Regular Member Ben123 Posted December 13, 2021 Regular Member Share Posted December 13, 2021 (edited) Posting my 2nd crown transplant I had 6 days ago so far looking great and healing well. Very happy with Dr.Hasson and how he puts his patients best interest first over his clinic! Originally was planned for 4000 grafts 2k for crown 2k for midscalp, after examining my midscalp closely and my donor area Dr.Hasson recommended we focus on the crown only because my mid scalp is still full of hair but just miniaturized making it look thin and it would be better to save donor for future in case I'll need it and recommends to switch from oral finasteride to topical which might help the midscalp a bit more. On the first day after while coming in for a hair wash I wanted to talk with Dr.Hasson about my 1st transplant results which I was super happy with my left side and slightly less but still happy with the right side and asked if its possible to add a minor amount of grafts while I'm already there. Even though he was super busy he said no problem and squeezed me in for a quick 65 grafts to fill in the tiny gaps on the right side. 5 days post op Edited December 13, 2021 by Ben123

Regular Member Ben123 Posted February 9, 2022 Author Regular Member Share Posted February 9, 2022 2 months update seems like the redness will take a few months to go away like my first transplant, any suggestions on how to make that process faster? Midscalp is getting a bit better but still kinda weak and see through in certain angle and strong light, going to let it grow out for a few more months and hope it'll have full coverage even under harsh light and same angle if not might end up having more hair greed and possible 3rd procedure for midscalp hoping that won't be needed.

Administrators Melvin- Admin Posted February 9, 2022 Administrators Share Posted February 9, 2022 The hairline and midscalp recovered quickly, to be expected the crown is taking longer. Thanks for keeping us updated. I hear a lot the crown takes longer to recover and get growth compared to the front areas. Why is it expected? Why is it expected? I believe it has to do with lower blood flow but someone correct me if I'm wrong. Thought I read this somewhere.

Regular Member Ben123 Posted April 13, 2022 Author Regular Member Share Posted April 13, 2022 (edited) After years of not using any products in my hair tried to play a bit with some old product to see how it'll look and pretty happy with it! Also adding another crown update which seems to me that in mere 4 days the crown improved a little bit from my last crown update these from the better camera which looks more natural will start updating with it from now on (everything will be reverse side) Edited April 13, 2022 by Ben123
Regular Member m.m Posted April 13, 2022 Regular Member Share Posted April 13, 2022 Looking good. You could easily rock your hair the way it is now in public, maybe even add some topik in the crown and you’re good to go. At this point your operation seems like a huge success.

Staying away from topik going to let my crown breath and grow, going to try growing it long enough for a slickback hairstyle. Hopefully in the next two months the crown will improve enough to cover most of it
