Senior Member MachoVato Posted December 19, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted December 19, 2020 Take a look at this video, 4:39 - 4:55 For some reason I thought incisions were made with more care than this. At least in the crown area, shouldn't there be more spiral directions? My procedure was done with stick and place technique, so that's different. But this looks crazy fast and kinda "anywhere is fine" approach. 1 HLC Ankara | 4261 Grafts | Nov 7, 2020 (Hairline) Dr. Bisanga, BHR Clinic in Brussels | 1528 Grafts | Aug 12, 2021 (Crown and Temples)
Senior Member deitel130 Posted December 19, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted December 19, 2020 This does seem a bit too quick. I wonder if he had native hair in crown.
Senior Member ciaus Posted December 19, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted December 19, 2020 I agree. During my procedures I didn't pay much attention when the doc was making the incisions, and they numb you of course, so can't recall if there was that kind of rapid fire rate. But then when you think about it, doing that movement again and again thousands of times on each patient it has to become almost instinctual. Senior Member baldiee Posted December 20, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted December 20, 2020 No I could definitely tell my surgeon was making precise incisions on my scalp, not at this rapid fire rate.

For docs who give a shit, yes. Here's a video of the great Dr. Ron Shapiro making hairline incisions, around the 1:45 mark. DrTBarghouthi
It should never be that fast, especially in the crown or hairline. Otherwise you lose the depth and direction perception. My other comment is there is no magnification (only headlamp) being used while making incisions, which I find quite hard to imagine working without and seeing spaces correctly. 1 Dr. Taleb Barghouthi approved and recommended on the Hair Transplant Network. DrTBarghouthi
Well it varies. You can have bad directions to start with. Also some survival is affected by shallow or deeper incisions. You can also have pitting of the recipient area. Some causes of necrosis can be also due to negligent site making. Dr. Taleb Barghouthi approved and recommended on the Hair Transplant Network. Senior Member MachoVato Posted December 20, 2020 Author Senior Member Share Posted December 20, 2020 Looking at the clinic's site... "We provide a lifetime guarantee certificate after the operations. The statistical success rate of each and every operation is 98%." And they offer something called "Soft FUE". What's that?
