Does anyone have pics or info of using concealers post op to conceal for going back to work or just in general?

I know I will need to be using concealers post op and want to hear others' experiences of doing so.

Current Regimen:

.5mg Fin ED

Minox 2x daily

Nizoral 1% 2-3 times a week

Fish Oil capsules w/ Omega-3

Sorry if they're not qualified as concealers, but they do conceal icon_biggrin.gif I wouldn't want anything to be noticed post-op, or that I even had an op in the first place. So how about the use of a hat or a bandanna when appearing publicly? I would be able to stay indoors for months post-op, but would like to get outta the house every once in a while (once or twice per week) for a few hours (6-8h). I would prefer a wide but thin head-bandanna through which the skin can "breathe" a bit, but I'm worried it could put a strain on the transplanted follicles since it's kinda tied tight with the scalp itself (of course not too tight so there's no blood flow).

So is it possible to wear a bandanna (or at least a hat) in public (once or twice a week, for 6-8h each time) and are there any additional pointers to that?

I started with the concealers (dermmatch and toppik) about two weeks post-op when I had to (i.e. days I couldn't wear a loose fitting cap). They were my saving grace throughout the entire waiting period. And I still use them.

flatline -

The few times that I went/go out after my op (and I'm just now 2 weeks out) I used a bandana for the first 11 days and didn't put a hat on til the 11th day or so (from my understanding it seems like the 10th day is the point that the grafts are pretty much locked in for good). However, my doc essentially said that I could wear a hat out of the surgery center as long as it was loose fitting but I just didn't wanna risk anything so I didn't...because if you think about it, a tight hat is too tight around the temples and hairline region and a loose hat just sort of sits on the entire recipient area..which I didn't like either of those options. The bandana seemed to work really well though and I didn't/haven't had any problems with it. I never tied it too tight though and when I would take it off I would just untie it from the back and sort of let it fall off. Hope this helps!

@HairIsThere

It sure helps, thank you. I probably will not leave the house for the first 4-5 weeks post-op, and was wondering about the bandanna after that period, so I'm damn happy I won't have to appear in public looking "obvious" :/ Thanks again!
