Regular Member Stingray Posted May 4, 2011 Author Regular Member Share Posted May 4, 2011 Lokkin good man. Can you see any affect from the prp on native hair? Levrais - to be honest I cannot tell. I feel my hair is looking good, especially for only 3 months, but I don't know if it is due to an improvement in native hair. Senior Member Albion71 Posted May 4, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted May 4, 2011 Looks fantastic. I had a consultation with Dr Bisanga and didn't go with him, but now kind of wishing I had... Regular Member fightingbaldness Posted June 5, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted June 5, 2011 HEY JUST A QUICK QUESTION. oops sorry bout the caps lol. You say dr.Armani was a bad result so you went more conservative next time. Was it a bad result because you had a high amount of FUE transplanted which gives less chance of good growth?? And if you transplant less FUE theres more chance of a good result? Just wondering because i wanted a FUE megasession but might not now if theres less chance of good growth. Thanks. Regular Member Stingray Posted June 6, 2011 Author Regular Member Share Posted June 6, 2011 I don't know if there is a correlation in size of session and growth rates for FUE. However, I think it is very difficult for a doctor to do more than around 1500 or so FUE grafts in one day without risking damage to the grafts. If FUE is done carefully it is a slow laborious process for the docs and the techs and if you have too many grafts done it increases the chances of human error (either in transecting the grafts when they are extracted or damaging the grafts when they are being prepared and implanted) and it increases the amount of time that the grafts are out of the body. ----------------------------------------- 2425 FUE - Dr Armani - Nov 2007 (poor result) 1000 FUE Procedure with Dr. Bisanga - March 25th 2010 (great result) 1599 FUE Procedure with Dr. Bisanga - Feb 3rd 2011 My Hair Loss Website
Regular Member fightingbaldness Posted June 6, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted June 6, 2011 ok thankyou. so say if i had the money for 4000 FUE grafts. Is it possible for me to have them done say 1000 a day over 4 days in the same week?
Regular Member Stingray Posted June 6, 2011 Author Regular Member Share Posted June 6, 2011 I would think that you could probably do that amount safely over 3 days. Bear in mind that I am just a patient so best to talk your concerns through with the doctors you are considering. ----------------------------------------- 2425 FUE - Dr Armani - Nov 2007 (poor result) 1000 FUE Procedure with Dr. Bisanga - March 25th 2010 (great result) 1599 FUE Procedure with Dr. Bisanga - Feb 3rd 2011 My Hair Loss Website

Regular Member Stingray Posted July 1, 2011 Author Regular Member Share Posted July 1, 2011 (edited) Here are my MONTH 5 pics. I am absolutely delighted. In fact the other day I was on a date with a pretty hot 27 year old. We were chatting about this and that and somehow the topic of Wayne Rooney came up and she mentioned his hair transplant. She then said to me: "Stingray... How does a hairtransplant work?" Now I, like the rest of you, know exactly how a hairtransplant works. I knew what type of procedure he had, where he had it, when he can expect to see results and how much it cost. However, as I had only just met this girl and didn't want to get into a whole HT discussion I just said... "Ummm, I think they take hair from the back of your head and move it to the front" To which hot girls replies: "Well, I don't know why I am asking you, you have tons of hair" Needless to say I could not have been a happier bloke at that precise moment. Unfortunately, things didn't work out with the girl but it didn't matter. So here are my month 5 pics. The first 4 are dry. The 2nd 3 are wet. Senior Member TC17 Posted July 6, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted July 6, 2011 Great result! Did Dr. Armani provide any reason for why his transplant failed to grow? Clearly it wasn't "patient physiology", because Dr. Bisanga managed to do just fine with your physiology.
Regular Member Stingray Posted July 8, 2011 Author Regular Member Share Posted July 8, 2011 Thanks for the positive comments. Dr Armani did not give a reason why I had such a poor yield from my first HT. Personally, it is my opinion, that his extraction method is flawed. It is too quick and the power tool is damaging to the scalp and the follicles resulting in poor growth and scarring. This is my opinion. ----------------------------------------- 2425 FUE - Dr Armani - Nov 2007 (poor result) 1000 FUE Procedure with Dr. Bisanga - March 25th 2010 (great result) 1599 FUE Procedure with Dr. Bisanga - Feb 3rd 2011 My Hair Loss Website
Senior Member TC17 Posted July 8, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted July 8, 2011 That's possible. Dr. Feller is always remindful of the fact that FUE grafts undergo far more trauma than FUT, even when the doctor is very careful. Out of curiosity though, how densely were you packed by Dr. Armani, and how densely did Dr. Bisanga plant?
Regular Member Stingray Posted July 8, 2011 Author Regular Member Share Posted July 8, 2011 I don't know the precise density but both docs transplanted about 2500 grafts each in a similar area. Virtually all of Dr Bisanga's grew and only about 30% of Dr Armani's grew. ----------------------------------------- 2425 FUE - Dr Armani - Nov 2007 (poor result) 1000 FUE Procedure with Dr. Bisanga - March 25th 2010 (great result) 1599 FUE Procedure with Dr. Bisanga - Feb 3rd 2011 My Hair Loss Website
jessie1
Stingray, I'm slowly working my way through some Dr Bisanga cases and this one cropped up.... Sounds a little juvenille but the first word that popped into my head when i saw the result from your first surgery with Bisanga was 'WOW!'.... I am hoping to get a consultation with Dr Bisanga later this month. The Pics look amazing. The hairline looks dense, thick and strong. I underwent a 1000 FUE in September and there is absolutely no comparison. I appreciate that every case is different and each person has their own individual hair characteristics and physiology, but this is a fabulous result.... I am starting to regain my faith in FUE having seen fine examples like this. Can't wait to see updated pics of the second HT..... Stingray, two quick questions if I may 1) Were all these grafts singles? (first surgery with Bisanga) 2) Did Dr Bisanga plant FUE grafts into the same area Armani worked on? Having received 3 poor HTs to the hairline area I'm concerned whether FUE is the best choice for me in terms of yield, especially when considering that my next surgery (HT #4) will still require some work in the scar tissue from the previous 3 HTs. Keep us posted mate, Jessie1

