Senior Member hairlosscpa Posted August 5, 2021 Author Senior Member Share Posted August 5, 2021 Tomorrow is my 2nd session of SMP. I'll make sure to share pics. I always look at the two pics attached to keep my expectations in check and make sure I remain grateful to where I am. Regular Member Pephair Posted August 6, 2021 Regular Member Share Posted August 6, 2021 @hairlosscpaWhen doing the second, third, etc sessions, does the SMP have to be exactly on top of the previous pigments? They do not overlap...bigger the dot, the less natural it looks. 1 1st Procedure, Oct. 2012 - 1,704 grafts FUT w/Dr. True 2nd Procedure, Sept. 2015 - 2500 grafts FUE w/Dr. Vories FUE Progress - http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/180966-my-experience-w-dr-vories-2-500-grafts.html FUE 1 year result - http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/184716-1-year-results-2-500-grafts-w-dr-vories.html

I know you mentioned a 3rd, but doesn’t look like you need it ? Thanks! I'm going to give it a month before considering a 3rd session. There are still areas where I'm like oh I wish a little was sprinkled there, or a tiny bit here, haha. But they recommended I give it time for the work to heal...overall I'm very happy. 1st Procedure, Oct. 2012 - 1,704 grafts FUT w/Dr. True 2nd Procedure, Sept. 2015 - 2500 grafts FUE w/Dr. Vories FUE Progress - http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/180966-my-experience-w-dr-vories-2-500-grafts.html FUE 1 year result - http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/184716-1-year-results-2-500-grafts-w-dr-vories.html

Senior Member giegnosiganoe Posted August 9, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted August 9, 2021 Finally, we have a proper before/after example of SMP in the donor! What number are your back and sides cut down to in the pics? Do you know if it look better/worse if you cut them even shorter? Not gonna lie, I can make out the dots, and am curious how it would look outside in natural daytime lighting. Can you share some more pics in a week or two once it "settles" as you say? If you get as unnaturally close to his head as those closeup pics and know what to look for, its probably not possible to completely hide it. Along with blending or course, the consistency of the coverage and at least a healthy personal distance from viewers are the keys to complete the process of tricking brain/eye pattern and anomaly detection.

I plan on getting my sides shorter in my next haircut in a week. Sides are probably close to a 4 guard right now. Yeah I can make out the dots too but hopefully it blends better in shorter hair or hoping the untrained eye doesn't notice. I do mistaken them for hair follicles sometimes and get excited it's my real hair coming back lol. Attached is latest pics 3 days after. Trying to be transparent here..same lighting etc. It's not a perfect solution by any means but I'm still happy with the outcome. I decided I will go for a 3rd session to even out some areas. Left side is before anything and right is current. All in harsh bathroom lighting fyi. Regular Member Myloloves Posted August 10, 2021 Regular Member Share Posted August 10, 2021 Amazing job from your surgeons! Definitely would like to know how long it will last and how will it look grown out? Does it fill in area to prevent a density loss visible outline? Will the patient need to keep his hair dark? What if it becomes grey or he bleaches it and so forth or dyes the hair? Just want to know the advantages to this.
