Hi all,

So its been 4 months since the transplant so thought about posting some updates of hair below. For starters, it seems my donor hair has mostly recovered from the shock loss and I can slowly see the darkening of my transplanted hairs. Hopefully I am on the right track.

It is perfect for 4 months. Hope you are taking finasteride regularly. Wish you a steady growth ahead!

The framing the outline gives and the growth to come should hopefully br amazing to see.

Donor areas looking much more improved from what it is. I think the crown will probably lag a bit more behind but hoping you see some great results there too over the next 8 months as you quickly get to the magic 12 month mark OP.

Looking solid for just 5 months. You have another 7 months to look ahead to see further improvements and hopefully notice those areas fill in with more density.

It's always a slow pace but things are heading in the right direction.

7 month Update (July)

My main concern is seeing the visible gaps especially in the hairline. Hoping that density will get better so that these gaps won't be visible anymore.

Considering you're under some fairly harsh bathroom lighting I'd say that looks pretty good - very soft and natural!

I expected the front to look fuller.

Are you on medication to preserve the previous hair you had? I have a feeling you're losing your native hair on the front and being left with only the transplant..

I am on finasteride 1mg everyday since even before the transplant and I also take minoxidil. Also taking multivitamins on top of it

So you are not satisfied with the density in the hairline, because you saying it has gaps making it look see-through? The graft placement was dense in the hairline after procedure though..so it should look more dense but it can still be improved the next months. Keep us updated.

Why such high number of grafts for this area?

Not sure what you mean? by area - are you referring to the whole transplant or just the front hairline? I have posted a graft breakdown for each area in my first post in this thread.

8 month Update (Aug)

While there has definitely been some thickening of the hairs vs the 7 month, I am still pretty worried about the sparseness in my hairline especially the center of the hairline. It looks much worse and sparser when I do a combover (left and right). As for the crown, I believe transplanted hair grows more slowly here compared to front based on what I heard from the forum...hopefully it will pick up the pace as well.

I reached out to the clinic for advice and they told me to wait for the complete growth which will come in 10 to 12 months.

I am also still on Finasteride 1mg, minoxidil, and multivitamins every day.