To answer your questions: 1) All the grafts in my first HT with Dr Bisanga were not singles. The breakdown was as follows: 1 hair = 318 2 hair = 419 3 hair = 227 4 hair = 36 Total grafts = 1000 Total hairs = 1981 2) Dr Bisanga transplanted into the same area as Dr Armani during both HTs. He also went a little futher back on the 2nd HT to address the additional recession I had since my first HT with Dr Armani. ----------------------------------------- 2425 FUE - Dr Armani - Nov 2007 (poor result) 1000 FUE Procedure with Dr. Bisanga - March 25th 2010 (great result) 1599 FUE Procedure with Dr. Bisanga - Feb 3rd 2011 My Hair Loss Website

Jessie, the results from your 1000 graft fue and Stingray's 1000 graft fue don't really look that far off, do they? Btw, to be fair, the wet pics of Stingray are at 8.5 month's growth. Not sure what month Jessie's wet pics are, perhaps he can clarify.... Also, Jessie (according to Dr. Feller) experienced further native hairloss. One other fact to note is that Stingray started with grafts in his hairline that Armani "built" whereas Jessie's hairline was done from scratch. And Stingray.... looking really good my man! Glad to see you rebounded so nicely from your Armani debacle. Congrats! ***Pic 1 Jessie wet, pic 2 Stingray wet, pic 3 Jessie dry, pic 4 stingray dry Edited August 4, 2011 by hairthere I am the owner/operator of AHEAD INK a Scalp Micropigmentation Company in Fort Lee, New Jersey. www.aheadink.com
jessie1
Stingray, Excellent pics mate. The fact that you rarely think about your hair now is a success within itself. Sorry that my pics have appeared in your thread mate, I never intended for us to get off topic. This is all about you. Hairthere is respectfully welcome to PM me if he has an interest in my case. Stingray, I am slightly concerned about my donor area despite being told that it is excellent. I'm not too sure. Can I be awfully cheeky and have a peek of any donor area pics? If you don't want to publish these on the forum would you consider privately PMing these if poss? Also, another quick question on density. Any idea? Cheers mate, very impressed. Senior Member hairthere Posted August 4, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted August 4, 2011 Jessie, I'm not sure why I have to PM you about this. You were the one who brought your results into this thread. All I did was illustrate the point (with pictures) that in my opinion, yours and Stingray's are not so far off as you claim. Had you not brought it up then I would not have addressed it.... jessie1
Hairthere, Points taken in good spirit mate. Of course you don't have to PM me, I was merely trying to avoid taking us off track, mainly for Stingray's benefit. On reflection I can see why you felt the need to chip in. Let's both celebrate the fact that Stingray has achieved a successful result. I think we are both in agreement with that. Regards, Jessie
