Hello everyone,
first of all thanks again to this forum which helped me to finalise the doctor/clinic ( @Eugenix Hair Sciences)  for my HT (had almost decided to do it somewhere else before coming to this forum, but I think I got saved) . Also thanks to @Gatsby @MazAB  @Yaasar - The Alpha for their inputs and @Melvin- Moderator  for all his work on this forum.
Now  it’s my turn to pay it forward. I hope that this post is informative and helpful to some.

Background:
  Age : 37
  NW Grade: 4/5
Started facing hair fall since my 20s . Had tried 100s of different, oil, shampoos and treatment.  Had also tried Fin+ Min combo around 8 years back for a year but stopped due to side effects.
I lead healthy lifestyle. Workout 6~7 days a week and eat healthy and high protein diet.   (Some time I do feel my intense workout and creatine might have trigged the hair loss more)

I used to cover the balding are using fibers very well for many years however it started to get easily  noticeable since last 4 years . Hence I started to think about doing HT 3~4 years back, but was anxious and nervous about it .  I always wanted to speak to someone who had done HT from the same doctor, to be assured that it is safe and there will be positive result. ( didn't want to take any chance even if it meant paying a little higher than normal.)  I Spent 3 years googling about best doctors however was still unsure, until I came across this forum accidentally four months back, while I was searching for reviews of a doctor.

Initial Planning:
Based on the online assessment I was proposed around 4500+  grafts
Frontal scalp: 3000
Mid scalp: Not Required
Crown:  1700
Thus, total graft requirement is  4700
Proposed Harvest from Scalp : 4000
Proposed Harvest from Beard : 700

Procedure (16 and 17th March 2022:

Will try to keep it sort and simple as most of the process and good things about @Eugenix Hair Science is already covered by many on this forum :) ( still would love to repeat the most import thing is that, the treatment and hospitality I received was excellent . felt very homely and was taken care very well by all the staff)  .  I went with a custom package as both Dr.Pradeep Sethi and Arika Bansal were beyond my budget to get the complete involvement, still I was fortunate to get Dr. Arika to do the planning and design) . I was also lucky to meet Dr. Sethi for a 5 minutes casual talk :)

Design and Planning:
On the day of Procedure, the initial planning and design was done by Dr. Arika. Due to my receding hairline on my donor area, and to preserve some for future (if in case required) I was advised to limit the extraction from scalp to 3000.  Also due to lack of density in my beard there was not much scope.  Due to this we had to go bit conservative on my hairline. (I wish it could have been little lower  :( )

Slits : Slits were made by Dr. Priyadarshini Das ( Which I had requested for ) . She is amazing and very caring.

Extraction and Implantations:  My procedure was split into two days and there were many technicians involved for Extraction and Implantations. Am able to recollect some of the names,  whom I spoke the most and were very friendly (  Girdhari, Ashish, Jaganath, Bapun, Amarendra Rakhya …) . They kept me calm and busy with discussions  throughout the process.
Also thanks to Kimi, I felt less to no pain whenever she was giving the Anaesthesia . I call her the Anaesthesia Specialist.

Also would like to thank Amandeep and Satyam for coordinating the entire process.

Final graft Count 3630 .
Scalp grafts: 2660
beard grafts: 870

Looks like a job well done, looking forward to following your journey man all the best! I am curious how many temple grafts you got on each side?

Actually I missed to asked about that . However If I understood correctly from the note on the board during my procedure it seems around 114 and 118. Seems bit less 😃

@PsSAUDid you consider trying finasteride again? Sometimes side effects don’t show at a lower dose, and I know Eugenix is usually pretty adamant on finasteride.

Yes I have started finasteride since a month now (after my first consultation with Eugenix) . Taking 1 mg alternate day . Faced some side effects and then changed the dosage to .5mg alternate day, and observed less sides. But doctor Arika said that’s too low when we discussed about it during my procedure.  Thinking to change it to .5mg every day .   Sorry missed to mention it in the details.   Will see if the side effects minimises after few months.  Happy to stop it the day I see a better alternative 😃.

Bro, your hairline looks really good. You dont need lower than that honestly and with the temple work it will give you a youthness hairline as 37 age. That is nicee hehe.

Question for the forum members. I have a bit oily scalp such that I have to shampoo atleast every alternate day if not every day.  I started facing this issue after loosing my hair .  I am at 4 day post surgery and it’s already very oily. Have atleast 3 more days to go before I wash my head . Does the excess oiliness on scalp can cause any issue to transplanted hair ?
I searched a bit and could see there are few threads on this question however there was no answer to it. Will appreciate any response to it. image.png.948963501667d6d8584ee254ce2fe38c.png

@PsSAU congratulations on making an excellent choice with Eugenix. It’s good to see another Aussie doing there research and not accepting what little to none that Australia has to offer in hair transplant surgery when compared to the best. I really like the hairline BTW. I look forward to following your results and thanks for sharing mate! 👍

This looks absolutely fantastic. Please be prepared for rhe shedding phase as it could start anytime now. You can start your Finasteride intake. Do let us know if you require anything at all. We wish you the best of results.

Looking good and healing nicely! You can already visualise how the hairline and temples are going to make such a vast improvement for you. Seeing you before the surgery, I can really picture the huge difference this is going to make for you! I can't wait to see your progress over the coming months.
