Senior Member hsrp10 Posted June 28, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted June 28, 2014 very nice result, I believe around 3,300 grafts were used for this case go dense or go home Unbiased advice and opinions based on 25 plus years of researching and actual experience with hair loss, hair restoration via both FUT & FUE, SMP, scalp issues including scalp eczema & seborrheic dermatitis and many others HSRP10's favorite FUT surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr Hasson, Dr. Rahal HSRP10's favorite FUE surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr. Bisanga, Dr. Erdogan, Dr. Couto (*indicates actual experience with doctor)
Senior Member Raj Jayukdht Posted June 28, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted June 28, 2014 I would say 3500 grafts formerly know as Jayukdht http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/177363-hair-transplant-dr-bhatti-oct-14-part-2-procedure.html
Regular Member Wen-Yi Wu M.D. Posted June 28, 2014 Author Regular Member Share Posted June 28, 2014 The patient received only 2300 grafts. For most patients, transplanting the frontal and midscalp areas need about 2500 grafts to produce a good cosmetic result. This patient is bald in the frontal zone , but only thinning in the midscalp. .He is very happy with just one session of 2300 grafts. This case also illustrates the racial differences in hair transplant. Asians need much less grafts to produce a good outcome Dr. Wen-Yi Wu is recommended on the Hair Transplant Network
Senior Member densedream Posted June 28, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted June 28, 2014 Wow! Great results! Asian people are fortunate and can have great looking hair after a hair transplant with the least amount of grafts.
Senior Member Spanker Posted June 29, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted June 29, 2014 (edited) I think I was pretty dang close. For those who guessed higher, it's important to note that Caucasians tend to need more grafts than Asians to achieve the same cosmetic effect due to having a thinner caliber hair, so many of you should not expect a result like that with such few grafts. Senior Member KO Posted June 29, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted June 29, 2014 Yep Spanker wins, for sure Asians need less grafts, but I was surprised by what appears to be the density on top... 3382 FUE Lupanzula http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/185463-3382-grafts-lupanzula.html

The patient would still have alot more grafts left in the reserve(via FUE and/or strip) in case of further balding. Clever use of grafts too. I know a few surgeons on here that would pack 2,500+ grafts in the frontal third alone... The only 2 threads you will ever need: Revamped Advantages/Disadvantages of FUE. Myths dispelled.
