  1. yes start taking propecia right away. He wont do a procedure unless you have been on it 6-12 months as far as I know. Hi wait times were around 6 weeks to 3 months if I remember correctly.
  2. Haven't been on here for ages so thought I would give an update. Its been three years since my procedure. It has totally changed my life, and I still have hair Couldn't recommend Dr Reddy and his team enough. You get what you pay for!
  3. Thanks.... nope just saline and lots of it. I very gently used baby shampoo and luke warm water after 7 days I believe. Then at 14 days started back on minoxodil cheers
  4. yes i take propecia every day. I was on minoxidil every day but rarely use it now... maybe a few times very couple of weeks
  5. There is a Dr Reddy in the States that sells Fin. Dr Reddy at the Private Clinic, Harley street is among the top fue surgeons in the world. Well....my results are amazing and people can't believe it.
  6. Coincidentally I got my PhD on my 1 year hair transpalnt anniverary ! Thanks, Dr Reddy!
  7. Thanks. I'll get the clinic pre op pics and share after I go for my 12 month photos in July
  8. Sorry, I actually had my total months since procedure wrong in the last few updates. I am now actually at 10.5 months.
  9. He potentially works out of a clinic in Nottinghamshire I believe or somewhere similar. I believe the per FUE price is the same but you may get charged for moving his whole team up there. I think it would be much better to go to the regular well equipped London clinic, but thats something you would have to discuss with the Doc.
  10. Thanks, guys. @paulb: If memory serves there have been some quite bad reviews of The Hair Transplant Clinic, so make sure you do your home work. The price you quoted is half what I paid. I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for". @refuse2lose: I'll continue to grow as long as poss without the crown looking too thin, At the moment its fine thanks to the Propecia and minox.
  11. Coming along. I think by 18 months I will have the full result.
  12. shouldn't raise your heart beat too much for the first four days. for eg. i had stitches up inside my nose after an operation. after a few days i thought i would gentle knock one out...big mistake...increased blood pressure popped my stitches..massive blood clot in my nose...rushed though Emergency to stop the clot...vacuum and wadding up my nose...one of the most painful things ever to happen to me... haha so in short...stop jacking off!
  13. Still some hairs that haven't come through. Longest I've been able to have my hair in a good few years. The minoxidil seems to be doing the trick on my feeble attempt at a beard also! Believe it or not it was much more feeble before! Been applying to the beard for probably about 8 months.
  14. Doesn't sound good. Did you use a reputable surgeon?
  15. Please do not turn my thread into a marketing outlet for the Dr. you represent. I was voicing my opinion that led to my choice, in direct response to the question asked of me. Please talk independently to prospective patients outside of this discussion as I have no need for additional info past what I already have regarding your Dr. You only initially joined this thread when it was flagged to you that "Rahal" was mentioned. This thread has very little to do with him so please discuss elsewhere. Thanks
  16. Mainly the fact that the clinic seems to churn out procedures on a daily basis, i have read about too many failed procedures/unsatisfied customers for me to be 100% confident in him doing fue, and he apparently works really fast using an automatic punch.
  17. There have been no breakthroughs and IMO its unlikely to happen in the next 20 years. A study came out a couple of months ago, but the caveat is that they used stem cells that are not appropriate for medicinal solutions: Stem Cells Promote Human Hair Regrowth In Mice : Science : Design & Trend
  18. my procedure was done over two days. This is to ensure accuracy and maximize graft survival. They do not provide accommodation but there are 100s of hotels in London. My family lives there so was no issue for me. Your graft/price calculation is correct.
  19. There is already quite a lot of info. already in this thread. Can you be more specific in what you want to know?
  20. Thanks guys. It has made a huge difference to my confidence not wearing hats etc. I couldn't recommend Dr Reddy enough. @Wibbles: I was living in Canada at the time of booking my procedure and so was evaluated via emailed pics. The team were obviously able to evaluate my donor enough this way. I believe the Doc only takes on ~10% of patients that display decent hair supply and characteristics. He did say that I had "big" healthy grafts when we met in person. I'd suggest sending some pictures but then following up with a phone call as sometimes the clinic is a little slow to respond due to their small size and workload. Very nice professional team nonetheless. The pricing is 6 quid per extracted graft. @TMM I see no reason really to stop using Minox. I don't worry if I miss a few days here and there if I'm busy etc. I use more than 1 mil, but just once in the evening. The Kirkham stuff is cheap so its no worries. Cheers J
  21. Just had a trim so thought to share my progress at the 8 month mark. Hairs are maturing and I still see a bunch of hairs that are still yet to start properly growing. These are part of follicles that contain other hairs too (which are growing) so these should start to grow soon.
  22. I used lots of saline on my grafts for the first seven days (when the scabs came off) every twenty mins. I also lightly used baby shampoo after about 5 days, so I doubt that sweat would do any damage.
