Senior Member aaron1234 Posted January 3, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted January 3, 2011 Easily the BEST video documentation of a hair transplant I've ever seen. Very informative and detailed. Watched the entire thing. Thanks for posting this Joe! We need more of these from other clinics. I couldn't help but hear Dr. Wong say that your body hair transplant weren't so bad after all. Hmmmm.... . H&W adds FUE in 2011? Ponder that for a moment. Senior Member YouOnlyLiveOnce Posted January 3, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted January 3, 2011 Nice videos Joe! I remember seeing you getting transplanted when I was in for my wash. So do you guys think this is the last one for you? It would have been nice to hit the 10k mark!
Senior Member Jotronic Posted January 3, 2011 Author Senior Member Share Posted January 3, 2011 Aaron, Thanks for the props. What Dr. Wong didn't mention is that there were 87 attempts to pull a body hair, then 67 were deemed "worthy" of placement and of those 67 only 27 grew. So I have 87 little scars on my chest for 27 grafts growing in a 1.5 cm2 area on my crown, that no one sees:( This is a 40% yield of placed grafts. The good thing is that those little buggers are continuing to grow well and my body hair blends well with my head hair. Youonlyliveonce, This is probably the last one but if I can find a way to get to 10K, I will, muhahahha! Senior Member Jotronic Posted January 5, 2011 Author Senior Member Share Posted January 5, 2011 With my crown hair so short I thought I'd play around with Toppik to see how it would work with my current "style". I took these pics with my cell phone so forgive the lack of clarity. Check it... Senior Member aaron1234 Posted January 5, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted January 5, 2011 Lookin" good Joe. When I was a newbie, I thought guys that underwent multiple sessions didn't need concealers anymore. But now I see that is not really a matter of need, but it certainly can help! Senior Member HARIRI Posted January 15, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted January 15, 2011 Great Results Bro, Your cases encouraged me so much to believe in HT outcome. So hard to believe how much hair you restored through the years and operations. I guess that made you happier than ever and hope others could be the same as you. As you said, Its all about proper sized incisions to the size of the graft and using the blades.. Thanks for educating other patients. Jotronic is a very nice guy with kind attutude towards all patients, I wont be surprised if one day he would be a HT doctor. Dont worry about the crown, to me hairline and midscalp are more important. Crown can easily be hidden with the GREAT TOPPIK. lets just wait one day for Hair clonning so we have unlimited supply. Fingers crossed for Mid 2012 as stated from the labs working on it. Cheers buddy, you are all done and ready to go... Now the combat is left to us, Time to repair lol...Glad to chat with you last night. Senior Member HARIRI Posted February 26, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted February 26, 2011 I like you hairline Joe, Not so thick and not thin, very natural and beautiful.. Whats is the density of it after the previous hair transplants you had with Dr. Wong? Is it 50 FU/CM2 or more or less??? Senior Member Jotronic Posted February 27, 2011 Author Senior Member Share Posted February 27, 2011 RCWest, Trippin you out? How do you think it tripped me out??? For the first time in 20 years I had a full head of hair, LOL! Aaron, No, it's not a matter of need, more like "want" but I know better than to get hooked on this stuff. Adam, You're not on track man. Stick with preventative meds and you shouldn't need much more than you got. Remember, I had two by the time I was 22 and was almost a NW5 by the time I was your age. You're in much better shape than I was at your age, big time. Harriri, My hairline was measured at between 50 and 55 per cm2 a few years ago. Thanks for your comments. Senior Member Jotronic Posted March 22, 2011 Author Senior Member Share Posted March 22, 2011 So it's time to show the progress on my latest procedure. 5.5 months ago I had my 4th procedure with Dr. Wong. The goal was not as ambitious as the previous procedures. I wanted to add more consistency to the density of my whorl pattern in my crown. Dr. Wong never touched the bottom half of my crown whorl, only the top, so with shorter hair cuts I felt that the bottom half looked weaker compared to the top half. With longer hair this was not an issue. I also asked Dr. Wong during the procedure to hit a few small spots in my temple points and he did so beautifully. My temple points appear to have filled in and the outline is now seamless. If the improvements stopped here I'd be happy but the bottom half of my crown will continue to get thicker as I feel a lot of stubble under the longer hairs that have yet to reach a cosmetically significant length. Photos below show my hair four days after a hair cut. #2 guard was used on the bottom fringe and tapered out to a #3. I was also outside, mid-day (just an hour ago) with no flash. Senior Member Dutch Posted March 22, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted March 22, 2011 Joe, great photos and awesome videos, cheers for posting them. Question- the end of the scar on the sides of the head, why is the tip of the scar so high up with both Dr Hasson's & Dr Wong's work? Is this for mega sessions only and the doctors need to cut so high up? It just seems to me that the scar tips are in the 'danger zone' of the Norwood 6-7 area. Your comment will be much appreciated. Cheers & congrats on your fourth op. http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2329

Senior Member bonkerstonker Posted March 25, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted March 25, 2011 Just to confirm to you Dutch because obviously it's playing on your mind because I've seen you ask Joe that question twice I will explain what dr hasson told me yesterday to confirm what Joe is saying. Dr hasson saw I had retro grading and explained it to me and of course I was weary because we've always believed hair loss comes down but in fact it doesn't I can clearly see i have safe zone high up near top of my head and danger zone low in sides so my scar follows my extremely thick hair donor zone high up just finishing in a area I would of previously thought could of been dangerous for loss. Trust me mate dr hasson wouldn't go up there if he didn't know for sure it was safe for each patient and now he showed me and explained I'm glad he did because most other doctors would of extracted from a stereotypical safe zone which would of extracted my retrograde bad follicles that will shrink into my new ht. I hope this helps it's just about realising we're all different with regards to safe zones. Bonkerstonker! http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=1977 Update I'm now on 12200 Grafts, hair loss has been a thing of my past for years. Also I don't use minoxidil anymore I lost no hair coming off it. Reduced propecia to 1mg every other day. My surgeons were Dr Hasson x 4, Dr Wong x 2 Norton x1 I started losing my hair at 19 in 1999 I started using propecia and minoxidil in 2000 Had 7 hair transplants over 12200 grafts by way of strip but 700 were Fue From Norton in uk

Senior Member Jotronic Posted April 14, 2011 Author Senior Member Share Posted April 14, 2011 Here is my latest update. Pictures were taken 6 months and one week after my latest procedure. The bottom half of the crown whorl has thickened up a bit and I expect some more over the next few months. The temple point shape is also more defined now.
