Good times are right around the corner for you......the reality is that the normal growth time starts in the 3 - 4 month time. You do see a lot of posts with early growth, but I would imagine the norm across all patients, even with the top clinics is about the same. I was one of the lucky ones with early growth, but at the end of the day it really has no impact on the result.....just lets you get excited sooner. I am sure you will start popping out all over soon and I am looking forward to seeing your growth!

NHP.. you are looking great so far! I too, have had 4700 grafts with Dr. Rahal (I am at 5 weeks).. but at 3.5 months you are just at the starting point!

I would stay positive as you are out of the bad phase of the procedure. Nothing but good things to come now ;)

NEWHAIRPLEASE, Chill out buddy. I started to get results at 6 months post op. How about that? 3.5 months is toooooooooo early. Just give it at least 2 more months. About my case, I was told repair patients needs more time to see their results than virgin scalp patients. :-(

It's always slower when you have quite a lot of pre op hair god knows why but look at me and hairthere you're probably comparing your self to rahal patients that were virtually bald but the best of them don't boom till 4 months anyway.

Be patient not everyone grows at the same rate.

Should start to come in soon.

2 poor unsatisfactory hair transplants performed in the UK.

Based on vast research and meeting patients, I travelled to see Dr Feller in New York to get repaired.

I know all this guys! Thanks for the words. I know I'm being slightly impatient. It's like I said, Dr Rahal has set the bar so high that everyone is comparing the 4 month mark... I'm NOT the least bit worried about it. I know exciting times are ahead!!! I know the next few months are gonna be GREAT!!! I can't wait. Dr Rahal is so good people expect to see that at 4 months you have a full head of hair. I'm okay!! Every now and then a guy can use a word of encouragement!!! Ha

Anyway, I'll post pics again at 6 month. I can't wait. I'm in the FUN phase now. !

Thanks Spex!!!

I've done really good about staying out of the mirror till the last month or so. I'm just gonna tuck it away for another 3 months. It's gonna be a great result, I'm sure!!! Dr Rahal even called to check on me yesterday. What a great guy!! He looked at my pics and said I was right where I needed to be. That's good enough for me!!!

Not wise to compare your self to others as hair type plays a good hand in things, nhp comparing him self to him is particularly bad considering Jonny b had about the same amount of grafts just in his front and has grown his hair really long.

BonkerS I'm not inferring that he should expect JohnnyB's exact result or necessarily use it as a yardstick. Of course not.

I'm simply pointing out just one example (of MANY ) as to how much 3.5 months is extremley early days and how things can/ will improve dramatically from that point (to varying degrees obviously)

Good point Slickers... I dont get it when patients expect to see a great result in 4 months. IMO you should start seeing the difference from 6 months onwards and real results from 8-12 months. Johnny B was a great example, Patience is the key word however I dont buy the 18 months BS. I think by 12 months everyone will get the clear picture.

Hairiri

I was not expecting a great result at 4 months. Never, did I expect that!!! I've been around long enough to know that. I was simply saying that Dr Rahal has set the bar so high it's easy to get caught up in the early growth phenomenon. I'm extremely happy thus far. Just in the last 2 weeks I've had huge gains and I know I'm just starting!!!

I know I'm gonna have a great result. I couldn't have chosen a better surgeon for me. I know I've got some great growth ahead.
