Senior Member MachoVato Posted November 16, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted November 16, 2020 (edited) I thought it would be cool to see my grafts under magnification. And I'm properly grossed out. Ugh. Not sure of the magnification, the microscope goes up to 1000X but the software doesn't give me details. Here are two of my recipient area. You can see some scabs still in tact (today is Day 8 of my procedure). And here are a few of my donor area. I'm pretty impressed with the healing at this point. It's still sore to the touch, but clearly it's healing very quickly. Senior Member TommyLucchese Posted November 16, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted November 16, 2020 Some things are best left unseen I think. Thank god I didn't see a strip harvesting until years after I'd been through it... 2,000 grafts FUT Dr. Feller, July 27th 2012. 23 years old at the time. Excellent result. Need crown sorted eventually but concealer works well for now. Propecia and minoxidil since 2010. Fine for 8 years - bad sides after switching to Aindeem in 2018. Switched to topical fin/minox combo from Minoxidil Max in October 2020, along with dermarolling 1x a week. It does work pretty well for the price, but i really did not know what to look at. So you gave me a great idea.
Senior Member hairlossPA Posted November 16, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted November 16, 2020 it would be an interesting case study to see if you can accurately define the length of time for a follicle in each phase. example: Magnify on the same follicle each day. When you notice it shed, count the days until you see a hair sprout. See the same hair get thicker and mature. Do this for a handful of follicles and average the growth time. Time consuming but would be really cool lol
