Both 31 and past experience of Roaccutane (I was on it for 12 months in 2006-2007) and I definitely think it had a huge impact on my hair. Been reading through your entire thread, great results so far buddy and I bet you can't wait for the next few months. Really wishing you all the very best matey. Ya Greg, that Roaccutane stuff is nasty, I was on it at 16 and again at 29. Not fun! Senior Member JohnnyDrama Posted February 6, 2014 Author Senior Member Share Posted February 6, 2014 Thanks lads......things are still kicking in nicely. Have let it grow since getting it cut on Dec 23rd. I'll get more pics up in 2 weeks time when I hit the 6 month mark. Just a note regarding a change on the regimen / medication side of things: I've decided to give my body a break from Finasteride for a while (still experiencing sides every now and then, albeit not quite as bad since lowering my dose). I still want some form of anti-DHT blocker in my system though so I'm going to try out Nettle Root (500mg daily). 2,200 FUE + PRP with Dr Bisanga - BHR Clinic, 22-23 August 2013 - http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/171950-my-fue-2-200-prp-dr-bisanga-bhr-clinic.html Current Regimen: - Rogaine 5% Foam 2x daily - Jasons Restorative Biotin Shampoo 2x daily / Nizoral 2% 2x weekly - Nettle Root 500mg, MSM 1500mg, Biotin 5mg, Multi Vit, Omega

Senior Member JohnnyDrama Posted February 25, 2014 Author Senior Member Share Posted February 25, 2014 6 Month Update Cannot believe half a year has passed. Flown by! So much faster than the 6 months pre op that's for sure! I'll post 2 sets of pics. This first set is how I look right now as I have not cut my hair in 2 months. The first few are with no product and the rest have some gel/wax for a bit of shape. The second set will be after a haircut. Needless to say I'm still very happy with progress for 6 months. Getting lots of comments and questions from mates whom are fascinated in how much stronger everything looks. My 7 month update will be taken by BHR themselves as I am visiting them for a second round of PRP and a review of things in general. Looking forward to being in there with a much bigger smile on my face this time! 2,200 FUE + PRP with Dr Bisanga - BHR Clinic, 22-23 August 2013 - http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/171950-my-fue-2-200-prp-dr-bisanga-bhr-clinic.html Current Regimen: - Rogaine 5% Foam 2x daily - Jasons Restorative Biotin Shampoo 2x daily / Nizoral 2% 2x weekly - Nettle Root 500mg, MSM 1500mg, Biotin 5mg, Multi Vit, Omega

I'm going for my procedure with BHR tomorrow - and its been your thread that persuaded me to take the plunge in the end. Please keep updating - its been great following your progress Wow, great to hear mate, best of luck - you're in good hands. I might bring up the topic of commission when in BHR in a few weeks. Much like other individuals threads had a big influence on me, it really is fantastic to hear it has gone full circle. Actually, I've just realised you would have been in the chair today........how did it go? What kind of procedure? (p.s. - if you'd prefer, send me a PM, but i'd be very interested to hear either way). 2,200 FUE + PRP with Dr Bisanga - BHR Clinic, 22-23 August 2013 - http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/171950-my-fue-2-200-prp-dr-bisanga-bhr-clinic.html Current Regimen: - Rogaine 5% Foam 2x daily - Jasons Restorative Biotin Shampoo 2x daily / Nizoral 2% 2x weekly - Nettle Root 500mg, MSM 1500mg, Biotin 5mg, Multi Vit, Omega
Regular Member StillThinking Posted February 26, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted February 26, 2014 I have a thin frontal area - diffused hair loss, although the hairline is still almost there. I'm hoping to fix up the hairline and thicken up the thinning. Your situation was closest to mine I could find - not so many of us diffusers Unfortunately my donor area on the sides was not the best - 1s and 2s, but the back had a good number of 3s. But doctor happy to go ahead considering my age (42) Dr Bisanga advised 1600 - 2000 FUE grafts, and today I had just over 1000 done. So my forhead is shaved, and one side implanted, back is shaved, one side pitted/bandaged. Longer clown hair in between I feel fine actually, blood was racing 110, but I felt calm enough. And placements were actually quite soothing in a way. Some pain - but nothing too bad. Looking forward to finishing up tomorrow - and perhaps ask about PRP - Doctor Bisanga didn't mention it - but its done you no harm Anyway - I don't want to take your thread - I should start my own with photos when I get them. Thanks for your updates, they now give me something to aim for
Senior Member JohnnyDrama Posted February 27, 2014 Author Senior Member Share Posted February 27, 2014 Sounds good mate. You're lucky to have gotten to 42 and then only needing a moderate amount of grafts. How did today go? 2,200 FUE + PRP with Dr Bisanga - BHR Clinic, 22-23 August 2013 - http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/171950-my-fue-2-200-prp-dr-bisanga-bhr-clinic.html Current Regimen: - Rogaine 5% Foam 2x daily - Jasons Restorative Biotin Shampoo 2x daily / Nizoral 2% 2x weekly - Nettle Root 500mg, MSM 1500mg, Biotin 5mg, Multi Vit, Omega
Regular Member StillThinking Posted February 27, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted February 27, 2014 Went similar to yesterdays - very glad its over with Graft counts: 2015 (1: 574, 2: 981, 3: 434, 4: 26) I've not needed the pain killers.. and yesterday slept fine. Head is 'leaking' a bit more tonight - so could be messy tomorrow morning for the maid! Stephen emailed my with some after care tips already - suggested vitamins - which I don't have with me, can buy some tomorrow. I do have some biotin + calcium + magnesium tablets - maybe I can start on those now. The biggest problem I have is - I have two very nice bottles of whisky in my bag - and I cant touch them yet...
