Regular Member Neurd Posted April 25, 2021 Regular Member Share Posted April 25, 2021 I'm a Norwood 6 with an ample donor area > 8000 units available. I'm looking to get 1 or 2 megasessions (preferably FUE) of >3500 each. I know Dr. Konior is highly recommended, but his prices are just way too step (saw they were about $12 per unit). Dr. Nadimi has more reasonable prices but I heard she does not do megasessions. So I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for another surgeon in Chicago area that can do FUE megasessions? Senior Member Future Hair Doc Posted April 25, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted April 25, 2021 (edited) @Dr. Vladimir Paninedoes FUE mega sessions and his consults are free. He's an elite coalition surgeon, has been putting out amazing work for 25+ years, is board certified in dermatology, and did his surgery training at Stanford. I think he does virtual consults too. If you consult with him, tell him I said hi. Are you in Chicago? Man, I miss Chicago. Senior Member champybaby Posted April 26, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted April 26, 2021 (edited) I share this kindly, but you're going about this the wrong way. I'm assuming you're hoping to get results. In the grand scheme of things, the money you save and the delay in having your procedure mean nothing. Edited May 1, 2021 by champybaby 1 FUT procedure w/ Dr. K (2012) Second FUT, Dr. K, Nov. 2020 (mini update) Third procedure, FUE, Dr. K, 03/21, 400 beard to scar (latest update)
Senior Member Gasthoerer Posted April 26, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted April 26, 2021 My recommendation would be present your case in here. Then we can recommend clinics. Focusing on Chicago, FUE and also Cost optimization is probably not the right path. One step at a time. Maybe FUT is the way to go. 2 400+ grafts in 2018 and 2900 grafts in 2020 via FUE with Feriduni
Administrators Melvin- Admin Posted April 26, 2021 Administrators Share Posted April 26, 2021 Dr. Panine is another option, as is Dr. Nadimi. For huge megasessions, you’d probably want to consider hasson and wong. 2 I’m a paid admin for Hair Transplant Network. I do not receive any compensation from any clinic. TBH, I don't think I've seen a single good Panine result. At least not one I'd be happy with. Whether you’d be happy is subjective, but I respectfully disagree. I’ve seen some excellent results, particularly this result with only 700 grafts to the crown. The difference is pretty jarring for such a small number. I’m a paid admin for Hair Transplant Network. I see you’ve had three procedures with Dr. Konior so I can understand your exuberant comments but I kindly note that you don’t have to step on others to highlight Dr. Konior’s amazing skills which have given rise to his patient’s fantastic results. Good results deserve recognition. Poor results demand accountability. That is why we are all on this forum. When you said, “TBH, I don't think I've seen a single good Panine result. At least not one I'd be happy with.” I absolutely welcome your criticism but the second part of your comment demeans the views of my patients on this forum that have posted their own results and are happy with their results. These are patients that I’ve seen transformed with confidence that gives them a new life. Just like you are very protective of Dr. Konior….I’m very protective of my patients. I’ve read through your profile to try to bring some context to your statement and we agree on more than we would disagree about. You seem very knowledgeable about how personal a hair transplant is and how it may just be one of the biggest decisions of your life. Earlier this week you said on the forum, “If the person feels good about how they look, then that's all that matters, right?”. I have to believe you didn’t intend to dismiss the feelings of the very people who have had the courage to share their experiences and were excited with their results. It is for my patients who have shared their experiences on this forum that I bring it to your attention. Again, I’m sure you didn’t intend it to be taken that way by those who, just like you, are very happy with their results. I’ve taken the time to pull a few of them and posted the links below. Regular Member BADB-BROS Posted June 13, 2021 Regular Member Share Posted June 13, 2021 On 10/16/2018 at 12:46 PM, BADB-BROS said: I am 24 years old, and have been thinning from the age of 20. I have done countless hours of research and have tried every known remedy to man (natural and unnatural) to slow down my hair loss: (LLLT, Minoxidil, Finasteride, Saw Palmetto, Biotin, Hair/Skin/Nails pills, Omega 3's, DHT blocking Shampoos, Dermal Rolling, Diet changes, Snake oil products and all sorts of other oils.) Of course when nothing worked, similar to many men before me, I looked into surgery as an option and spent countless hours researching Dr.'s looking for FUE/Strip, scars, hairline, density, and the most natural looking results. I narrowed it down to three surgeons: I've met Dr. Katona (Restore), Dr. Keller (North Shore Hair Translplant), and finally Dr. Panine with Chicago Hair Transplant Clinic. Each gave me a consultation regarding my situation and explained what I could come to expect. Considering my line of work as a Nurse, I know my Dr. "types." I can tell when a surgeon is all marketing gimmicks or treats their patients like a conveyor belt, and charges more for less results (Restore). Or whether their living in the past, not up to date on more modern/advanced procedures, biased in opinion, stubborn on their own methods (Dr. Keller). Or if they are actually open to their patients INDIVIDUAL situations, goals, and presented with the best options to accomplish them. Dr. Panine was the obvious choice. The choice was as simple as his decades of experience, track record of great results, willingness to update his approach with the times, his Individualistic nature towards his patients, willingness to answer any questions you have, his price point, and of course his artistic ability (which is a HUGE factor that many surgeons lack). I can't explain how happy I am that I made that decision because it's safe to say that surgery was a breeze, his surgical assistants were cute, and I was kept comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire procedure, and there is virtually no scarring. I'm so thankful to Stuart for his support and communication, as he was my go to man when I needed anything or any information regarding pre and post op expectations, and when to come in for followups. But most importantly the thing we are all eagerly looking to get out of our hair transplants... RESULTS. And Dr. Panine Delivered! I'll let the pictures speak for themselves: Pre Op Post Op 7months Post Op Outdoor Lighting Indoor Lighting And stay tuned for my 1 year Post Op results!
