  1. Indeed, it appears there's nothing concrete on stem cell transplant. What is your opinion on Dr.Bisanga from Belgium? I've read in a few places that he's one of the top in the world for FUE?
  2. I've been reading about this in various places, some arguably reputable ones, and I've been wondering if stem cell hair transplant is doable and effective? My scalp and head shape might be such that the donor area on the back of my head wouldn't be sufficient for 1-3 decent FUE procedures over a course of time to cover the area that needs covering. Whereas, as far as I understand, with stem cells they can "multiply" them and thereby increase yields. Thank you for any input! EDIT: Here's a recent interesting article from February 2021 https://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2021/02/14/national/hair-loss-researchers/
  3. I believe I already know the answer to this question, but I'll go ahead and ask anyway. Is donation of hair possible for either FUT or FUE methods, from close blood relatives (mother, father, sister, brother...) Can some tests be made to determine this?

  5. @HairIsThere It sure helps, thank you. I probably will not leave the house for the first 4-5 weeks post-op, and was wondering about the bandanna after that period, so I'm damn happy I won't have to appear in public looking "obvious" Thanks again!
  6. Sorry if they're not qualified as concealers, but they do conceal I wouldn't want anything to be noticed post-op, or that I even had an op in the first place. So how about the use of a hat or a bandanna when appearing publicly? I would be able to stay indoors for months post-op, but would like to get outta the house every once in a while (once or twice per week) for a few hours (6-8h). I would prefer a wide but thin head-bandanna through which the skin can "breathe" a bit, but I'm worried it could put a strain on the transplanted follicles since it's kinda tied tight with the scalp itself (of course not too tight so there's no blood flow). So is it possible to wear a bandanna (or at least a hat) in public (once or twice a week, for 6-8h each time) and are there any additional pointers to that?
  7. Thank you very much for your answers. I've looked for DHI on this forum and I pretty much get the picture. Should've done it before posting the question As for pics, no probs. I still did not schedule anything with Dr. Devroye, but I will most likely do so by the end of the year (bloody work ).
  8. Not long ago I bumped into their website It appears the clinic is based in Athens, Greece but has branches in several other countries. Now, the reason I'm curious about what other people think around here about DHI is because they claim to have the "most advanced technique of hair restoration to date" that is "far superior to traditional techniques like strip or FUE" (these are quotes from their website). Their pricing is not specified All in all, I've checked out their website completely so I won't go on about it, but would like a second opinion from anyone here that's willing to check it out as well. What do you think about DHI? Also, so far I'm planning to do my surgery at Dr. Devroye's clinic in Brussels, and I'm also interested how would you compare the two?
