  1. Replicel are starting their phase 2 trials this year, I'm quite excited by that and actually thought there'd be more of a 'buzz' on this site about it. I think the tech has moved on significantly in the past 10 years and I hope that it'll move even more quickly now - certainly seems to be more momentum building. I read an article today about the Replicel trials and it also stated an approximate price of the treatment. In my opinion, if they are talking about prices, it sounds like it's definitely going to market. We're going to have to wait to see the results from the trials in Japan, unfortunately that's a while away yet. They keep saying they are confident of release in 2018 in Japan - but I'd certainly make the trip if the results are good.
  2. Hi John, You're still thinking about it so it sounds like you really want to do it. Try not to worry about anything going wrong, it's very rare that things go badly wrong. If you do go for it you will be in very safe hands, and at the end of it the worst that will happen will be that you'll have a much better hairline than before. It's a big decision and only you can decide, but if it's bothering you it's maybe time to make the jump mate. If you want to pm me to talk, that's fine ?
  3. Hi PMA, Looking fantastic, really pleased for you. What a difference.
  4. Hi 1966, I'm sure it was around ?199 for a years supply when cut into four :-)
  5. I second chrisdav for Dr Edgar, that's where I get mine. They come from a well known UK pharmacy.
  6. Hi Rossco, I'm in the UK and I get my Finasteride from a Dr recommended by Spex who is a member of this site. It's legit medication and is supplied by a well known UK pharmacy. Any problems pm me. :-)
  7. Hi KRL, Everyone's different, but I noticed some early growth around the two month mark. Some of the transplanted grafts didn't shed either so I had some bonus hair I wasn't expecting early on. It's normally around month four before you start to see anything happening of any substance.
  8. I actually spotted him with bottles/cans of Rogaine when he was in the bedroom unpacking after he wasn't evicted one night, so he's fighting the war as well.
  9. Hi Rhon, The follicles taken from your donor area will not grow back, they have been permanently moved to the recipient area. The rest of the hair at the back will grow as normal and you won't even notice any are missing. Did they not explain that to you before the procedure? Regards
  10. Well done PMA, looking great. Totally agree with your, and others, comments regarding hairline placement. It has to be age appropriate. I'm sure you'll breeze through the next few months.
  11. Hi Romanino, So sorry to hear that mate, such bad luck. I'm really glad that you say things are getting better for you. Thanks for your comments and hoping that everything goes well for you from now on, you deserve some good luck. Take care my friend.
  12. Hi Home1212 & Pma, Thanks guys, your comments are really appreciated.;-)
  13. Right, here we go. 13.5 months since my procedure so time for a little update. Sorry I haven't posted for a while but I don't think people want a month to month update when I'm at this stage, as the majority of changes have already happened. Although I know they say that developments can be still occur up until 18 months - I'll take any extra I can get - anything's a bonus! Hope the quality is ok. These were taken with no product in my hair - just washed and dried. I don't brush my hair this way, it just naturally goes forward like this...God, I'm sooooo grey!
  14. Hi Hadenough, Yeah, I was the same with the wind, always planning my day and ultimately life around how strong it was. I ended up becoming quite a recluse in the end which isn't healthy. Thanks for the great comments, I really appreciate it.;-)
  15. Hi Wibbles. I think the hair is maturing a bit, so I'd say yes mate. I'm going to try and get a few more pictures up soon for an update. Started using this stuff called 'VO5 Give me texture' which works really well for me as an alternative to gel or putty. It's like a very fine powder and it doesn't take a lot to give that grippy feel. It also gives a bit of volume as well which is always good to have. Only cost about ?2.50 just now. Cheers
  16. Thanks Bogger, Yeah, everybody seems to be happy with their results from Dr Lorenzo. I'm happy with how it is but would be delighted if it got even thicker.
  17. Hi glocktop, Thank you very much. Yeah, i'm very pleased with how is going and hopefully have a bit more thickening up to go.
  18. Hi glocktop, Thank you very much. Yeah, i'm very pleased with how is going and hopefully have a bit more thickening up to go.
  19. Hi John, I think he's only in Manchester until September then he's away back to his surgery in Madrid.
  20. Thanks Jimbo. Yeah, I got a few stuck into the crown area as well. If I remember correctly he put approx 1600 in the frontal third and the remainder in the midscalp and in the crown. You'll be looking forward to the growing starting on yours then - exciting times!
  21. Here's just a comparison to the pictures above - this is how I was less than 11 months ago. Thanks for the continued support guys.
  22. Hi everybody, Well that's me at 10.5 months now I reckon so I thought I'd do an update. I am very happy with the difference this has made to my life so far (and hairline of course). Pleased with the progress but, as everybody who has had a procedure would probably agree, would still love more. Think I'm just getting greedy and should be grateful for how far I've come. When I compare my original pictures to where I am now, I'm amazed. Apologies if the quality isn't 100% but I was doing it myself. These were taken with absolutely no product in and just out the shower and dried. My hair is quite wiry naturally so tends to just stick up in odd places. And grey is the new black! Hope everyone is well and here are the pictures...
  23. That's a really great result, the guy must be ecstatic with the outcome. Clever and realistic placement by the Dr, really natural looking. Well done.
