  1. That Mayer and Fleming are creeps in my opinion and should not be allowed practice their flap procedure or medicine. Ive seen them respond on hair transplant blogs online where people where asking for geniune advice on yield after having a HT . They reply bad mouting FUT / FUE yields and start asking the poster to 'why not try our flap at a fraction of the cost'. WTF. Downright Disgusting behaviour in my book. That is an awful barbaric procedure in which people can look like a train wreck 10 years down the line. Successful cases are the exception and definitly not the rule.
  2. I dont agree with 70% but you should be seeing a decent amount of growth at this stage. But its not an exact science and everyone is different. It could really shoot off in a month or so. Must wait 12 months to evaluate your procedure. Its likely however you will need a further procedure. I would evaluate your options and look at a recommended Dr to sort you out.
  3. Looks great Levaris. Very dense look overall. Crown is looking real good. Dont see too much thinning there.
  4. I got fitted with a loose relatively stylish black bandana which did the job nicely for the first few weeks.
  5. Fingers crossed dude it comes back for you stronger. However not enough people point out it can trigger an awful shed which may or not recover. It triggered a shed in my hairline which never recovered. I went from not having to having to use concealer in a matter of weeks.
  6. Great post Mickey. Good informative information that will help the newbie. All I dont see the point myself doing 'splitting hairs' over technical aspects re pictures etc. Every patient will be different with different characteristics. This post will be definitly be useful to give people new to the industry an initial general awareness of the landscape.
  7. I really dont understand the amount of posts i see with people 'worried at 3/4/6 months.' Surely if someone has taken even the most basic of reseach they will be aware the process is only starting then and they must wait till 12 months. Where has this belief come from they should be showing huge yield at this stage.
  8. I would FUE in to the scar. Ive seen some excellent results from this. Just to clarify prior to your most recent surgery how many grafts did you have in the hairline area? The last pics it dosent look there is a lot of hair there. The hair behind does look solid enough. Hopefully that stays put. And your latest surgery hopefully sorts the hairline area. Im wondering did you perhaps transplant in to areas where there was native hair and it then fell out and left is what we see? Or did you have grafts spread over your mid scalp area too? Its very hard to see 2-3 thousand grafts in your hairline area to be honest. Its way less.
  9. Hey NAtive remedies. How is your situation now? Did any more growth come in?
  10. This timeline gets banded around a bit as a growth timeline and i pretty much agree with it from experience and what ive seen around. Still got a way to go. Can expect more growth and more importantly maturing of all hair thats transplanted. The hair shafts becoming thicker and more course and changing colour. Thus reducing scalp visibility. Additionaly hair groups first appear as 1's then grow in 2's, 3's,4's. Hopefully you had good group figures. 3 months - 10% 4 months - 25% 5 months - 40% 6 months - 60% 7 months - 70% 8 months - 75% 9 months - 80% 10 months - 90% 11 months - 95% 12 months - 98% 18 months - 100%
  11. Cheers. Few months back. Yeah had some issues with another clinic. But in the end i took another chance and went with Dr Bisanga. Your probably right that its not the norm alright across the board. But i have to say a hall mark of Dr B does seem to be a superior looking donor area shaved down. I've viewed a lot of his FUE patients and you cant see evidence of surgery on the donor to the untrained eye whilst buzzed down tight.
  12. FUE in the right hands can provide FUT-esque yield. That myth has been expelled. I shave down regulary to 1mm (can go unguarded too) with no visible signs of any surgery after 3000 FUE. Its exactly the reason i went it as i like the option of keeping short. I dont know what was said between Dr and patient and if that quote is out of context. However if its not out of context the Dr is wrong and misleading in my opinion.
  13. Enrique does still have hair but you must not have seen the recent games matt?!
  14. Guys . Forget about the HT totally till 6 months. They way you are going already you will drive yourself nuts.
  15. Cant figure out if Keown is using concealer or a HT. He had isolated loss at the front. Beckham i think had something done. He was thinning a lot. Could be meds tho. Jamie Foxx has had some ridiculous obvious work done and lowered the hairline too much. Obviously went strip, he had a tattoo on the back of his head to disguise the scar. Never suspected Andre but as vain as they come so he would surely not think twice.
  16. i notice Jose enrique full back from Liverpool has had a wig fitted in the last couple of weeks. Must have went to advanced hair studio? Funny thing is mainstream media have not picked up on it yet. They will surely have a field day when they get wind of it. I thought Zola had a piece.? Apparently the ex Italy footballer now Juventus coach Antonio Conti had a lot of work done and his hair looks really good to be fair. Although there is speculation he wears a piece. Souness is wearing a piece 100%. Good one though.
