Imo his a fantastic skilled doctor that's vastly over priced. Can get doctors just as skilled if not more skilled for a fraction of the cost

Such as who?

I had my consultation with Dr Reddy, a few weeks ago.

Really don't know who to go with. It wasn't anywhere as indepth as a consultation as Dr Bisanga but I got good vibes from him and he appears confident that he can help me.

Decisions, decisions...

Hi Did you fly to Belgium for your consultation with Bisanga? I understand he does in person.

Yes I did. I thought it was a very cold/strange experience. The staff were extremely quiet. Dr Bisange cut parts of my hair (which is fine) to check density I guess, but didn't tell me he was going to, he just pulled out the scissors.

Even after I paid the other doctor didn't say a word until I turned around to walk out when he said thank you.

I'm sure he's great and maybe it's a sign they are very focussed, but I got the feeling I was inconveniencing them to be there. I prefer warmer/more friendly people.

That is just my impression and I'm sure other people had different experiences. In fact the guy who went in before me actually returned to have his surgery and it looks great. He's on this forum.

Id avoid him - had my first transplant with him and was thoroughly dissatisfied (esp considering he charges per hair rather than per graft) - go Turkey and save yourself a lot of worry

Bloody hell, what happened?

Used too little number of grafts so that the transplanted region looked very "see through", charged me "per hair" rather than per graft, and gave me a hairline I was thoroughly dissatisfied with. Was really really unhappy.

Gosh, that's not good. Do you have photos on this forum? What did he charge you?

Charging per hair is a bit of a concern. I don't see what difference it makes when a surgeon transplants a follicle with 1 hair or 4 hairs. Surely it is the same amount of work?

I was seriously considering him, so I enquired as to what his minimum fee would be, and the response I got was a bit of a red flag in my honest opinion. His website states that the cost starts at £5K, but the person who responded to my enquiry said the cost starts at £6K. When I questioned this, I was told that the information on his website was "generally speaking"

His website states:

"Once you qualify for the 3G FUE procedure, and we agree on expectations, there is no doubt that you would be pleased with the result. On that note, yes I do offer a safety net for my procedures."

Have you reverted back to him, and said that you are not happy?

Yeah, I did actually...I had another "topping up" session where he added a further 200 new hairs. Made no difference at all. Another thing is that he refused to bulk up the areas directly behind the hairline either, and flat out refused to do the temple regions which I really needed. Finally, after obsessing with my hair for a further year I had enough and went to Asmed in Istanbul. The results he gave were more to my expectations. Ive added The Reddy pics below so you can see what issues I was having.

That all sounds very concerning. I believe that he was on this forum's recommended list, and then removed I understand, rightly or wrongly.

He was actually my first choice, but I'm going to exercise caution now.

He was not removed. He left when he opened up his new practice, as he didn’t have the time to post on the forum. I believe he’s one of the best in the UK. There are unhappy patients with every surgeon. This patient went to Dr. Erdogan who has many dissatisfied patients on this forum. But he had a good result. There’s no perfect surgeon. You need to look at their overall body of work.

There is no perfect. But there is bad surgeon, mediocre surgeon and elite surgeon. And there is legendary surgeon 😅

Right now Dr. Z is the legendary one.

Slightly off topic, I notice the area behind the front hairline to be problematic for a lot of people.

A big reason is the frontal area tends to be packed denser but there’s obviously more to it as it’s not always the case.

!00%, and you'll only realise this after your first procedure. A good surgeon will raise this with you at the first meeting. I had to get that addressed with Asmed later on. He has a reputation of over estimating but in hindsight id rather have my grafts over estimated than under estimated.

This certainly doesn't look like the other review photographs from Dr Reddy that I saw beforehand :/ Thanks for sharing. Do you have any updated photos since the repair?

I hope mind turns out well. It's been 2 months so far. A little concerned about density but I guess I need to wait at least another 6 months.
