Hi Folks

Am a newbie and am keen on an HT after many years of hesitation. Came across HRN's excellent site and have got so much from it in terms of info.

Farjo seems to be mentioned lots on here with generally good comments so I started delving deeper. Obviously he has an amazing list of celebs who have used the clinic.

However yesterday I came across this

Which has a lot of bad content on Farjo.

am a bit unsettled now - could be simply a nut job with an agenda or a genuine patient who had a poor experience...anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks

I've never been impressed by Farjo. Certainly, by UK standards he is acceptable, but not in the same league as the 2 elite HT surgeons in the UK (Dr. Ball, Dr. Reddy), and not even on the same planet as the best ones charging the same price. He can not produce high density HTs and I've seen a couple of bad results and almost no outstanding ones. I have this theory that what truly shows how skilled a surgeon is are the results they get from female HTs and one of his results in that department, actually featured on his website is just unnatural and sub-standard imo.

Yea Dr Arshad definitely worth checking out - the patient threads of his floating about the forums at the moment are impressive, and he's pretty reasonably priced.

Dr Reddy and Dr Ball put out good work, but with regards to their prices, if you can afford them, their results don't justify choosing them over any of the Elites in Europe (which are considerably cheaper) or flying over to the US/Canada and seeing Konior or H&W etc.

I'm from the UK and would only recommend getting surgery there if you can't/don't want to travel,

I flew from London to New York for my HT 8 years ago...next time around I will go to either H&W or Hattingen. The UK seems to have a much better doctors now but the cost is the same as going to an elite surgeon elsewhere, which makes it a no brainer for me to once again not consider the UK.

I saw an excellent Farjo case on an older gentleman recently but that seems the only WOW result I can recall. To me that generally seems his best type of patient - older and with reduced expectations.

2,000 grafts FUT Dr. Feller, July 27th 2012. 23 years old at the time. Excellent result. Need crown sorted eventually but concealer works well for now.

Propecia and minoxidil since 2010. Fine for 8 years - bad sides after switching to Aindeem in 2018.

Switched to topical fin/minox combo from Minoxidil Max in October 2020, along with dermarolling 1x a week.

Wrote a book for newbies called Beating Hair Loss, available on Amazon

We along with the  Maitland clinic  and Dr Reddy were falsely maligned on FB as well as a few individuals involved in the hair industry.

Whilst i am fairly sure who did this, trying to get it removed is another matter.

Thanks a lot all for the helpful input..so I guess looking further afield may be a good idea, although must say Farjo was looking good up until that point for me, may still choose him.

No matter who it is you lean towards, it's always good to look around and consider others based on results and patient reviews.

I see that there’s quite a few of those “the truth” fb pages. They have ones Joe Tillman, Spencer Kobren, etc. It’s pretty clear they’re troll pages created by the same person. Regardless, best of luck to you whomever you choose.
