Senior Member Spanker Posted May 25, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted May 25, 2011 That is pretty packed in there! The count is pretty high for the area covered but the patient seems old enoungh to handle it. He should get an excellent result! Senior Member bonkerstonker Posted May 26, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted May 26, 2011 As usual this is outstanding but as i've said before it's a lot of grafts in a small area i hope he has lots of donor spare. Senior Member Cant decide Posted May 26, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted May 26, 2011 Matt - This is of course a great result. The hairline is very dense and natural. One should expect that with the number of grafts and this patients characteristics. It does show how good Rahal is at hairlines. I do think that it would be better however, for more results of Rahal patients be posted which start with extensive hair loss. This will show how well rounded Dr. Rahal is. I know firsthand what he can do for someone like me who started as NW 5 but for those who are doing their research for the first time, it would help if all types of patients results be posted and not just those where a huge about of grafts are placed in a relatively small area. Not saying these don’t have their place because they do indeed and should be posted. Just saying other types of results should be posted as well. I have seen some of the type I am referring to posted but it seems most of the Rahal results posted by the clinic are these types of results. I could be wrong and it may just be my impression as I did not do a formal count My Hairloss Web Site - Procedure #1: 5229 Grafts with Dr. Rahal Oct, 2010 Procedure #2: 2642 Grafts with Dr. Rahal Aug, 2013 7871 Grafts http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2452

Senior Member mattj Posted May 26, 2011 Author Senior Member Share Posted May 26, 2011 The patient is 36 with no family history of hairloss, and has lots of donor, which led to 3693 grafts when he was scheduled for 3000. Can't decide, we have some great results in the pipeline and the next we post will be of a patient starting with more advanced hairloss. I am a patient and representative of Dr Rahal. Guest Ian512017155
I swear Dr. Rahal must put some voodoo spell on his patients in order to have the grafts grow quicker and get all these great results, LOL I dont know what he is doing that other surgeons arent but its working!! Senior Member bonkerstonker Posted May 27, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted May 27, 2011 I swear Dr. Rahal must put some voodoo spell on his patients in order to have the grafts grow quicker and get all these great results, LOL I dont know what he is doing that other surgeons arent but its working!! I agree he does make hair grow faster than anyone else but if think it is because he puts lot's of grafts into moderately small areas so he only needs a 50% or whatever to grow early giving a good early effect and when the other 50% grow later in the year it gives a amazing result that's why his hairlines are the best in the business now. Matt has confirmed above that this guy has plenty of donor so i suppose if you can afford it financialy if you were to drop down to a nw6 later in life you may as well plant heavy like this. I'm quite a cautious person so i don't think i'd plant so heavy my self but you never get anywhere in life being too cautious. Senior Member Anouar Posted May 27, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted May 27, 2011 (edited) Bonker, I had fast growth as well and my grafts were spread all the way to back. My front is not as thick as guys who load up the front but I still had fast growth. Senior Member Cant decide Posted May 27, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted May 27, 2011 One thing I can think of is that Dr. Rahal is adamant that the patient applying Rogain to the grafted areas starting one month post op. This may be contributing to the fast growth. I had pretty fast growth as well. I don't know then he definitely is doing something to make it grow fast but what I do not have a theory now. Minoxidil is standard most people use that so it can't be that.
