  1. My surgeon wouldn't do it as he said he always has patients coming to him to remove or try to fix the temple points they have had done previously. The reason is that most are left with an island of hair as this region recedes more. Also, he said that despite many of the photos on line looking as though temple points look fine, on closer examination in real life they look strange as the hair is usually too coarse. Still, I would love mine worked on just a tad. Ive always had weak temple points anyway.

This guy looks to have terrible and unacceptable swelling. I has ZERO swelling during my FUE. How are grafts expected to survive if they undergo such trauma? Refinement of technique and perhaps less injected anesthetic is needed. Not good at all.
  3. Things getting better month to month. Guess Im around half way now. Was recently on holiday, talking to a 46 year old that hadn't lost a single hair on his head...he said to me " Well your never going to lose your hair by the looks of it"... My friend from home and I looked at each other and smiled. I usually explain it all to anyone and everyone was just too drunk to bother, but we both thought it funny. Dr. Reddy's FUE is doing the trick so far
  4. Any surgeon that promises 70 grafts per cm-squared isn't realistic. Most surgeons consider around 50 per cm2 as dense packing. Iv'e never heard of or seen the amount you were expecting in any cases.
  5. Here is a before and after 5.5 months. Man I looked rough before hahaha Too many Canadian burgers and beer I think
  6. Quick update at five and a half months. Hope to see a bit more thickening up front and on the temples, but so far so good, I think. Close to a year on Propecia, and 9 months on minox, have certainly contributed to better quality of hair and thickening up top. With the current fairly good growth, I hope there is further room for more improvement over the next 6.5 months or more.
  7. Manual extraction and choi implanter. Follicles are kept in acell and its applied to the head. There are likely other things that define it. I believe one of these is that the Dr does not go as deep during the extraction as other doctors and is very cautious about the amount of anesthetic applied. This means there was no pain, swelling, bruising, or scarring.
  8. My 5 month mark comes up in a week or so where I will post more pics of hairline etc. In there mean time here are a couple of shots. one taken Oct 10th and the second on Nov 24. More density hopefully to come in the right side of the cowlick (see a number of sprouting hairs), and in the temples. Hopefully there are even bigger improvements over the next 7 months. I certainly think the minox and propecia are helping with the quality of hair on my crown. Sorry, I don't know why my image keep on getting rotated in the posts.
  9. Exactly! I lost three grafts proper when I rubbed them during sleep. They all bled and all were accompanied by a full white sheath. By the time scabs come off the follicles are rooted. Scabs and crusts commonly fall off with the jettison hair shaft. The follicle is still in your scalp.
  10. Two day sessions should increase return because of less trauma impacted in just one session. Also grafts are less likely to pop if dense packing as they have had 24 hours to get some stability in the scalp. Also, I had acell applied to the scalp on the first day, so this preps the scalp for an even easier procedure the next day.
  11. I'm not saying the weight gain isn't legitimate, I'm saying that its just pure irrational speculation to suggest that the clinical trial results were distorted to exclude weight gain as a side effect. If they did observe it, it was probably negligible or an uncontrolled factor i.e. they didn't regulate subjects eating and exercise throughout the trials so have no way to attribute weight gain to the drug.
  12. The clinical trials were held by research scientists at Harvard Medical School. Why would they report sexual disfunction but not slight weight gain? Just eat healthy, take your vitamins, and work out. Working out suprizingly will give you mor energy.
  13. From my perspective I would agree that people likely stop posting because of lack of feedback. I see a lot of contributions to threads with pointless bickering, when a quick "looks normal, "thanks, keep us posted" would actually be more constructive to the community on threads where people post results. I am having a great result and thought at numerous points "why bother if it seems my posts are not getting acknowledged?" I continue to post results despite disproportionately fewer comments compared to those in argumentative threads, as it may help someone at some point down the line in assessing the surgeon that I went with. There can be some great advice on the forum, it was very helpful for me, but it could be even better without threads turning into essay length responses concerning subjective matters of opinion.
  14. Dr Reddy at the Private Clinic is the best in the UK and likely Europe
  15. Well thanks for paraphrasing my original comment. You are clearly an expert because you have looked at a forum for ten years. And when you say "they can give you the 12-18 month garbage", who are you referring to? If you actually read my original comment you will see that I HAVE SEEN those examples. I think you are total misinformed if you think that the results at 7 months will be identical to those at over a year. But i guess you are correct and all the top surgeons conspire to lie to us?
  16. Its hard to find a picture before because I would always where a hat. But I found one my friends posted on Facebook not before they gave me a little more facial hair. The hairline has been dramatically transformed and this is more noticeable from the sides with the increased temple coverage. I will get the pre-shaved op pics from the clinic in Jan at my 6 months meeting.
  17. 18th week post op. Got lots of compliments at a friends wedding... people couldn't believe it really. My bald friend was super stoked about it and is looking into getting an FUE.
  18. No they don't actually charge per hair. This is just the average cost per hair given an average number of hairs per graft usually seen. They charge per graft i.e. 6 pounds. It all comes down to which surgeon meets a patients needs both in their procedure, ethics, and results. Dr Reddy impressed me the most in all three categories. Dr Lorenzo charges 6 euro (which is close enough to 6 pounds) for the first 1000, and 4 euro for the next 1000. So if I would have gone with Lorenzo I would have saved 2K euro. But I would have had to travel to his clinic from London, stayed in a hotel etc. So after all that I wouldn't have really saved much. Plus, Dr Reddys results are more impressive with a smaller amount of grafts in my opinion.
  19. On their site they give an average cost of 2.50 per hair. Not graft. Most grafts contain more than one hair. In my case I had many with 2+ hairs per graft, so if I was charged on a strictly per hair basis it would have worked out more than expensive. The going rate for the top European surgeons if 6 per graft
  20. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/159083-i-am-another-victim-advance-hair-studios-strand-strand-treatment.html Hair Loss Help Forums - Advanced Hair Studio, Strand by Strand: side effects? stay away from them and go to one of the top surgeons for a proper procedure. AHS require continual maintenance and $$$
  21. I has a smoke after my procedure....and maybe a few during the week after. Didn't seem to do my follicle growth any. The effect it would have on blood pressure wouldnt be much more than walking up a flight of stairs. One or two wont hurt. However, try an e-cigarette. I haven't touched a smoke in to months now and barely use the e-cig in the last week. Wouldn't have been able to quite if it wasnt for it.
  22. LOTS of hairs still to come though so should see a nice improvement over the next few months. So far things are progressing as expected.
