  1. This looks to be an improvement, thanks for documenting!
  2. It looks good, especially when long. Im left wondering how the FUE scars look though. Would you consider shaving it down?
  3. Nordster34, I truly appreciate the time you've taken to post your experience at H&W. I was thinking about going for a procedure there, but i'm honestly reconsidering just because of the way you say you've been treated. Obviously, we should wait till the 12-18 month mark to truly have an opinion, but there are just some things that shouldn't be looked over at this point. A few take aways: - The doctor should have been in the room talking to you after the procedure. Totally unacceptable IMO - The clinic and doctor should be on the same page about the amount of grafts you were given. It's a shame that he didn't have the correct information about how many grafts you were given (also you didn't mention if he looked at your donor during the follow up consultation), and for him to suggest more grafts are possible without really analyzing your scalp is a bit lazy IMO. - 2 weeks after the follow-up and neither the clinic or doctor have reached out with your graft count? It really does sound like he just took your call to calm your nerves more than anything. ------- I hope that you get an awesome result and I honestly hope that H&W's loose patient after-care is somehow justified. I totally understand why you would feel taken advantage of. Let's hope this all works out and you get the answers you're looking for. Just throwing this out there for anyone who might have a definitive answer; If the 12 month mark passes and the patient is not satisfied with the result, does the clinic offer touch-ups for free? Considering the neglect that has already seemingly taken place, it's understandable that a distraught patient would want some sort of reimbursement or care considering the final result might not be adequate. IMO, just for that reason alone, I would want my doctor to communicate with me step-by-step throughout the journey. It would suck to be neglected DURING and after the procedure just to end up going back to the same surgeon pleading for them to make it right only for them to ask for proof that the patient took the right steps to ensure optimal hair-growth post-transplant. This whole situation seems kind of sketchy. The doctor seems to be banking on the idea that the procedure was done so good that a follow-up procedure won't even be needed in the next 10+ years - and by then maybe he'll be retired...who knows. High prices for HT are one thing, but neglecting a patient after the procedure is just unethical in my book.
  4. Hope the journey is going well. Looking forward to an update

    Nanoxidil???

Yes. I’ve been on Minoxidil since 2013. Although it’s been on and off. Before I tried nanoxidil, minoxidil was my go-to medication for HL. I just feel that nanoxidil(in combination with the other ingredients inside spectral DNC) made a bigger difference in changing my hair than minoxidil alone. That is why I’m trying DS lab’s newer potion Spectral CBD - it might work better than the other nanoxidil formula for me. Time will tell
  6. This is an older post but I was looking around for other people who have tried nanoxidil and it seems there are very few. I’ll share my own experience, but I want to make it clear that I don’t have any concrete evidence that suggests nanoxidil is a viable alternative to minoxidil. What I do know is that they have a VERY similar chemical make-up and nanoxidil is supposedly better at permeating your scalp. With that being said, the studies DS labs references in their advertisements for nanoxidil involve women test subjects and therefore this might mean nanoxidil could not be effective for men. I used nanoxidil from 2014-2016. The first year I used it religiously twice a day. Second year was more like once every other day. What I experienced was thicker, stronger hair, virtually no hair shedding, and absolutely no side effects. I was using minoxidil prior to nanoxidil, and my personal experience was that nanoxidil was more effective. I can’t speak to the effect of nanoxidil in depth because there are not enough resources to confirm if it works like minoxidil , but DS labs puts several other ingredients into their topicals which may act like hair stimulants on top of the supposed effect of nanoxidil - that may be the reason I experienced fuller hair during my previous stint with nanoxidil. If you’re curious, I suggest you buy a bottle. It doesn’t take long before you start seeing changes in your hair based on my experience.

    Nanoxidil???

I’ve used nanoxidil in the past. Currently reintegrating it into my regime. My advice to you is to try it. The effects it has on your hair are noticeable very quickly. It makes your hair feel stronger and look thicker. I should mention that there are a number of ingredients that could act as a hair stimulant besides just nanoxidil. DS labs has a formula out now with CBD oil in it along with caffeine and some other ingredients - those could work on your hair regardless of if nanoxidil is really effective. However, as of this time, I cannot reference a study that shows the effectiveness of nanoxidil, or if it’s even equivalent to minoxidil, but I have anecdotal evidence. That’s what I’m sharing with you. I think it works because I’ve tried it before and I noticed my hair growing stronger and thicker. I had fine hairs in my hairline grow to be thick over a period of 6 months, and my hair felt like bristles on a brush because of how dense and full it got. I would definitely give it a try. I’m currently using spectral CBD and am noticing changes to my hair almost immediately after application. With time, my hair will improve like last time. The only reason I stopped is because I ran out and got lazy - my hair was at a point where I didn’t feel like I needed to apply topicals anymore so I became complacent , but now I’m back on it after 6 years
  8. I had my prescription faxed to Macdonald's pharmacy by Dr. Wong's office last September and was told it would be an extended waiting time. Still have not heard from them. However, regarding Xyon, since it's the same formula as the one Macdonald's formulates for H&W, it seems like the go-to option in terms of accessibility. I just filled out my forms and am waiting to hear back from Xyon. I'm curious about the prescription fee as well - $100 a month for 12 months seems strange to me. Not really liking the fact that I would be locked into paying 12 months worth of medicine upfront, or month-to-month consecutively. Idk, I just like having the ability to stop paying for medication instead of being contractually obligated to continue making payments until the prescription ends after 12 or however many months. Can someone please explain this to me?
  9. Looking good. You could easily rock your hair the way it is now in public, maybe even add some topik in the crown and you’re good to go. At this point your operation seems like a huge success.
