Regular Member Davy773 Posted December 26, 2021 Regular Member Share Posted December 26, 2021 (edited) Any recommendations on hair transplant doctors? I'm 25 years old and want to rebuild my hairline. Ideally, I would like to pay no more than $5k, but I'm open to suggestions and opinions. Also, If I have to travel then I will - maybe to Turkey because of the price. I've heard good things about Cosmedica. By the way, I've been on Rogaine and 1mg Finasteride for just over a year now. I'm only now beginning to see results as my hair loss has slowed down. I'm very early in the research of who I want to go to. I'm hoping this post will help speed up my research process and narrow things down. Thanks! Edited December 26, 2021 by Davy773

You seem to have like a Norwood 1-1.5 hairline aka "perfect hairline"? I would not recommend doing a hairtransplant at this stage.
Regular Member Davy773 Posted December 26, 2021 Author Regular Member Share Posted December 26, 2021 @digi23 Thank you, that actually makes me feel a little better but it's still something I would like to move forward with. I've added a couple more photos that may show my receding hairline better.
Senior Member aaron1234 Posted December 26, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted December 26, 2021 Agree with @digi23, don't get a HT. Stay on fin and min, but don't ruin a perfectly good head of hair with a crappy transplant from Turkey. 2 Dr. G: 1,000 grafts (FUT) 2008 Dr. Paul Shapiro: 2,348 grafts (FUT) 2009 ~ 1,999 grafts (FUT) 2011 ~ 300 grafts (Scar Reduction) 2013 Dr. Konior: 771 grafts (FUT) 2015 ~ 558 grafts (FUT) 2017 ~ 1,124 grafts (FUE) 2020 My Hair Transplant Journey with Shapiro Medical Group
Senior Member ITA Posted December 26, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted December 26, 2021 Where did you hear about Cosmedica "good"? On Trustpilot, on Yelp, on Google or on their website? Look better!
Valued Contributor Gatsby Posted December 26, 2021 Valued Contributor Share Posted December 26, 2021 You have a mature hairline. All $5000 will do is destroy the 'natural' good looks you have and regret ever having surgery. 2 GATSBY 'UNPLUGGED!' 15,671 (3 surgeries) Grafts FUE+BHT Dr. Sethi Eugenix
Senior Member Mountinvan Posted December 26, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted December 26, 2021 (edited) You have an attractive hairline but there has been some thinning, and it obviously concerns you. Stay on meds and see how things progress over next year. if it still concerns you, try one of those products that add the illusion of fullness. If you are still not happy about the hair, then consult with one of the recommended docs on this site for professional advice. You may be a candidate down the road for a small FUE touch-up procedure to strengthen the hairline, but that is an option that should be thoroughly investigated because if not done well will cause you a lifetime of angst---there are many good US doctors recommended here that will give you honest, ethical feedback. Botton line----tread gently, and look at least invasive options first---medicine in HT is progressing and you have time on your side. Senior Member Future Hair Doc Posted December 26, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted December 26, 2021 You don't need a hair transplant. Talk to your doctor about switching to oral minoxidil.
