  1. Yes, it is more probable that Minoxidil caused it. Or the combination of both. I remember having that side-effect.
  2. The link only showed a diagram of the hair follicules and skin layers, I have no idea why it was deleted by the moderator. Anyway, it was responding your question of whether when you pull one hair out with their follicules, would it regrow? The answer is generally: Yes.
  3. Of course the regimen I currently follow is much less effective, but still better than trying nothing. Oh, I almost forgot, I also apply egg yolk to my hair with one spoon of olive oil, aloe vera gel and half coffee spoon of cinnamon. It dries out and then I wash it out so as to add silkiness to the body of the hair.
  4. I use Biotin shampoo and also ingest it in capsules and it nourishes the hairs, but as pointed out before, does not stop DHT from its aging action.
  5. To me it is never. I had an allergy that caused redness in my knuckles.
  6. If you are experiencing noticeable side-effects and are still not convinced to stop the medication, you need a psychologist.
  7. The following will help you understand what I previously wrote better: (Link removed by moderator)
  8. Duckie, hair does not fall permanently unless the dermal papillae is damaged. The bulb contains these cells so that they can produce stronger, longer hairs. Damaged or mutilated dermal papillae will cause permanent hair loss. If you pull one hair through force, you will notice a yellowish substance at the bottom, that is the follicule but not the dermal papillae, which will make the whole mature hair to grow within 3 months or so.
  9. Your hair is still looking great even after 9 months without finasteride regimen.
  10. The worst thing is to do nothing. Quite clearly you are taking action. Visit the doctor regularly to check your blood if you are taking Propecia or generic Finasteride.
  11. I guess you are lucky not feeling side -effects from Propecia, because, it does work magnificently. I had to halt both Propecia(side-effects: depression, limp erections, breast pain brain spikes), and Minoxidil%5(headaches and alergy, manifested by irritated knuckles). Aloe Vera and Ketoconazole is the only topical treatment for me now. Shampooing with GNC Biotin Shampoo. I also ingest Angelica and Siberian Root/Ginseng, cod liver oil and, GNC biotin capsules. Regular exercise which makes you sweat abundantly also works.
  12. Bill, I still think you should correct it. The meaning is not as you put it, according to the thefreedictionary.com .
  13. A "select few"? Perhaps you mean a "few". A "select few" sounds like the Dr. Chose who were the patients to suffer side-effects.
  14. Unless you hint it, nobody will notice the small details.
  15. He hasn't resumed the treatment, from what I've read in other threads.
  16. If you are like me you'll leave it after depression and headaches strike full force.
  17. I felt very sensible to any emotional situation, seldom very simple problems would make me want to cry, I'd take everything in the negative meaning, I'd exert a huge effort to stay neutral(not even mildly delighted), and as I wrote before, I had suicidal thoughts. I had no idea it had such huge impact until I read it and quit the medication. After stopping the medication of finasteride, the depression receded.
  18. Yes the article was very helpful. I have found the same or similar information from other sources, so I am sure Dr. Arocha knows what he is talking about. Thanks again.
  19. そうですか。面白いですよ。それできれいですね。仕事で頑張ってください。
  20. There have been many reported suicides from the depression that the prolonged usage of Finasteride may induce. In fact, I had suicidal thoughts when in treatment with Propecia. I take a lot of natural suplements, they seem to help at maintaining the hairs that are not sensible to DHT, which is great if you want a hair transplant in the future. Angelica(Dong Quai) and Biotion, to mention a few, are very helpful at healthy hair growth.
  21. Some Doctors are aware of the risks, and are not willing to impose such risk to their patients. On the contrary, they are being very ethical at being cautious.
  22. No, it means be skeptical about it. You want specifically the FDA name in the criticism, and not 40 years ago but rather very recently? Here: Burzynski The Movie - Cancer Is Serious Business
  23. It is still a government based institution.
