Regular Member Dr. William Rassman Posted December 2, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted December 2, 2011 Before and after one procedure of 2000 grafts by Dr William Rassman of NHI Hi Everyone! This patient is a farily young Asian male who had noticed (as you can see) that he was having a definite hair loss problem that needed quick and expert attention. Together with Dr Rassman, they determined the look that he was going for, his price range, and what can be accomplished. We always love to have our patients involved in the process, not only because it's their head that they have to live with, but it also helps us understand the motivations of our patients better so we can continually change our policies and tactics to meet the needs of our patients. I really wish this patient had signed a full face disclosure form, because it's truly amazing how much younger he looks. But even with just a hairline up view, you can see a definite difference, and the patient is truly happy with his looks, mubh more so than in the past. The other reason he had such a successful HT is because he came to us before the problem became much worse. Always a good idea! Senior Member mars Posted December 3, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted December 3, 2011 why bother getting a ht to end up with that density makes no sense.
Senior Member alix Posted December 5, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted December 5, 2011 why bother getting a ht to end up with that density makes no sense. I agree, unless another follow up was planned,I find this transplant pointless. density is very low and the work looks incomplete.I wouldn't be happy at all. just my opinion.. Senior Member hairthere Posted December 5, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted December 5, 2011 Is this patient's hair wet or does it have gel in it? if that's the case then it would of course look much denser dry or with a styling paste. Most people, even those not subject to MPB, look thinner when wet or gelled. Senior Member aaron1234 Posted December 5, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted December 5, 2011 If anything Dr. Rassman is underselling these results by taking pictures of this patient with wet (or gelled) hair. Senior Member Janna Posted December 5, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted December 5, 2011 I agree with you Aaron, I think this is a beautiful result for 2000 grafts. With a young patient, you can't front load too many grafts to the front or you'll find there won't be enough donor for rest of the head. There's a big transformation and it's very natural. Great result. Senior Member hairthere Posted December 5, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted December 5, 2011 For the record, I think this guy looks great and I think there's a lot of members (even you naysayers) who would probably be happy with his hair. I also think this is the reality of HTs: they will NEVER give you the same density you once had, so sometimes you have to adapt. That might mean wearing a certain hairstyle, or a styling product other than gel. This guy obviously isn't bothered by a slight thinning look, and I think the HT frames his face nicely. He also has the option of adding more density when he and his doctor feel it's appropriate.
