uncles (both side) have crown thinning (diffused thinners)

Medication- After thorough testing and consultations, I made the decision to start taking finasteride as a measure to combat my hair loss. Commencing around November 28th, 2022, I began with a conservative approach, initially administering a mere 0.5mg every other day for approximately 45-50 days. Gradually, I transitioned to a daily intake of 0.5mg for the subsequent 30 days. With cautious optimism, I further adjusted the dosage, incrementally elevating it to around 0.7 or 0.8mg daily for the subsequent 10-15 days. Eventually, I settled on a regular dosage of 1mg per day, which I have consistently maintained to this day, taking Dr Reddy's Finasteride for close to 90 days now.

Also at the same time, I started applying topical Minoxidil 5% on my beard(not on scalp) to increase the density of my beard.

Pre-Finasteride pics (Taken around March 2022)--

Pic quality was not good as mostly taken by myself randomly ..Light inside the room was bad.  Hair length was small as I used to shave frequently. Maybe in pics hair would be of 3-4 weeks.image.thumb.png.5c376cee20f8512c43d719cf52e5462f.png

After Finasteride (around 7.5 months on Finasteride with the above mentioned dose)--

These pics were taken at the Eugenix at the very beginning. Hair was of 7 weeks approx.

Planning and Design::--

It was done by Dr Arika Bansal. She came in, and explained a bit a bout medications then drew the hairline. I didnt even need to say anything. It was just perfect. I always wanted an aggressive hairline to make my face look a bit better. It was just  what I wanted.

Conclusion-

#Overall it was a good experience. Pain management was good. The slit making was done by Dr Somesh. Implantation was done by technicians. Dr Somesh was visiting from time to time. Post care explanation and support staff were brilliant. I am looking forward to see the result now.

But I would appreciate any feedback on donor management and density of my hairline from the above pics.

Happy growing. The work looks nice! So you selected the exclusive package with dr soumesh but dr arika came to do the design ? What was the price for your case ?

I had opted for 120+18% GST some time back. I think they gave me that planning and design part as part of complimentary or something.

In my case, Planning and Design- Dr Arika Bansal. Slit making- Dr Somesh

i also tried hair shaving couple of times back in 2017, but it wasn’t for me 🙁

Work looks super clean, you should expect great density. And to answer your question no it wasn’t not over harvested. Moreover, eugenix do use sharp punches. As a result, less scars and faster recovery for donor.

Hey man, Thanks for your insights. I have been following your post too. I actually asked Dr Somesh about you. Asked him if could recall doing repair to a guy from Bangladesh, and he immediately recognized.

Hopefully we both get good results. I am desperately need a good density in frontal side and hopefully that changes my appearance. Cheers !!!

Yes, brother. If you get a good density in your frontal side it'll change your look completely. My hairline started to receded almost 10 years back. And when I did my first hair transplant, hairline looked very bizarre, low density. The reason for the failure was low survivality of the transplanted grafts. But I expect this time with Eugenix it'll be completely different. Dr. Somesh is a great surgeon. He prioritizes concerns of the patients. I hope both of us will have satisfactory result 😃

Bro, how do you feel about your transplanted area? I feel a bit numb. Does it get better or it's a permanent thing ?

This is a common issue after hair transplant. With time you’ll not feel numb at all. I also had bit numbness. But gradually it went away. Don’t worry.

I'm having the exact same feeling. Feels like there's a barrier on top of my head. As Shadman said, I'm sure it'll pass in a few weeks or less.

Best of luck.

You will definitely experience the numbness for quite some time.  A lot of anesthesia was used and it takes weeks to completely wear off.  Don't worry, this is perfectly normal.  If you bump your head, check it out.  The grafts will be fine but you may scratch or cut yourself and really not feel much at all.  Just be safe for a while.

Yeah, it's getting better. I am on day-15. It's definitely getting better. Still some numbness is there but much less and quite manageable. Hopefully it will be as it was before in a  month or so.

Yes, Thanks for the response. It is getting better. Much less now than what it was 1 week back.