  17. i know someone in the UK music industry who heard it from a good source that Chris Martin (Coldplay) , Bono and George Michael have all had HT's done. I think Bono is very well known around the web he had one done. But the other two i did not know untl told. Looking at some of Chris Martins photos though i think you can see a big improvement in recent years as he was quite thin and receding. Its also enabled him to grow it out a tad.
  18. I had no regrowth whatsoever on finasteride. And im glad i didnt as it was an easy decision to drop it especially due to the side effects it caused. It also induced a massive hair line shed which never recovered when i started it. And i dont believe we are an 'unlucky minority' but in fact a sizeable group of (former) / finasteride users.
  19. Good clinic will transplant over the old crappy hair that will obviously be lost eventually.
  20. In years of extensive hair loss research on the net i have never ever heard of these symptoms from anyone using topical minox. I would be interested to see some links to clinical studies backing up the above made claims. The only thing ive ever read on the subject is the above symptoms can be caused by oral ingestion of minox when it was an earlier treatment to treat high blood pressure. The topical application apparently is just nowhere near enough to get in to the body in order to casue these sides. Then again you could be unlucky and be in a very small % with a severe intolerance to even topical minox. Everyone is different i suppose.
  21. Good man Rob. Stupendous result to be fair. You have done a really good job documenting too. Its also good to hear you are still seeing hairs coming through at month 9/10. You are not on finasteride either right? I think its a perfect case of the non need for finasteride. People seem to think its a must to pop finasteride when undertaking a HT. However people with isolated receding or loss areas there's no way its mandatory. Not everyone goes to top norwood level by a long shot and by intelligenting deciphering minturisation and the loss areas, HT's can restore coverage greatly without the need for Finasteride. Lots of people have solid zones 2/3 but are just affected by loss in the hairline area. As a matter of interest if you did decide on procedure 2, would you go back to the same clinic in Turkey or would you consider another clinic.?
  22. No probs. I will say it took me a good year to feel really back to my pre Fin self so hang in there. Ive had some people in the industry recommend Saw palmetto to me as they couldnt tolerate finasteride. However in my book its still a DHT blocker albeit milder non chemical so could cause sides. Could be worth trying tho. Get taking the minox foam too to help matters. Helped me. Yeah it makes sense, Docs will recommend Fin particualry in a younger patient whose loss has not progressed fully. However its not an exact science and everyone is different and by inspecting for minutarisation in the native hair it can be fairly well judged if a loss pattern will progress in the short to medium term . Therefore a HT will be designed taking this in to account. There are some people though who will have loss isolated to one area and decent hair the rest of their scalp. They dont need fin in my opinion and a HT to hit the affected area will sort them out. Granted they may need HT2 a few years down the line. However most people will Fin or no Fin. And a Better option that no libido for sure.! I would give it 12 months if i were you , see where your loss goes as if you are not taking fin you will have lost any gains in that period. You can then see clearly where you need to fix up in your next op. And assess any other minutarisation if present. When i ditched fin I had a shed in the hairline frontal zone which was shitty hair anyway on its way out. I will also add when i started Fin it induced a massive hairline shed which NEVER recovered. I went from not having to having to use concealer in a matter of weeks. I definitly wish i never bothered. Good luck.
  23. Guys, dont waste your money on the overpriced 'locking mist'. Its a fancy repackage of hair spray. Any kind of hair spray will do. I used Nanogen for years with regular old hair spray with great results.
  24. 21 - Any update on your symptoms? Have you had the results of all your blood work? Evergreeen - its a tough one. I too was on it for over 3 years before side effects kicked in. (I had had mild sides like less/watery semen since more or less the beginning). However all Dr's will tell you to discontinue it until you are at least back to normal and then cutting down dose. It's up to you but i ditched it totally. There is Saw Palmetto but that is also a DHT blocker and theres not a lot of studies on it . However i think the natural route always to be better so could be worth trying. If i were you, id hit strong the Minox & delay the 2nd op to see where your loss goes in 12 months and hopefully stabilises. Then hit it with HT 2 to fix it up. Fin will have no effect on transplanted hair as it should be DHT resistant. What grows in will stay regardless.
  25. Occiptal nerve damage is what it is from the injections. Ride it out with painkillers. Should subside in 7-10 days. Gets worse at night for some reason.
