  1. hey pulp since your donor was fine pre-surgery, sounds like you've had shock loss of your donor reserves from the trauma your last procedure was only in 2012, these follicles might have a chance of returning in time do the exercises up the propecia to one tab a day up the minox 2x day and set a date in 2014 to re-evaluate be consistent in treatment this all might be temporary
  2. congrats and good luck! konior is definitely in my future thanks for your bare bones story and pictures
  3. great to see the hairline from the scalp now you can slick back and be proud! congrats! i'm choosing konior
  4. no need to worry as long as it is not growing in size and not changing colors this will disappear in time try to shampoo with Neutrogena T-SAL it is 3% salicylic acid used everyday it will clear your head of dead skin cells aka: LESS PIMPLES
  5. dr.'s skill in placing high number of grafts and history of getting a substantial yield totally dictates this no matter who operates (even those who usually get high yields at high grafting sessions) the bottom line is: less grafts per session less risk better yield
  6. hey jingle i've had a few cosmetic procedures and have found that people get very defensive of their docs i did not find your posts aggressive or with a hidden agenda and i agree that some after pics esp those of hairlines can show every angle from "the top" and not from the scalp or pushed back....what are you gonna do?! i also am considering Konior also and have found his pics to be "the best" (same angles and lighting) pre and post op of the lot of them check out the link to his website from this one as for other posters complaining about you "demanding" pics or calling other posts "useless" a few of these posters have asked the same of others so they should check themselves good luck
  7. konior just posted a pic of a diffuse patient with 3500 grafts he did not shave recipient check it out: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/142034-raymond-konior-m-d-3357-graft-hairline-restoration.html
  8. bulb at the end of hair means shed hair those with out bulb mean breakage neither are the ROOT of the hair do not worry about this
  9. start rogaine and propecia you have diffuse thinning throughout konior is one of the best if not the best he will tell it to you straight and will probably want you to be on these preventatives 1 year to see your progress
  10. handling and placement of grafts are just as important as extractions and incisions since most docs do not do the former emphasis is placed on the importance of the latter it is an industry-wide practice, so all we can do is go by clinic results and hope that there isn't high-turnover of tech staff
  11. what an honest write -up! thank you at 3 months looking REALLY GOOD!
  12. good or bad outcome aside it's insane if you think about it but a lot of the top docs have techs/RN either helping to place grafts in recipient area without being in the room (FUT) or with extractions (FUE) since it seems like this is common practice industry-wide choice should be made on reputation of clinic although what happens if long time tech and nurse staff leave.... then i guess the past isn't prologue
  13. maybe because he does the insertion of the grafts
  14. HT can never recreate the natural density or "closeness" of hair follicles though it can give that illusion...in your case a very good illusion so parting the hair (to make a straight-line part) in the recipient area (i'm thinking you meant recipient area, the place in which donor hair was transplanted) will show more skin than the straight-line part made in the non-recipient of donor hair region (in your case, down the center) now this scalp show is probably not a concern if you comb the region forward or even straight back or styling without a noticeable straight line part but only when styling to get an exposed scalp with a straight-line part (like in the early 60's, aka MAD MEN)
  15. you have a great attitude and the right one stay away from the detractors it'll either grow by december or you will have it fixed to your liking good luck
  16. looking good! you had the most objective thread re: density and placement it has helped me immensely thank you
  17. informative update with in-depth details about the process of this (and most) cosmetic procedure this is really appreciated looking good
  18. totally natural and buzzed very low WOW! plus in the sun to boot! really can't beat what you have accomplished transplanting into completely bald areas one could NEVER guess congrats
  19. from the pics he would go a bit further in then just the bald spots on your temple angles wanting to adj the temple points as well as the frontal hairline i'd say the recipient area covered would be 50-55cm2 to blend in naturally with what looks like a nice thick wall of hair behind what will be the new hairline he would probably attempt to implamt 65-70 in the front, 60-65 directly behind that, and 50-55 further in. i think it would come out x-lent meaning your loss (minimal at temple angles) and hair characteristics (thick and wavy) and skin type (dark) were made for a hairline restoration like this BUT this all depends on your donor hair, scalp laxity and if rahal would want to spend 3500 grafts on a 20 year old to lower his hairline when you might have a very good chance of losing the rest behind it. that's why other factors come into play, other than hair available age future loss family history propecia use it's worth a consult with him he won't steer you wrong his website is also FULL of hairlines and hair types like yours with spectacular results though i do believe these patients were much older than you so be aware
  20. 3500 grafts for 50-55cm2 recipient area @ 63-70 grafts per cm2 hairline temple angle and points take a lot to blend in naturally and you have a great base to build a wall behind it see rahal edit: oh you are in your twenties! not sure if rahal will take this chance on your hairline with my numbers in your late thirties or forties, more likely, but hey, you never know you do have good hair characteristics so .....maybe are you on propecia? has the loss stabilized? family men bald?
  21. you have early growth at 2 months good sign! the shock loss will come back so don't worry up to 6 months though so...
