  1. gents, i appreciate your thorough insights. its obvious its a personal preference thing. just like having an ht just hearing personal rationale behind it sometimes is good, rather than generalizing. cas
  2. here's one i found that was particularly interesting. i guess dr's have to go through n intense "analysis" of our hair to determine the root of our "problem" and whats with the percentages? any insights? Cas

  4. let me ask you guys opinion on this. i recently went to see a doctor, a good dr of high character and skill, and he took some pics of my head (before pics in my "win a free hair transplant" section) Link to pic, within essay: http://hair-restoration-info.com/eve/forums?a=tpc&s=5696015661&f=955103892&m=496103214 then he photoshopped one and showed me what it would look like with 2000 grafts placed in the frontal area only, leaving the back bare. I could get it filled in later i feel. Would you opt for this in your HT or would you do differently? I hear this is the most natural looking ht, and best way to do it. this would be opting for greater density in the front, while sacrificing overall density of the entire head. personally, my choice is how the picture below portrays. Just looking for outside opinions. and i see so far the consensus is to opt for the front and ignore the crown as well. Thanks in advance.. Cas
  5. take a look at "badhairday for life"... when he shaves his head his scars are barely noticeable in my opinion
  6. i have discussed staples as an alternative to stiches as stiches resulted in a stretched donor area during my first ht one thing that i am concerned about is the small staple holes that it potentially could leave. i see this on some guys heads a doctor also told me that its almost impossible to sleep with them in your head to for those two weeks but yes, i'm sure that those two weeks are miniscule in the grand scheme of things. i would opt for staples too but these are my only concerns.
  7. hi altair which is the new pic? the pic you attached was dated 6/20. i guess i will assume thats it.
  8. Bana, You should formulate a list of doctors and ask what their density limitations are most will say 50-60. transection can occur if more that. good luck.
  9. greenpanther, i know how you feel. ive got a scar too and i have the same amount of grafts you did. solution: your next ht get some grafts inplanted into the scar.
  10. i think your HT looks good, dude. i think you should keep it at the length you used to have to really look great. happy growing.
  11. i think your hair looks good. grow it out man. stop shaving it. i think hair looks much more pluggy when short - not to say yours but in general the longer it is the better it can be concealed.
  12. i went to eat the other day at this restaurant and noticed this bald waiter. of course since I am balding i took notice, and was wondering why he shaved it in the first place. then when he turned around to attend to another table i noticed he had a scar on the back of his head. a small one, sorda like mine. so then i looked very closely at his head and noticed a small area in his temple region where he had an ht. apparently he got fed up at his advancing hair loss and couldnt keep up, or it was botched. either one i guess. Anyhow, the moral is i doubt anyone else noticed this, because not to many people know what an ht looks like.
  13. I just had to post this. I was reading from the new "The Apprentice" website and comments left from last year's clown/golden boy Sam. Here are some comments he made about baldness... "Play Time As the teams get down to business and devise a new product for Mattel, my early observations of the contestants remind me of last season. The men lack creativity while the women, albeit catty and domineering, are highly creative and energetic. The male Mosaics led by excruciatingly annoying Pamela create an action figure that looks more like burnt toast with wings. And the women led by bald-headed Bradford, come up with a remote controlled car with removable parts. And another side note: Bradford has no chance of winning because he is bald. Trump will never pick a hairless Apprentice. Trump believes that strength is in the hair and likely finds bald men weaker in physical and mental strength. Although George is nearly bald, he's been with Trump for thirty years and surely had a full head when hired. I know you think I'm a nutcase for this observation, but I'll put $250,000 in a briefcase right now and bet anyone that Bradford does not take the prize. Any takers?" ahhhh, screw you man.....

  15. im sure you will see improvement with just 500. but like hbt said it may be wise to only go forward with it if you are sure this is the last ht you will get, otherwise you may be wasting your time. but 500 does make a difference.
  16. so if the effects of propecia start to wear off after 3 months, can i go 3 months on, 3 months off, etc?
  17. i am seriously becoming an advocate for nioxin. that stuff is great. it works very well with thinning hair. i highly, highly recommend anyone to use that stuff. you can go to their website to find a distribution partner. do a search on google.
  18. keep us updated. I bet you will be feeling great this time next year. Cas
  19. i dont think drinking my piss is the way to go.
  20. I'm bald but dont need glasses... but I am gaining a lot of weight
  21. Ya, i totally agree. Let me re-phrase... I think he should concentrate on filling in the top, not the hairline. It still seems a bit thin so I think it may do justice to fill in the top, working his way to the back. Thats at least the advice that I keep getting and I have the same pattern as that guy somewhat. Cas
  22. I went to Straub. you can Private Messege me to see recent pics. It actually is coming out OK. The scar was the main problem.
