I apologize if I've missed this up. I didn't realize these pictures would be posted up on the forum. But while I'm here, I would really appreciate an opinion on my state of hair loss. I'm 26 years old, and I only recently noticed the state of my hair. I have always been thick, and now, it feels thinner, more spread out.

Anything at all would help. I think I'm going to go visit a dermatologist

You're only option right now is to get on finasteride and try minoxidal. You can get a prescription from your doc for the fin (try proscar is you want to save money--it's the generic version which costs less, but you will have to split it into fours). I would say you are not a HT candidate right now. best of luck!

Yep, I agree. Your hair looks awesome and will likely stay this way for quite some time. I would enjoy what you have; live it the F up. And get on fin so you can sleep well at night.

The sexual sides are very unlikely, but if they come they come. Regardless, they are reversable with discontinuation of usage; so you can either just stop on the dime, or give your body a couple weeks to acclimate, which can result in the sides either diminishing or disappearing altogether. Seriously, don't worry about that, though, since they are truly rare and it's a simple decision to deal with if it happens to arise.

What hairloss. Your hair looks great man. Thick and healthy. Fin is the way to go if your hairloss worries are real. Getting on them early can only be a good thing. But your hair looks great to me!

IrishAndroid,

Welcome to our community.

It looks like you still have a great head of hair. I agree that getting on finasteride and minoxidil is the best course of action for you at this point. They are typically pretty good at slowing down or stopping the progression of baldness and can even thicken and strengthen miniaturizing hairs.

Since all medication comes with the possibility of side effects, be sure to talk to your doctor about these drugs and then decide if they're right for you.

All the Best,

Bill

To everyone, really -- thank you. Like RajToor said, I hit the panic button and freaked out. After all this, I feel a little dumb for showing up and speaking to people with *real* problems. In any case, yeah, I'm gonna go with the Fin eventually, keep my piece of mind.

Great community, here. You guys are the coolest.
