"Dry shampoo is not supposed to be used as a daily routine. It's more to be used as a boost when you need it every once in a while. Washing should still be the preferred way to get it dryer. If you use daily and don't wash daily, it can cause some buildup. It may be that it caused breakage, if you used it for a while (especially combined with more products). So give it a few months without it and see if you recover."

Well, credit to Dr. Ferreira for the quick response. Hopefully it grows back and I didn't just add a bunch of money to my next procedure 🙃

Ok, Raccoon... Broooo. Your hairline looks incredible! I understand being neurotic and picky, but as someone else said earlier, you have movie star level hair right now - especially in the hairline! Personally, considering your young age, I would hang tight for a few years before even considering a followup procedure - because as much as I relate to being a perfectionist and wanting things to meet what some may consider an unrealistic standard, I really suggest you take some time to let this settle and fully appreciate how great your hair already looks. If you can reframe your thoughts around this so that instead of looking at your hair through the lens of "being on the lookout for imperfections and flaws" and instead start actively looking at all the things that are great about your hair, it might help you stop being so nit-picky. :)

Easier said than done, but honestly... You have incredible hair. Believe us. Lol.

I do think you're being very picky and looking for flaws that the average person is likely not going to notice.

In the end, it's your body so whatever you want to do is ok by me. In my opinion you could easily pause here for a few years and enjoy the great hair that you already have. I'm sure this is not what you want to hear though, so good luck on your future procedure. Please keep us posted on your results afterwards.

Aw, you guys are gonna make me blush. I may have been premature in calling this a "double" and not a home run. Still a lot of time to mature.

@pkipling You're right, and it's honestly only within the last couple of days that I've become comfortable to style my frontal hairline up without toppik/dermatch. It's thickening up nicely. I am too paranoid for my own good sometimes.

@JoeManI was/am gonna get the crown done regardless because we didn't touch it last time, but depending on the maturation we could end up doing less of a touch of than I initially planned on, depending on how it turns out. You are right, the average person isn't gonna look at my hair with a fine tooth comb like I do. It looks great, Dr. Ferreira did a fantastic job. The problem is definitely my unrealistic and absurd expectations, definitely something I need to put into perspective.

Alright dudes, 8 months. Not much change obviously as it's only been two weeks. The good news is that after discontinuing the dry shampoo for a couple of weeks I can already feel the hair around my crown/mid-scalp "coming back to life" so to speak and feeling thicker than before, so that's good. Dry shampoo is never going in my hair again.

The bad news is that the right side of my hairline is still quite a ways away from where I want it to be. I'm in a weird spot where, when wet and slicked back, it looks great, but once it dries and is styled it looks super thin and wispy. Still some months of improvement to go of course, and it's still quite a large improvement from where I was at at 6 months post-op, so hopefully I'm just a slow grower and the right side will continue to thicken up. Next set of pics are due to Dr. Ferreria at 9 months, so I'll be updating again then. Fingers crossed!

This is an absolute home run!!! The hair will thicken and mature up to 18months so your not at full development yet. Your def being way too picky if you don’t Think this is an epic result.

I would avoid spraying the dry shampoo in one spot and combing it through your hair! Just give it a light spray all over!

IMO this is a great result - there is still time for some improvement, where you might see some maturation and overall thickening - however for the graft number used to restore the loss you presented with, I think it’s a very successful surgery.

What you are experiencing with seeing slight sparsity in certain angles compared to others, are the limitations of a first pass transplant - remember it is an illusion, and at the most, you will have about 5/8 of the density in your new hairline compared to other areas of your head.

If it is that much of a concern, you could eventually go for a further pass to add more density into the areas of your ‘concern’, however given your age I wouldn’t advise that - you look very visually improved in my opinion already, like I say.

Are you following a medical regime?

edit - I’m presuming you are wanting to keep your anonymity given you have blurred some of your pictures, so you may want to remove your graft count picture, as it shows your name.

Seriously, this is great work. Brag worthy.

