HT #2 with Dr.Bhatti - 1720 FUE (Sep '13)

Fellas, so finally I had my 2nd HT with Dr. Bhatti a couple of days back on 6th Sep. I wanted to cover the front and the crown both in this procedure. The total process took some 7hrs as my scalp had become a little tighter due to the earlier 2 transplants. Initially, the doc wasn’t too sure if the available grafts will be able to cover both areas but finally the yield was better than he was expecting and could manage 1720 scalp grafts with the following breakup:

1s: 120

2s: 1027

3s: 573

Out of these, 950 were used for the front and 770 for the crown.

 

There is no pain and no swelling till now and I hope it remains the same. Also, doctor Bhatti has moved to a swanky clinic in the most centrally located sector of Chandigarh with 4 OTs overall. The doctor and the staff were extremely cordial as ever and the doc provided his cab for all local conveyance, which was a big relief.

 

For those who have been following my earlier transplant would know that the earlier grafts on my mid-scalp didn’t grow. So the plan was to fill-in the empty mid-scalp area and the empty crown (not transplanted earlier). I would like to add that I have been suffering from severe flaking of the scalp (an advance stage of dandruff) for a few years now, which could have been the reason for low yield and growth earlier. I was advised to goto a dermatologist to look into it, as it might also have be the reason for my continuous hair loss over the years as well. I plan to do that as soon as I am 2-3 weeks post-op.

i mean your temple points to all way what is called hairline

Hi, the hairline was only touched where it was required. If you see my pre-op pictures, the hairline was weak on my right side, thats why you would see work done only on that side and the other side untouched. I have a weak donor and have to be realistic and prudent in the consumption. If I had a good donor supply, I would have loved to lower my natural hairline and touchup the temples, but can't at this point in time..... cheers!

Can u explain what do you mean by structured hairline ? Am planning a HT from Dr.Bhatti who knows this is a point even I can keep in mind during my HT.

People here jeep talking about Bhatti's hairline being not do good but is it not that something that a person undergoing a FT can get it right in consultation with the HT performing Dr. So how is the Dr only responsible for if if he goes not know how to do a modern she HT unlike the plugs that used to happen in earlier days well, that is a question with the Doctor's skill then !!

I didnt know that scalp can get tighter after 2 HT via FUE!!!

augusta ht network is open forum and you can just click and see results of doctors and patients and ask user if u r satisfied

it your call and i think i gave you link and utube you have eyes and brain now use ur own brain.

remmeber bhati is cheapest and good except hairline

hairline according to me is the crux and backbone to HT

I willl say from my perspective if u have good hairline ur half batttle is won.

I send u link and videos u can seach this forum and utube and look urself in mirror and imagine what you could be with structured hairline andwhat you would be if haurline is not bridge proper and only hair is filled randomly with not border line which i called structure hairline it should have border line all from forehead border to temple points and u already have that video which is more then enough to understand what i am referrinfg to hairline.

HT is ot a joke and getting it done by an skilled surgeon with artistic skill is worth then getting butchered and going again for correction

Not much donor left now as I have very less body hair. If I remember correctly, something like 500 grafts more from the scalp and 300-400 more from the beard I guess.....

 

Guess everything has its pros and cons, hairy guys are pissed with excess hair and guys like me miss them in the case of a depleting donor

So u only had about 5000 grafts available in total from yr donor area. This is why I would like to meet dr bhatti few months before my ht and see how many grafts I have available from my donor area and from my body but im from Europe and he's from india. Im just hoping he will be visiting europe sometime in the near future.

I get what you are saying, the donor density varies from person to person. Not sure about his travel plans to Europe but another alternative can be shaving down your head and sending him closeup (macro) pictures of the back and the sides..... just a thought

I agree hairline is the....the...important thing while doing a HT. But the Risk of going for a very structurd hairline is it starts looking too un-natural too artifical. I am getting serious goosebumps now, with people here criticising so much about Bhatti's Hairline. :rolleyes:

augustya I agree with what you've written on a very structured/symmetric hairline. Moreover, I don't see many 'people' criticizing Dr.Bhatti's hairlines. From what I can read, it's one individual's view. You should visit threads of more patients' of Dr.Bhatti and decide on your own. My personal opinion would be to go ahead without any inhibitions. I am attaching a pic of HTIndia, one of the cases that made me choose Dr.Bhatti as my HT surgeon.

Great question. Usually doctors don't like to answer that until you force them to. When I went to Dr. Rahal asking of not reaching the density planned and why the grafts on my right side didnt grow as my left side although I implanted 2500 grafts into an area where previous transplanted hair were there and not click bald. He mentioned something about the incision size and that it should be bigger next time. However I'm really interested to hear Dr. Bhatti's answer on this

Dr. Bhatti said that my severe case of scalp flaking could have been the reason. It can be a possible derma problem and I shall be consulting a dermatologist at the earliest. He may be right as I also remember the start of the hairfall coinciding with the flaking problem that I have today. Who knows had I taken care of it earlier I wouldn't be requiring a HT today

With Incision Size do you mean the Slits that are made for Hair Grafting ?

I like your Deep Faith in Dr.Bhatti to believe whatever he said. I mean just Like Hariri said Doctors generally dont like to answer these sort of questions, so for you to take him (Dr.Bhatti) on Face Value for whatever reason that he gave for your Grafts to no to grow. I mean I like your Faith in Dr.Bhatti !
