Regular Member kcchiefsfan1982 Posted July 2, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted July 2, 2012 Ok, I do not like my hairline at all. I have never used concealers...is there a good one I can use to hide my hairline...make it look better? Also, what is the best way to fix my hair to give it the best look with my hairline? I am posting several pictures. I wrote YES on the picture if I like it. No if I dont like it (how it makes my hairline look) and maybe on a few that I am ok with, but not super happy. Any advice would be appreciated! I am considering hair restoration, but not 100% decided yet.
Senior Member 1978matt Posted July 2, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted July 2, 2012 Most people only see themselves in 2 dimensions, i.e. looking in a mirror, that's why it can be a shock to some people when you see yourself in photos from other angles. You could grow your hair longer and have a messy style, e.g. David Beckham 4,312 FUT grafts (7,676 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2013 1,145 FUE grafts (3,152 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2018 763 FUE grafts (2,094 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - January 2020 Proscar 1.25mg every 3rd day

Would you think I was crazy if I did decide to do the hair restoration surgery in my situation? I really would like to do it I think.
Senior Member chrisdav Posted July 2, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted July 2, 2012 Do you have any clearer closer up pictures? Your hair looks pretty good to me. 2 poor unsatisfactory hair transplants performed in the UK. Based on vast research and meeting patients, I travelled to see Dr Feller in New York to get repaired. Your hair looks pretty good to me. yeah ill post some this evening. One problem that i FINALLY figured out is that the gel I have been using for the past year was making my hairline look worse. I just recently started using a product that doesnt clump my hair together and also I barely use any water so it is more of a dry look and it seems to make my hairline a bit fuller now. Also, I need to quit cutting my hair so short when I get it cut. I am going to find a good stylist and have her keep it fairly medium/long. The only issue is when there is a lot of wind, sometimes, if my hair is long. But if I keep it the right length, I think I will have more success. If you compare my pictures #3 to picture #5....in #3, I used the old gel and it makes my hairline look horrid. In Pic #5 I used a different "gel" or cream or whatever and it doesnt make my hairline look as bad. Thanks, guys.

Senior Member aaron1234 Posted July 2, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted July 2, 2012 Hold off on a transplant for now. Get a miniaturization test done and if it is determined you are losing hair then get on Finasteride. Senior Member RCWest Posted July 3, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted July 3, 2012 29 is old enough in my opinion to get some work done on the hairline. Your hair still looks pretty good from those photos. Finasteride 1.25 mg. daily Avodart 0.5 mg. daily Spironolactone 50 mg twice daily 5 mg. oral Minoxidil twice daily Biotin 1000 mcg daily Multi Vitamin daily Damn, with all the stuff you put in your hair are you like a negative NW1?