Nothing wrong with wanting better... we call that "hair greed", haha!

Fighting hair loss is a life long battle. If you want another procedure, plan for it. Give yourself some time though.

Sorry about the late update guys, I didn't forget about you all! It's now been 10 months (+10 days but who's counting, right?).

There's been some continued thickening on the right side, though not as much as I was hoping for. At this point, I'm pretty sure my original assessment of the surgery as a "double" in baseball terms was accurate. Could definitely be better in terms of density, but it could definitely be worse. I'm simultaneously happy with the overall procedure and my decision to get it, and also kinda a bit disappointed with the density up front. It is what it is though, and it's still and improvement without a doubt. A touch up/second pass should fill in the sparse areas up front.

I also stopped bothering to edit out my face, since I did a half assed job anyways. Hi, anyone who recognizes me 👋

That is an outstanding result. Really struggling to see how you think it could be improved to be honest. Density looks spot on to Me. It’s up there with the best  in terms of transplants I’ve seen.

Really? Am I the only one seeing this see-through scalp? I'm not saying it's a failure, but it could definitely be much better.

This is pretty much a homerun.

Yes, of course we see the scalp in these angles. What you have to do is calibrate yourself a little. Native hair density is much higher than can be accomplished with a single transplant. To get very high density and a perfect hairline you'll need more than one procedure. It's just a fact.

You have a great head of hair. If you want to chase perfection, you'll need to go back to Porto.

The scalp you can see in the pictures that you show concern over, can be seen in people who have never lost a hair in their lives, when photos are taken at these angles, in the same lighting and with the same hair length.

This is a really great result, and the best patient posted result that I have ever seen from this doctor.

I mean... You literally have one of the best heads of hair I've ever seen - and I live in Los Angeles surrounded by models. Lol.

I relate to being hypercritical and a bit of a perfectionist, but from the perspective of those of us on the outside looking in, there's no reason to be anything but over the moon about your results. They're that good, and yet it seems like you're very determined to find even the smallest "imperfection" and magnify it. There's not anything wrong with that per se, as I think most of us do that in our lives in some capacity, but it's something to be mindful of. It doesn't matter how many of us tell you how amazing your results are if you're hellbent on thinking otherwise.

Just like with anything in life, our perspective is everything - and if your perspective is based on a perfectionistic mindset "looking for what's wrong", you'll always find something. It's just how our brains operate.

I hope that helps in some capacity and doesn't come off as a criticism! :)

(And seriously - enjoy your hair!!! Haha)

Final result. Frankly, I am ultimately somewhat disappointed in how in this result has turned out. The hairline on the right side has not improved to where I wanted it to be, not even particularly close. When I apply hairspray, hair gel, and style the hair in a very specific manner, it looks *ok*. Without going through that very specific process of styling and holding at a very specific angle, it is extremely thin and see through to the point where I would not call it an aesthetically pleasing result. Compares to other people with similar levels of hairloss and received a similar number of grafts, I just don't feel like my result is up to par.

That is the kind of result I wanted, and frankly I don't have it. Disappointment.

Calling this an aesthetically unpleasing result is insanity.. and then comparing it to an erdogan case, if that guy posted higher res pics you would have seen how pluggy his hairline looks due to the multi grafts in the first two lines.. you are comparing a natural, well designed and well planned hair line from bruno ferreira to a hair mill, you have lost the plot mate.. your result is absolutely amazing in my opinion, the design, the naturalness of it, clearly it has added more volume and framed your face much more than pre op

and honestly for 1 surgery the density and hair you have is very good looking already, the area looks packed.

I think maybe you have unrealistic expectations. Your spreading the hair in unflattering ways in some of your photos and In certain lighting, all HTs are going to appear thin because as I’m sure you know - it’s only an illusion of density and will never be as dense as your original hair.

the asmed case you have posted has only posted a few pictures in favourable lighting so it’s hardly a comparison.

I think you have an excellent result there  dude and I don’t think you will find anyone on here who looks at ur photos and agrees with your verdict.
