Regular Member Akashgpt862 Posted June 10, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted June 10, 2014 Hair loss was an issue until now for me and Now theese minitiarised hairs . I am sometimes so depressed by my diffuse top thinning and front loss that i sometimes feel like suicide , not coz of girls , but i just loved my hair always kept them till shoulders. . Sometimes i get embarrased about my hair when cousins and freinds make a comment on my receding hair line and very thin top . Sometimes i think they are only just hairs and there are more important things in life to do but as soon as i see the mirror my confidence turns into depression and then i leave everything i was doing and feel very sad . I am suffering from low density and minitiarised hairs they have become very fine and do not grow long actually they have become very rough and very fine. I think i am not suffering from hair loss now .
Senior Member Rootz Posted June 10, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted June 10, 2014 Well if it makes you feel better everyone experiences hair loss, just to varying degrees. Some of your friends who comment about your hair may be in the same boat soon. And you probably know some people with the same or worse hairloss. You don't have to be NW1-2 to look good. My advice is to get bold and experiment with hair cuts/styles. It can make a BIG difference in your appearance. Unless you've tried shavig it short, you can't say it doesn't work for you. Try it. Keeping it long and trying to hold on can look much worse. Don't live in the past with your current hair.

Senior Member hsrp10 Posted June 11, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted June 11, 2014 Miniaturized hairs are a sign of impending hairloss, but some of them can actually be vellus new hairs growing in some cases. I would have it looked at by a hair restoration doctor Anyway, you're in the right place for finding options to deal with your hairloss Find a proactive way to deal with it including a new hair new style as mentioned by Rootz go dense or go home Unbiased advice and opinions based on 25 plus years of researching and actual experience with hair loss, hair restoration via both FUT & FUE, SMP, scalp issues including scalp eczema & seborrheic dermatitis and many others HSRP10's favorite FUT surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr Hasson, Dr. Rahal HSRP10's favorite FUE surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr. Bisanga, Dr. Erdogan, Dr. Couto (*indicates actual experience with doctor)

So take comfort knowing that you're on the right path. I think very few people see significant improvement from their starting point, and that's after probably 6+ months. For the first few months your hair could very well look a bit worse as the weaker hairs shed out before coming back stronger.

Senior Member Rootz Posted July 1, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted July 1, 2014 are you suffering from hair loss ? if yes , have you tried fin or minox or ht ? Yes to all the above. Been on fin for about 5 months and I don't think it is improving my situation much, but I didn't expect it to. More than likely it is preventing future loss and that my friend is a wonderful thing
jacob33
people, esp family would love to point it out - but i found it to not stop me from being attractive to girls. yes i felt the same way about it before - exercise can help bypass such feelings of depression, and who knows, keeping yourself healthy will help you with further hair loss - at least to some extent - but its hard to say that too. Senior Member Rootz Posted July 5, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted July 5, 2014 Most of people says positive about fin but No one shows there positive before after progress on fin . Like I said most people don't get big improvements on Fin. What improvement they may get is usually subtle. It's also a long drawn out process. There are pictures showing progress out there though, if you look hard enough. And of course the benefits are very well documented by scientific studies. But again the goal is to maintain and prevent future loss.
Senior Member KO Posted July 6, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted July 6, 2014 Keep taking your finasteride, and if you don't get sides and you continue taking it, in all likelihood, you will maintain your hair for many, many years, and even if you continue to lose hair, it will be at a far slower rate. In the long run, you will be fine. 3382 FUE Lupanzula http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/185463-3382-grafts-lupanzula.html

Senior Member Shacked Posted July 29, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted July 29, 2014 Look at Dr. Robert Bernstein's web site for some impressive before and after photos of finasteride. My HT surgeon, and my previous dermatologist who was an investigator in the initial medical trials of finasteride at Harvard both said that in very rare cases does fin stimulate regrowth of hair. Yet Bernstein's web site has lots of amazing case studies of regrowth. I really wonder just how common this is?

Mostly this type of symptoms shows hair loss cause, but on the other hand, if we think positively, then it is the sign of growing new hair as well. Relax, and just notice some hair fall symptoms for 2-3 days other than miniature hairs. Edited August 4, 2014 by HermanCobb

Senior Member Rootz Posted September 23, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted September 23, 2014 Do not know what to do now Good job sticking to Fin for 4.5 months, now just keep it up. It's a long term commitment. It's like putting sunscreen on every day before going outside, you're not going to appreciate the benefit now... but in 5, 10, 20 years you'll be glad you did. Dreadlocks1
Stress may increase your problem so first of all think positive, be confident and leave your tensions behind, take proper diet, use natural and chemical free products. Dry scalp may also cause the hair loss. Take advice from experienced hair expert.
Regular Member Quasar Posted October 19, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted October 19, 2014 Hi Akash - I strongly recommend you religiously continue with Finasteride and also use Minoxidil 5% solution twice a day to thicken your existing hair. Because, your weak hair will shed out and it takes around 4 months for the dormant hair to go into anagen(growth) phase - that's the hair cycle, you must give atleast 5-12 months to see any noticeable results from the treatment. That'll do you tremendous good in the long run. Starting the right treatment early makes all the difference. Finasteride and Minoxidil are FDA approved drugs, clinically well-tested and proven world-wide to arrest, control/slow-down and in some cases stop hair-fall and cause your existing hair to thicken over 3-4 cycles. You should easily be able to maintain/keep your existing hair. Besides, you are too young still to undergo an HT. I wish and hope you are sticking to your meds. At no point, give them up! Thanks, Quasar C.
