looks like significant shock loss in the left side donor area in one of the pics. I assume this is also on the right side as well, but I could be wrong as I myself only experienced shock loss on one donor side.

I had shock loss recovery by month 2 or so.

are you putting Rogaine on that area? it helps speed up shock loss recovery.

This looks similar to where I was at 4 months if u go back and look at my 4 month update doesn’t it?  I kind of just let it grow from that point and it really started picking up month 5-6 and continued from there.  I had a very similar donor issue and it’s still a little thinner at 8 months on the side like yours but when I grow out to a 4-6 guard now it’s not noticeable so I think your will also recover.  It’s coming along nicely tho and u should have some nice gains coming soon!

I just checked and your right on! Very similar to your 4 month photos. Appreciate the encouragement!

I’ll see how everything looks at 6 months and e-mail SMG about it. I’m hopeful that it is shock and will recover. My hair was considerably thinner behind my ears before the surgery so hopefully it wasn’t over harvested.

Hey guys!

Just a few days shy of a 6 month update. Had some time today to snap some photos with hair grown out. Had some definite improvement since my last update! I have some photos in natural lighting and under bathroom lights. Right now the left side of my hair line is significantly stronger and more dense than the right. I’ve always heard Melvin say slow and steady wind the race. Hopefully more to come over the next 6 months!5410A757-B545-45D7-BF27-B51CF7880080.thumb.jpeg.b101386024274cc05d95bd92bb818173.jpegF408778B-281F-48CF-B249-A54E840F5E05.thumb.jpeg.4018f984e632323b648452d10b71c0dd.jpegE879F0A1-5781-471D-BF92-83EE6815582A.thumb.jpeg.d3bfbb6ab91e08fb694dea7c1f1be8cb.jpegF0FE1875-3E7E-4828-AE09-885E10E0C339.thumb.jpeg.840ad0f87b89ea81f0850fd9184e9654.jpeg2CC15FCB-15E2-47E4-A47A-C6B94191CCBD.thumb.jpeg.428456e1ac5929ce16166f23d8c56f0d.jpeg6D7DE0E1-54CC-44A7-84CD-F4816DA580B8.thumb.jpeg.d3b42df29adcd7bb306d412a97847ee0.jpeg708016AB-824F-4883-904C-9D727C9B374E.thumb.jpeg.98bb979758caf6e6a4994f308c1fb0ec.jpeg96DFC862-5BCA-4C41-8A64-A9EEDC3EE224.thumb.jpeg.41ba38cfb60273aa51f097e3577085f0.jpegF0FA3C86-53BF-4C9D-8F8D-44C0960CCD35.thumb.jpeg.7c70353d14eb9116d2a65f32bb4b72a9.jpeg29212701-BCF5-4B31-8120-7DE818136CC6.thumb.jpeg.52b5bd4bd989277633883cb3bc02dd50.jpeg214634D7-605D-4E94-A0AD-85995E6304EF.thumb.jpeg.978521dcb6b6d8cc04b6f4d6292c0122.jpeg

Hi Style22,

Thanks for sharing your story!

It looks your result is taking more time but you have to be patient and let´s see how that looks at 12 months.

One thing, the last three photos are really different from the other ones... how do you see yourself, more towards the first photos or the last 3 ones?

Best of luck and will be following! 😉

Appreciate it. That’s a great question. Amazing how much lighting effects the way things look. Wanted to try and show that in the pics. As far as how I see myself, it is probably in the middle between the pics. I definitely need more growth in some area’s to be able to achieve that illusion of density and call it a good result 👍

Doing well 👍. I’ll be at 7 months and update on the 11th. Real happy with the donor improvement. Haven’t noticed any improvements in recipient since my last update.

I have improved and happy at this point in process but I’m not ready to say it was a home run by any stretch.  YET. I absolutely love the naturalness. Have not had a single person ask if I have had anything done. But I’d say there is no way 90% or so of the 2700 grafts have grown in. I’ve still got time for improvement though!

Hey guys here is just over 7 month update. I switched to Dr. Hasson’s topical fin from Strut’s do to side effect issues. I know switching like that can cause sheds but I’m hopeful this helps. So far so good actually. As far as the transplant I haven’t noticed any improvement from 6 months yet. C8FF2883-479F-4AA5-80B4-94ECA7979F99.thumb.jpeg.111ddcef388730f7eb19d3e07b7cd753.jpegB7933AEE-6142-4425-9122-E6DA2394A990.thumb.jpeg.770af0826b93c4d9c9c9461a7c6721cb.jpeg66E3A74A-3606-4032-915A-FF99BC2B6438.thumb.jpeg.cb19808ef812af22870416de6297f64a.jpeg50F5D02A-263E-4373-879D-3A382F6573CC.thumb.jpeg.3072cc467ce61427c27c2a88584b72a1.jpeg63149829-8465-4708-BD8D-F85F3D988846.thumb.jpeg.05f60d2ab67d125385a5c7c331df13a9.jpeg9580187C-B708-4398-838C-6FB805F940EC.thumb.jpeg.cf847123d12ec492bc4e30c72aa4dbcd.jpeg208B6112-3732-4E68-AF2C-7CEBB025FC8F.thumb.jpeg.64985793ddb6f7a4e83d44415de440a1.jpeg

Have you considered growing your hair a bit longer? I do think there’s a sweet spot for hair length.

Yes. It’s about an inch right now. I’ll let it keep growing and see if that helps! One slightly funny note is that the front third is now growing significantly faster and longer than my crappy miniaturizing hair in back half. So I may have to get a little creative ha. Trying to hold on to it as long as I can!

Wanted to give everyone a 9 month update.  I definitely believe I have had some maturing of the hair which has helped the result fill in. The right side of the hairline is still significantly thinner than the left I’d say. Overall I can say at this point that I am happy with the result! Not ready to call it a home run. Still have some time to call it a home run though! We will see. But there has been significant improvement in my opinion in my look head on at 9 months. Naturalness is on point imo. 0E8B446C-E307-485A-9A7E-D72E206591B9.thumb.jpeg.e4d69f69fc6c6ee609ab9ea45f912dc3.jpegB4F7608B-84A2-4C74-B906-707893F780F9.thumb.jpeg.a6970a6aaa49d53ee8dcd5931f3ab1c6.jpeg695A44B3-68F8-48F2-8804-BB10FCCF6539.thumb.jpeg.9a2e05c943848fceec6964b4e7953a01.jpeg8A3358EA-2DCA-4CE5-BADA-ED2AEA6D38CF.thumb.jpeg.e6434072b02876f6a9a4c3c983de4a5e.jpeg16F7CDD4-B4C7-4CB2-958D-2AF09AEB2C29.thumb.jpeg.5a1360f63d34cbb4ca61503eeb79858c.jpeg63786AC3-F20E-45C6-B85C-ABF679D89904.thumb.jpeg.401e11fffd9f8d5fbd43389899e34c9f.jpegBE7EEA46-C88D-41A6-BC91-50EE8446029B.thumb.jpeg.f62957483d2d43fa1277ed623ad21a65.jpeg72847C54-A878-47D4-9BBB-0B192075932A.thumb.jpeg.b799ee12e7cce232ae8149fca14dc5c3.jpeg2B1CD05D-9511-4FE2-95ED-AB216D4E75F4.thumb.jpeg.f1aebfec2f1d98598882a31b7d95c6bc.jpeg

Definite improvement. You're one of those cases that slowly improves each month, I could definitely see you fully growing by 18 months. I feel i'm on the same track on my last HT
