Senior Member Sean Posted June 23, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted June 23, 2012 Outstanding work. This is probably one of the best, actually the best, female hairline restorations I have seen. I see the person was listed as Caucasian. Are there any specific ethnic traits in females for hairlines as well? I initially thought Persian/Middle Eastern when looking at the distance based on the placement of grafts in the immediate post op pic. This is a fantastic result. Just goes to show that in the hands of a very skilled hair transplant doctor, forehead reduction isn't necessary for females. They can get an outstanding restoration result using minimal number of grafts.

Dr. Bijan Feriduni
@ Sean - Just like in masculine hairline design, female hairlines must be conform to ethnic specifications and of course to the facial shape of each individual, so there are indeed subtle differences between Caucasian female hairlines and Asian or African female hairlines. But overall a female hairline shape is always rounded and without any fronto-temporal recession in comparison with a masculine hairline, no matter which ethnicity. This patient was moreover not a suitable candidate for a forehead reduction due to her hair loss pattern, which was almost ovate in shape. @ Headbangerguy, Slickers, MPBsucks & Irishsailor - Thank you for the compliments but to be honest this patient was not 100% happy with her result. She suffered from a scab layer in the central core region for more than 3 weeks after the surgery resulting in a lower regrowth in this area. We performed a small touch-up procedure in February 2012 to achieve a higher density rate in the central core. I will keep you updated with the results in a couple of months!
