A conservative approach was taken and we worked in and among native hair and this surgery was done over 2 consecutive days. The patient came back recently to address some thinning in the crown and hence we were able to see the results of the 2013 surgery, some seven yeas later. We often see results shown at 12 or 18 months, but much less common, results that are presented over a longer time frame, hence why we wanted to share this patient´s result, 7 years after his original surgery. In 2013, it was very unusual to perform a case of 2500 grafts over a single day, and so to schedule over two days was protocol back then throughout the industry. The patient agreed to two shorter surgical days, and as you can see, his results look great. The extractions were spread over a larger surface area as the patient had some weaker areas of his donor. The patient experienced loss due to male pattern baldness as opposed to any loss caused by an autoimmune issue/disease. Hair loss is rarely symmetrical and it is very common to have one side/area more aggressive than the other.
