  1. hiya,do a google search for whoopsweb im sure he had about 5 proceedures of which one im sure was fue into the scar.its a good site with lots of pics.
  2. congrats johnm, you should have a nice result in the coming months.my only concern is that your scar seems very high.is it just me?comments anyone?
  3. Bill, this was what i was thinking aswell.rem have you noticed any thing visually ie hairline receeding or hair becoming more see through?if i remember rightly(v long time ago)i noticed my hair became see through at the temples it was then i noticed hair coming out in bath etc.definatly go to docs though sounds like you got some sort of scalp malfunction.
  4. hrv,imo i think it is crucial to have a face to face with the surgeon before deciding, lets face it this man is going to cut a chunk of your head away, put a couple of thousand holes on the opposite side then charge you a small fortune for the pleasure i think you need to get a personal feel from the person as well as his working enviroment which you definatly wont get online.
  5. Bill, you forgot farjo, dont make me come over there! seriously though hrv, have you considered farjo?they are only a short trip up to manchester and hold consultations in london.had mine there in 06 and i am pleased with my results.
  6. hi dopey,i understand what you are going trough i was same age and norwood but waited till i was 35 to get ht.if you can wait 10 years i understand there are exciting things around the corner, cloning etc.if you cant, take a look at my pics(balodys pics) i had 2300 grafts, double the amount you will have, and while happy with my hair i think i just about get away with it "density wise".you will only get half of this result.whatever you choose to do i wish you well.
  7. hi grace, what are your plans for the future after you graduate?are you looking to get into the surgery side of things?also try not to make to much notice of the things posted on here,i came up against the same sort of crap about farjo when i first came on here now he is being considered for the coalition.go figure i think is the term you use
  8. galboon,if your not up for the journey to the states have you looked into farjo of manchester?he is now recommended on this site since pats visit earlier in the year.his work is of a very high standard i can vouch for that, not sure if he does fue though.
  9. congrats craven and hts,the sooner they shed the sooner they will be back!
  10. welcome back mate!ive missed the moustache and pipe
  11. hi andy, only just realised you PMed me and have replied sorry
  12. sett, for what its worth i came straight out of my surgery and was so hyped i went shopping in manchester and then into an italian resturant for a meal.i got some funny looks especially from the waiters then i caught myself in a mirror the top of my head was shiny blood red!still i didnt care the hair was in its rightful place.nothing to worry about mate, good luck
  13. andyh,as i mentioned on your other thread i have been under farjo and i am pleased with my results.i believe them to be the best in the uk as does pat, i think as he is recommending them for the coalition.i strongly urge you to go for a consult, meet him and mick(patient coordinator)check out the premises see some patient photos etc.i am sure you will be impressed as i was, and being based in manchester this has got to be a plus.
  14. hi andy,i had work done by the farjos in 2006 v pleased with results.pat is recommending them for the coalition i think.
  15. doh!just read post again pics coming soon
  16. craven,i suspect your wife prefers the before pics because if you are photoshopping these (lets face it)hunks you are turning these familiar faces bald in an instant, making them instantly unfamiliar if that makes sense? btw did you knw mat mcconaughy reportedly had a ht?look at his mugshots
  17. craven, would you care to ellaborate on why you think it is a drawback to be bald in the u.s?is it because there are no role models who are bald? when i think of american bald men i often think of figures of fun like homer, george from seinfield and the like, there never seem to be bald heroic men.maybe(hopfully)bruce could be the turning point? as for the poking fun i had this from age 18 until now.there is not a single day goes by that my hairloss(and lately my hairgrowth!)doesnt get mentioned in a jokey way,but i learned early on to joke along with them, laugh about my hairloss and i guess thats how ive got by.
  18. hi kelvin, just viewed pats pics of the clinic.cannot for the life of me understand why you would want to leave the rain drenched uk for that!especially pic #10
  19. hi gazza, sean connery i think only wore pieces for his roles, but he is the typical brit celeb im talking about alongside your jason stathams, ross kemps, jimmy nesbits that bloke pickard(startrek)cant recall his name.anyway all voted at one time or another sexy bald men, and if i had time i could probably think of 10 to 20 more.now you try and name me some u.s.celebs who are considered bald and sexy. please dont say vin diesil as im sure he has hair but chooses to go bald as do alot of black and mixed race guys.
  20. craven,i feel for you mate and good luck for what must of seemed an impossibility for a long time. ive read alot of stories simular to yours over the few years ive been looking on this site and it strikes me that american guys(im assuming you are one)have a hard time accepting their baldness compared to us brits.i started losing my hair rapidly at 18 natually i was devastated.i tried rogain for a year, sent off for system brochures looked into a ht etc,in the end i thought "fuck it"and buzzed it very short.i never wore a cap as i felt this was like lying to myself as well as others.at the time there were many british male celebs and sportsman who were embracing their baldness and i think this helped alot throughout the 90s. what im trying to get at and this is to all the american folk on here is, do you not think if more american celebs embraced their baldness with the exception of one(mr willis)it would be easier for young american males to except their on situation?for example look at travolta, shatner, cage, stallone, danson, affleck(apparently)i could go on,every one knows these men are bald but they insist on trying to disguise it.compare this to the one wig wearer from britain that i can think of (elton)and you can see there seems to be a whole different attitude towards hairloss over here to over there.maybe if more u.s. celebs were to lose their pieces and buzz short there would be less talk of permenant hat wearing and definatly less talk of suicide american guys your thoughts on this please.
  21. dr bessam farjo, board governer and medical director of the institute of trichologists, founder member of the trichological society.based in harley street london and manchester.if you cant get to him im sure he can recommend a good one.hope this helps.
  22. pat,let me be the first to applaud your recomendations of these 3 clinics, especially farjo who in my opinion has had an undeserved bad rap over the years.it is very refreshing to read such unbiased reports as yours.i hope maybe other uk and european surgeons can follow this lead and not limit residents this side of the water to the u.s.and canada.i also hope members on this board can put their reservations to bed now concerning drs farjo, somehow i doubt it onward and upward!
