After my last minute pull out of surgery last time (from a different clinic), I've gathered enough conviction and courage to go through this again.

My surgery is scheduled for tomorrow

Approximate grafts: 1500 - 2000. Excited and scared

Update: 1700 grafts

Overall the procedure went fine IMO. It was a bit painful in between and they had to top up anesthesia almost 8 - 10 times. I asked the doctor if density can be improved at places where my hair was very thin but she isn't very keen to do so as transplanted hair would cover the sparse areas and finasteride would improve things. I'm not very sure of this though as I've been using finasteride for almost 2 years now

Day 10

PS: Why are temples looking so weird. One one side, at the bottom, it's unnaturally thick. On the other side, the angles are weird

Hey bro goodluck with your journey! I see what you are saying about the temples but maybe its a little bit early? Would love to get views of a more experienced member on this... @Captain Haddock had similar issues with his left temple.

I showed this to a friend who's more experienced with hair transplants than me and he feels these angles are very carelessly done and buzz cut would always look weird. Would love opinions of more experienced folks of the community and what I can do to correct this

Someone else recently posted about bad angles from Eugenix. Like you, they just recently had surgery. Most people thought it was hair starting to shed, thus the angles were not as they were Implanted. I'm honestly not sure if that's the case here but I do know that all you can do is wait at this point. Have you spoken with the clinic about this?

It's seldom that the transplanted hairs to the temple point region follow the right direction for a natural flow in the early stages. It typically comes after many months of maturity. Some of my temple hairs still grow at weird angles and I'm close to month 7. I know it's tough to look at but keep optimistic. You went to the best clinic for temple point reconstruction, so trust the process. It'll all fall into place.😉

@trek

Unfortunately my left temple angulations were done in a similar fashion, totally against the natural angulations and the explanation offered was that the angles would realign themselves after a few months but that never happened. I can't do buzz cuts anymore. However it can be camouflaged well when grown out.

The dark patches at the end of one or your temples is the resultant of some double grafts being implanted there, possibly because they ran out of singles. In such cases techs usually dissect the double into a single and then implant them. In your case unfortunately, it doesn't look like they did that. Some doubles seem to be have been mixed with the singles and hence the appearance.

Maz, I remember you posting something similar on my thread a year ago when I was worried about the angulations on my left temple.

It's been 15 months. The temple angulations don't change nor follow the natural angles after maturity.

They need to be implanted correctly from the get go.

I don't understand this as well. Hairs which are clearly angling in a different direction than natural surrounding hair, how do they course correct over time? Can't this argument be used for every early stage (bad) transplant with weird angulations ? Is there any document explaining this for temples?

I had to trim these hairs off  because a friend pointed it out today without me mentioning anything about my dissatisfaction. I've to say, feels bad
