  1. Good luck Burf........this time next year there will be a old friend starring back in the mirror.
  2. Good luck to you fella, you will be in capable hands and you have every right to feel the outcome will be the WOW you describe.
  3. This time next year you will be struggling to see through that jungle like fringe you will be sporting!
  4. Im sure whoever took the shots and made the movie probably used some digital jiggarapokerry to give Vin that filled in look. Vin Diesel definitely is getting a bit thin on top but hes got that chiseled look and buff bod that can carry it off.
  5. It could be that some genetic degree of loss is built into a person. Im keeping my fingers and toes crossed that in my own case ill stay on the light side.
  6. No plans at this moment.....but would never say never. Ive got a young family and all the expense that comes with it I guess im lucky with my lot really when you read of some of the more aggressive loss stories on this forum. One other note of interest ..i have a twin brother who has lost all his hair(norwood 6),a good 10 years ago. I think loss whether its fast or slow is in the cards your dealt, even amongst siblings.
  7. Nothing like having a celebrity to advertise how great your services are. You are wise to be cautious.
  8. Where do you think you were on the norwood scale Hammy when you began with the treatment. Also are you using a generic form of the drug?
  9. I personally started to loose hair when i was 19...im now knocking on the door of 40. I would guesstimate i,m in the region Of a 3v to 4 on the norwood scale. I would say my own experience has been quite a gradual amount of loss up until about 3 years ago when it seemed to increase to where it is at this present time. So i hope when i pass 40 this might put the skids on it.......heres hopping although i wont be holding my breath
  10. The recognized big 3 for hair loss are Finasteride(Propecia), Minoxidil and to a lesser degree Nizoral shampoo. If you decide to try them you will need to stick with it for at least a year to gauge any effect. I think Provillus would be a waste of time and money......only my opinion of course .
  11. nice to hear your one happy camper marc.
  12. Sure u could. But why would u want to? The system of the drug delivery is the difference between the two. At the end of the day its Minoxidil. Save your pennies and choose one and give it a try for six months then evaluate.
  13. Pretty much all hair meds if results are seen, do seem to have a more positive effect at the crown. That does not mean that they do not work at the frontal region. You simply have to try (at least six months) and see what happens.
  14. If ever there was a good example for catching Hair Loss early on with the use of meds then this is it. Good for you Jupiter, your obviously having positive effects with your regime. Just don't get lazy and keep on doing what your doing.
  15. If it were me i would save the cash ,get on the meds which seem to have far greater effect on the early stages of hair loss.
  16. In a word NO. The only Hairloss meds that are currently FDA approved are Finasteride and Minoxidil. Both of which,if have any positive effect, need to be taken for as long as you wish to maintain the effect. Unfortunately certain individuals will experience some side effects.
  17. You just have to look at who is advertising what on TV ,posters etc aimed at men, to see celebs and non celebs with full heads of hair. I would imagine this has to do with as much positive advertising for their product as possible. White smiles ,chiseled good looks and low and behold full heads of hair go a long way to sell products to the masses. Historically it has always been the case that the ideal is projected rather than unfortunately the reality.
  18. Yeh i agree with you, he looks like his characteristics would work in his favor. Still kudos to him for remaining o,natural.
  19. Multi vitamins are worth considering from a overall health consideration, but as far as hair growth is concerned its a no no. I know guys who take no exercise ,have a crap diet and smoke twenty a day and still have full heads of hair.
  20. The big 3 hairloss treatments are : Finasteride/medication Minoxidil/medicaton Nizoral/shampoo These are listed in order of potential effectiveness. Generally the rule of thumb is to use as early as possible when you first notice hairloss. Try to use all three,to cover all angles, and give them at least a year to gauge if they are working.
  21. I think there are two schools of thought on this one. A. The follicle does die. B. the follicle does indeed miniaturize and still produces hair of a sort in the form of Peach Fuzz.
