Senior Member Shampoo Posted January 28, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted January 28, 2013 So you are like 36 years old? I see a near perfect crown. If you worried or see it grow....try meds to halt/greatly slow progression. Otherwise I'd keep an eye on it, but do nothing at this time. So many would trade in a heart-beat. Bill - Seemiller
JayWalker, Honestly, your crown looks perfect to me. I think what you're seeing is the natural "whorl" pattern of the crown rather than any signs of hair loss. If you are concerned however, you can visit a dermatologist who can evaluate your scalp under magnification and look for signs of thinning hair that may not yet be visible to the naked eye. Best wishes, Bill

Senior Member aaron1234 Posted January 28, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted January 28, 2013 Looks really good! I would be happy with that. If the whirl pattern bothers you just dab a little dermmatch on it in the morning. Senior Member Janna Posted January 29, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted January 29, 2013 Overwhelming opinion is to do nothing with your crown and I have to agree. You look like you have a thick head of hair from the rear shot. You can put dermmatch on but I don't think that's even needed. I've always had a visible crown, I was just stressing that it had maybe got bigger......sometimes you look for something that isnt there! Im fine with having the whirl, just wanted to hear other opinions on my hair. http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/journal.asp?CopyID=10024&WebID=2832 October 2011 - 1647 FUT - Dr Dorin January 2014 - 1580 FUT - Dr Dorin
Senior Member Janna Posted January 29, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted January 29, 2013 Yup, that's understandable to want others' opinions. When it comes to ourselves, we're our own worst critic. Senior Member Spanker Posted January 29, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted January 29, 2013 I have been a little worried about my crown lately so I have been paying close attention to other peoples. There are 16 year olds with no hairloss and crowns that look like yours. Keep an eye on it because you do have the type of hair that can be heavily diffused before it is notices, because of your low contrast, but you are definitely good for now. I see men with black hair like mine where you can see a lot more skin than yours and do not appear to be losing. Some people have a whole in the crown that shoes skin. Some people like myself have a "s" whorl which may show up worse. Most people would trade their pinky finger to be in your shoes.
