for those of you on a buget.

my female friend went and had her hairline changed after a face lift, at this clinic in bangkok,

she said they were exellent.

im actually going there in september, to see them, im only gonna have a consultation, i go to thialand often for holidays so its not a problem for me....

but she was ever so pleased and they left no scars?.....

(promotional link removed)

i will also attach there price list...

The regular cost is 100 Baht/graft. Scaling discount for large number of grafts.

(Exchange rate is 1 USD = 31.5 Baht) but bear in mind that the exchange rate fluctuates daily.

For 500 grafts cost 50,000 Baht

1,000 grafts cost 94,000 Baht

1,500 grafts cost 132,000 Baht

2,000 grafts cost 164,000 Baht

2,500 grafts cost 189,000 Baht

3,000 grafts cost 210,000 Baht

Above 3,000 grafts cost 70 Baht per graft

The above cost include:-

- Doctor fee;

- All medication;

- All follow up in the immediate postoperative period including hair wash, wound care, change of dressing or removal of stitches if needed.

i dont know the exchange rate or anything, but they are really good at answering emails...

hope that helps.....you all.......

patchy, there are a number of places both in the US and around the world where you can get an HT for a "bargain". While there may be an occasional good or even great result, my personal opinion is that you can't leave something as important as this to chance, so I'd prefer going with a surgeon who has proven results.

Patchy,

If you're looking for the best, I'd hop on a plane to NYC, Minnesota, Virginia, Canada, etc. No offense, but I think there's only one clinic in the UK doing good quality work and that's Farjo.

Personally, if I were you I'd go see Dr. Feller in NYC and get him to stick 200 - 300 FUE into that scar. If you P.M. Spex they'll give you a recommendation. On his website, it says they do a "lunchtime special" FUE of 200 grafts for $2,000. I think you would be very unwise to not at least talk to him.

Patchy,

Though affordability is certainly a concern for patients, it really needs to be one of the last concerns in selecting a surgeon.

Cost is not necessarily an indication of the quality of work a surgeon performs, but selecting a surgeon should always be based on consistency of quality results.

If your female friend had a hair transplant with this physician, I encourage you to ask her to post her before and after pictures on this forum. I'll be happy to help her block out her face if she's camera shy icon_wink.gif.

Best wishes,

Bill

Money is a factor for many but I personally wouldnt want to make that the only factor and go somewhere like Thailand. Canada and the USA seem to have many of the best doctors. I dont think I would want to play around with a HT

Patchy, there have been gazillion threads about "The Best Doc"....its all subjective. What you have to look for is CONSISTENCY. Look at many before/during/after photos. Some doctors actually provide videos. Hasson & Wong, Feller, Shapiro etc.

But I will give you my list of Docs that I would go to with my eyes closed:

Dr. Feller

Dr. Alexander

Drs. Hasson & Wang

Dr. Shapiro

just to name a few. It essentially will come down to how comfortable you will be with each one of them.

All the best.

I had a hair transplant in Bangkok a month ago. It was less expensive than if I were to go to Canada or the US. I am actually a Canadian, but I am currently living in Asia.

I believe that I went to an absolutely amazing doctor who comes in high regards internationally. I had to book three months in advace, as he has a very good reputation. I am only a month into HT, but I am thrilled with the results that I have had to this point.

I went to Dr. Damerkerng Pathomivich check him out. He is mentioned on forums with great feedback, I also read in here that he was asked to join the coalition, but wanted to update his websites first.

You should have a good experience with this Dr. I did.

Guest josh - b

Patchy,

The clinic your friend went to is dr pathomvanichs clinic. The weblink you posted isn't his website, its just a promotional page link on a bangkok dental website.Do a google search and his website will come up.

As for dr pathomvanich himself, he is a highly regarded surgeon. The reason your friend got a good result is because she went to a quality doctor.

Believe it or not there are good doctors outside of north america icon_smile.gif

DUDE-- do not do anything with your physical appearance based on a bargin! If you dont have the money-wait and save it. Its better than getting botched! Also a facelift is completely different than a HT. On a facelift they actually cut at the hairline, then remove a strip of skin, then stretch and reattach-- thus the hairline might be lower. Unless you want a facelift, your hairline/HT surgery would be graft placment---if done by doctor who knows what they are doing.

Please rethink this decision.

Hi,

Oh well it looks like I'm going to regret my HT with DHT Clinic for the rest of my life :(. Seriously though I had my HT in mid august 2010 and everything is going along really well. The doctors were professional and so were the assistants.

Doctor Path has consistent good results. I travelled from Australia and I'm unaware of any doctor who is recommended from my country.

Regards

Rod

many countries are cheaper due to exchange rate conversion and cost of living. It

has nothing to do with the quality of treatment.

i am in India and have lived in US for many, many years. I get better, personalized

treatment in less time than i would take to reach a live voice with an Insurance company

in the US, and for far less. Granted US would be better if I needed to see a super-specialist for a serious illness.

But one has to do his background research ,and know his way around in such countries.
