Regular Member japzuki Posted June 23, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted June 23, 2012 Hey everybody! So I have been contemplating a hair transplant for a few years now to restore my receeding hairline. I am going back quite a bit at the temple point regions and it is really starting to annoy me having to constantly style my hair to cover these balding areas so I have decided to do something about it. I am 32 and I feel it is a little too young to admit defeat to the unrelenting deteriorating effect that age has on the body. So if I can hold it off for just a few more years maybe until I am 40 then what the hell I can shave my head get fat and accept my fate. But in the mean time with help from this forum and a few others I have decided to have the work done by Dr. Keser of dermaplast Turkey. I have seen nothing but good results from this surgeon and members of this forum seem to be a fan of his and it looks as though he ticks all the boxes when looking for a F.U.E doctor i.e he has created his own tools, He does the extractions and the placement of the grafts himself, he limits himself to a maximum number of grafts per day as too avoid fatigue, and from all the pics I have seen he seems to have a great eye for hair line design. I just hope he maintains the same quality when it comes to my procedure. So in september I am flying to Ankara to have around 1200 to 1400 grafts placed in my templte point areas, I know its not so many but I dont need my hairline lowered just the temple points filled to to give a more even hair line. I have been asured by his sales rep that Dr Kesers growth rate is around 95-100% and that his transection rate it around 1%. Again I hope these statistics hold true when I go for mine. I plan to continually update on this forum throughout my journey in the strange and sometimes frowned up on world of hair restoration and share my full experience both positive and negative. Thanks Japz. Just a question for any of you guys out there. I have a long hall flight 2 days after my precedure will this have any effect on the implanted grafts? Senior Member aim4hair Posted June 23, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted June 23, 2012 Hope all goes well... Dr. Keser is on the top of my list for FUE.. i've never seen a bad result from him as for traveling after procedure, i guess it's alright but it's better to ask dr. keser about that, usually doctors will give you a pre and post op instructions that you need to follow to get the optimum results, all those details should be mentioned. Regular Member japzuki Posted September 8, 2012 Author Regular Member Share Posted September 8, 2012 Hey Guys, So I went through with the procedure with Dr. Keser was really quite nervous just before and was seriously considering not going through with it at the 11th hour. How ever I had already paid the deposit and was in Turkey so what the hell. This is just a quick update I was really happy with the service of Dr. Keser and his team I just have to wait and see if his results are as good as I have been led to believe. I am going to post pictures and give a much more detailed account of my experience real soon. Just waiting for my huge elephant my head to go down a bit first. I have some horrendous swelling:eek:. Soon.
Regular Member japzuki Posted October 15, 2012 Author Regular Member Share Posted October 15, 2012 So here it a few pics from my surgery with Dr.Keser the whole experience was great in Turkey I couldn't fault it. Dr. Keser and his team were very helpful in every way and he even gave me 100 extra grafts for free instead of paying for my hotel which I had already booked. The experience aside it is the results that count and what we pay the money for so I would be interested to hear your views on the quality of the transplant and if what you see at this time post op if is normal. My main concern is the angles of the hair and also the gaps between certain planted grafts maybe this is down to shock loss in this area but I would be very interested to see what you guys think.. Senior Member s2thoudriver Posted October 15, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted October 15, 2012 Another great FUE result from Dr.Keser, great growth and more to come no doubt as it thickens up. Turkey continues to produce consistently great FUE, in terms of yield results, clean donor areas and design, at fantastic value! Happy growing Rob 2800 FUE, Istanbul
Senior Member PupDaddy Posted October 15, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted October 15, 2012 Hi japzuki, So far so good. The immediate post-op photos look like Dr. Keser did an excellent and refined job for your relatively modest needs. Don't be alarmed when you notice yourself losing the hair from the transplanted grafts in the coming weeks. Most if not all of it will fall out before the actual, long term growth from the grafts occur. That's just how it works. It is called the "ugly duckling" stage of the ht. You will probably start to get a good handle on how things will end up looking in the 5-8 months post op range, and the hair growing from the grafts should continue to get better (mature and thicken) as time passes and the hair goes through growth cycles. Please keep us updated of your progress. Grow well.
umut
Hi japzuki, congratulations ! your new hair looks good. How much did you paid per graft? 3 euro/graft?
Regular Member Masato Posted October 17, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted October 17, 2012 I think you're in for a great result Japzuki! How many grafts did you end up getting? Is there any reason why the grafts were extracted only from one side at the back of your head? Thank you for sharing your story and pictures. Regular Member japzuki Posted October 17, 2012 Author Regular Member Share Posted October 17, 2012 Hey I had 1450 grafts in total around 800 on the left side and the rest on the right. But only paid for 1300 @ 3.5euros because he gave me the rest for free so I paid around 3.15 a graft which ain't so bad but I just hope the results come to fruit because the price is not so important. The grafts we taken from all over the back of the head it just that I have only uploaded one picture showing the donor area. I really hope that the gaps fill up in the future months its still a bit patchy and will keep you all updated with pictures. Thanks for your replies. Regular Member Masato Posted December 20, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted December 20, 2012 japzuki, Any chance to get an update on your progress? It already looked pretty good 6 weeks post-op. How are things currently? Thanks!
Regular Member japzuki Posted December 23, 2012 Author Regular Member Share Posted December 23, 2012 Hi guys, So here is a 3.5 month update with some pics not taking any meds and never will. I am happy with the way things are coming along so far the whole experience was a pretty positive one apart from the horrendous swelling straight after the op, a little tip dont take a 16 hour flight a day after your op! There is only one concern I have with what Dr. Keser has done for me and that is the placement of the grafts on the right side of my head do not seem to follow the pattern of the already existing hair and are growing at a different angle. maybe I can overcome this with a good hairdresser What you guys think? So there is my update if you have anymore questions, I will be happy to answer them because I know how difficult a decision it is to have a hair transplant. Regards, Japz
cyruski
Thanks for the update Japsuki, we have very similar hair loss and type. I will also go with Dr. Keser possibly 1500-1600 grafts range. Already have the appointment set.
