  4. .....had the balls to have a grade #1 buzz cut, I actually kinda like it and I haven't lost as much hair as I initially thought which is pleasing. I don't know about you guys but in the past I've been very reluctant to shave my head as I was really worried about the way it would look, plus I didn't know if I had a weird shaped head. I've asked a few close friends, who were initially shocked because I had previously had fairly long hair, but all of them said they liked it and it suited me. Anyways, I've been on Propecia for two years now and would like to keep what I've got and maybe even regrow some hairs by combining my current meds with Rogaine foam. I've never used Rogaine foam before and I just wanted to ask a few questions about it. I've read on this forum that a lot of people apply the foam all over their head and not just the vortex as suggested in the instructions. So should I apply all over my head and if so do I need to increase the amount I use? Will I shed hair when I start applying it? How will I know if it's working? When do I apply it? After washing my hair when it's still wet or when it's dry? When the foam dry's does it leave any powdery substance on the scalp or does it adsorb into the scalp? I would be grateful if you can help me, many thanks in advance. P.S. Wheres the best / cheapest place to buy MSM in the UK? I've heard it aids hair growth and gives hair the essential vitamins it needs.

  8. Yeah I've often wondered about where to apply rogaine. Reading the instructions it says it should only be applied on the crown area. I've also heard that if you use rogaine all over your head your hairs become dependent on it. is this true? Should I be applying it over? Is it like a drug for the hairs? I hope someone can help, thanks.
  9. Thanks guys for all your help, hopefully I'll meet up with a people soon.
  10. London Lad, I have to say you look great, I'm really pleased for you. I cant wait to see your results in 6 months, please keep us updated.
  11. Hi Guys I'm 95% sure I'm gonna get my HT done at Hasson & Wong. The only thing I havent done yet is actually meet someone in the flesh who's had the procedure done by them. I would say looking at the Norwood scale I'm a 3V. I'm looking to meet up with someone in the UK who was at a similar scale before having a hair transplant with H&W. If theres anyone in the UK willing to meet up please let me know, thanks.
  12. wow only 6 months!!! Looking good Prophet and a great job by Dr Hasson. Just out of interest, how many grafts / hairs were placed per cm2?
  13. Hi Donna I'm sorry to hear what you are going through at the moment. I was reading your post and something you said struck a chord with me. I've also tried to avoid the dating scene for about 4 years now. If I go out on a date all I think is their looking at my great big balding head and so I become really uncomfortable. This intern affects my personality and they don't get to know the real me. I've always been highly sensitive about my looks and losing my hair has sent my confidence on a downwards spiral. I'm in my late 20's and all my friends have full thick heads of hair which doesn't help. Males really don't have any tact when it comes to hair loss; I get the bald jokes every time I'm around them and it does affect me. I just think to myself give it 10 years and see how you like it. I bet the jokes will stop when we're all approaching middle age and there are a few more receding hairlines in our group. I'm sorry to babble on, I suppose what I'm trying to say is I know what you're going through and every male goes through it but there just to ??manly' to talk about it. I know its different for females as a high percentage of women dont experience hair loss but all is not lost. Dont give up hope, you can rectify your current situation. From what I have seen of Dr Jerry Wong's work on this forum I can only say great things. Maybe contact him again and see what he thinks, he really is excellent at what he does. Anyway best of luck, receding_reguard.
  14. Hi London_lad If you could let me know when the next meeting is that would be great. Thanks for your help and thanks to kamin and nobuzz4me for their input.
  15. Hi, this is my first post, I'm considering getting a HT and at the moment Hasson & Wong are one of my top choices. I live in the UK and I was wondering if there's anyone who would like to meet / chat about there experience with H&W. From what I have researched it's very important to meet past patients before making a final decision. Also does anyone know if H&W hold UK conferences or consultations, if so can someone let me know when it is. Thanks Guys
